lol well thats cheered my day up xD

been busy as hell today, had to go out in the van drop off all our gas bottles and then to scrap yard drop off all our copper and old air coils.

then back to work and carry on starting refurbing another air con unit whilst waiting for my manager to think about actually giving me the parts to do the job and get off her damn computer.

never had a job where i have to fight to get parts to actually do a job.

finally got parts about 2pm by 4pm the main gas system is together and sealed sitting on nitrogen gas for leak testing overnight. waiting for me for a nice lazy friday and unit will all be done and finished at tested by 11.45am ready for the weekend

    damn im good :D

    Hey @Basil

Yes higher wages (pay) is one of the reasons, from my understanding the two main issues are healthcare & temporary workers. The company wants us to pay more in healthcare & they don’t want to turn temps into permanent workers.

i see sounds like there setting things up in there favour whilst screwing you all over keep with it.

years ago company i was in about 600 factory workers we had to threaten strike because they where trying to force new contracts on us all in there favour again with poor terms and conditions etc. would have costs us a fortune in overtime in the summer as well.

in the end the site manager was forced out as he couldnt get it thru the union he had to resign. we had the old company manager brought back from the larger company group to calm it all down and peace was restored the most important thing is you all stick together no matter what.

i do suspect from the odd day as you are doing is not the answer, we threatened a straight walk out for a week to start with at the most busyiest time of year.

and the if that did not resolve it we had noticfied them of a 2 week walk out the following month.

they folded soon as both of those notifications in together, i dont know how it works in your country but we have to give notice of a strike months in advance to comply with the law but if its at a time to hurt them most business wise a week to start with sends a strong message back but we would have done it and fook um.

hope it all pans out for you all and dont give up or they will try walking over you all for ever more

We call the paw movement  The Chinchilla Salute 🤗❤❤👍

here ann get where you coming from but didnt really realise you where like your chinchillas and that is you squeak when you walk xD

no my old man was exactly like you but he was ex raf and if house was below 18

only then thermostat was set at 18c and me my sister where cold alot of the time.

so we had a game of thermostat football, he would turn it down and as he cleared out of the hall me or my sister would turn it back up to 21c to the point him coming back shouting out who the hell has turned this back up with me and my sister in other rooms quietly laughing even our mum knew and agreed with us. in the end think he gave up sort of but we never did.

18c for work is fine you work you warm up no issue, sitting around at home dossing about 21c is nice.

and i wont be cold ever. also bought and evohome system cost me £700 quid for it but cut my fuel bills £350 a year, old bill was £1200 a year (on a 2 bed mid terrace house) so has now long paid off for itself and im making money.

basically ann you heat the rooms you use not the whole house. really dead clever you should have a look.

have a read worth it i you want to save some money more for steels then

  7. @Scary Hair cars have these magic things called car engines and car heaters, you leave engine idleing and heater turned up, blower on and the car gets really warm.

take it from and aircon engineer and dont run the car on the air con just use the normal heater from the car takes heat directly from the engine far more effiecent.

use a little bit of petrol but you will be warm and car radio is there for bit of entertainment. even in your little tonka toy :D

🥤@Basil, that is nice of you to help your dad out, as well you should...

always love your parents 🥰(I wish I could have known/loved them more as they passed away when I was way too young, as I miss them terribly 😪).

im really sorry to hear that veum, im always helping my olds out always will.

just on occasion sometimes my dad can drive me up the wall. he has an amazing habit of knowing better going all round the houses and then ending up doing what i suggested in the first place and this dance can go on for days weeks or even years dependant on what he thinks he know better.

i just let him carry on and think he knows best its the easyiest most peaceful way.

fed up with all the rucking shouting and screaming and im not on about me either.

luckily for me we get on far better now but is a very very long story and many things have had to happen over the years to get where we are now.

but slowly but surely things have improved and has taken alot of work, over the years on both sides.

but we are only human in the end.

and yes i do love my dad.

  10. well tommorrow is goona be a fun day for me missus  going out with her mother for day shopping thinking getting some peace and quiet and film day as its pissing down here tommorrow all day.

and my father phoned up with his computer so be looking at that ripping out norton thank fook (be trying for him to get rid of it for years) anyway reckon thats goona take some hours to sort out his piece of sh1t and actually make it run like it should do then he can stop nagging me about it running badly.

finally realised i actually know hell of lot more about computers than he does, it does grate him as he used to work for IBM years ago xD

so hopefully can sort swiftly and get on with much more important film watching.

    Description

It takes good and evil to save the world in this adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s cult novel, starring Michael Sheen and David Tennant.
Aziraphale is a fussy angel. Crowley is a loose-living demon. They’ve both been on Earth for over 6,000 years. During that time they’ve grown quite fond of it, and, against all odds, each other. But there’s a problem – the Antichrist has arrived here on Earth, which means the world they have become too fond of will end in flames, if they don’t manage to save it. This wildly imaginative and screamingly funny drama follows Aziraphale and Crowley as they join forces in an attempt to find an 11-year-old Antichrist (and his dog) and avert the Apocalypse. Armageddon is coming – but it doesn’t have to be the end of the world.
    Featuring an all-star cast including:
MICHAEL SHEEN (Masters of Sex) as Aziraphale
DAVID TENNANT (Doctor Who) as Crowley
JON HAMM (Mad Men) as Gabriel
ADRIA ARJONA (True Detective) as Anathema Device
MICHAEL McKEAN (Better Call Saul) as Shadwell
MIRANDA RICHARDSON (The Hours) as Madame Tracy
JACK WHITEHALL (Fresh Meat) as Newton Pulsifier
And voice talent from BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH (Sherlock)

Actor Michael Sheen, Ariyon Bakare, Nina Sosanya, David Tennant, Jon Hamm, Anna Maxwell Martin, Sam Taylor Buck, Daniel Mays, Nick Offerman, Sian Brooke, Ned Dennehy

No need to preach to me brother, I’m already converted.

IMHO @BobaFett1974 is producing steels that quality wise are on par and even surpass those released by renowned retailers. Their exclusivity and the fact that I am actively participating in designing my steels (choice of art, titles etc) is just the icing on the cake.

Directed by the Master of Suspense, Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window is an edge-of-your-seat classic starring two of Hollywood’s most popular stars. When a professional photographer (James Stewart) is confined to a wheelchair with a broken leg, he becomes obsessed with watching the private dramas of his neighbours play out across the courtyard.

When he suspects his neighbour of murdering his nagging wife, he enlists his socialite girlfriend (Grace Kelly) to help investigate the suspicious chain of events, leading to one of the most memorable and gripping endings in all of film history. Honoured in AFI’s 100 Years... 100 Movies for excellence in film, Rear Window has also been hailed as “one of Alfred Hitchcock’s most stylish thrillers” (Leonard Maltin’s Classic Movie Guide).
