  1. The Xenomorphs Hold the Key to Humanity's Future in New 'Alien' Comic Series Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Julius Ohta launch a new 'Alien' epic this August. This August, writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson will continue his bold contributions to the world of ALIEN in an all-new comic series! Featuring the incredible and terrifying artwork of rising star Julius Ohta, ALIEN #1 will kick off a new saga that will serve as a perfect entry point into the legendary horror/science-fiction franchise for newcomers and as a must-read for longtime fans. Packed with thrilling revelations and fresh insights into the ALIEN mythos, this new chapter promises to further explore the hard-hitting themes Johnson presented in the title’s first era as a new cast of characters must go deep into Xenomorph territory for a chance to combat human extinction. A small colony of synths have settled in secret on a backwater moon. When a company of United System soldiers come to them for help retrieving biotechnology on a hostile planet that could be the key to saving humanity, the synths must decide whether the prospect of peace between man and machine is worth the risk of betrayal. "Writing Season 1 of Marvel’s ALIEN was a horror fanboy’s dream come true,” Johnson said. “We got to tell exactly the story we wanted to tell, bringing horrific new species of Xenomorph to life while also exploring the themes of family and corporate distrust that are such a crucial part of the films. And as much as I loved our Season 1, we’re outdoing it in every way in the new series." "The series kicks off a chapter called ALIEN: ICARUS, which heightens the action in a similar way to how James Cameron’s 1986 Aliens did after the original film," he continued. "In ALIEN: ICARUS, readers will meet the legendary Synthetic Special Operations Team, led by one of my favorite original Alien characters so far: an unstoppable synthetic named Freyja." "When disaster strikes a crucial United Systems planet, the entire human population of the system relies on Steel Team finding the long-deserted Weyland-Yutani Research and Development outpost on Tobler-9, one of the most hostile environments in the known universe. Steel Team’s the most bad-ass strike team in military history, and they’ve never met an organic life form that offered them the slightest threat…but they don't know what's waiting for them on Tobler-9," he explained. "Julius Ohta is exceeding all expectations as series artist," he added. "Every background, every facial expression and emotion, and of course, all the environmental creepiness and full-on body horror is lovingly rendered by Julius, who is at the absolute top of his game right now. I can’t say enough great things about him. Fans are going to be truly spoiled. Stay tuned for one of the best, most beautiful ALIEN comics ever made." “When I got invite to draw the new Alien series, I had a professional and standard reaction - I was glad to be invited and I was determined to make it the best work of my life. But then, a few minutes later, it came all at once - I understood that I was going to draw Alien… THE ALIEN. I freaked out (in a very good way) and then I knew the tremendous responsibility that is to be in this franchise,” Ohta shared. “Even though, there’s a huge responsibility to bring the series to life, I couldn’t expect a better welcome from the creative team. It is been fantastic to work with Phillip, Sarah [Brunstad] and everyone involved," he said. "Phillip is a genius and also a gentleman and is always looking for something to make the story better. When I started reading the script, I couldn’t stop until I reached the last page. I could talk about it forever… Sarah is such a kind editor and it’s been a dream to work with these guys! “The Alien franchise influenced an entire generation and I’m among the people who were hugely influenced by the movies, designs, games and so much more. I hope readers enjoy the series we are bringing to them,” he concluded. 3. It really does doesn’t it?! I almost want to fast forward pas Ms. Marvel in anticipation for this one. 😁 Who knows what this will open up. It’s really nice to see the “Movie Stars” playing their roles in the series as well as they introduce more characters into the wider MCU.

  5. Blufans TDK invoice paid. I can’t help but feel my time as a Psycho is moving ever closer to an end, knowing there are two more of these to come in the Nolan trilogy and how much 3 movies will have cost me. And that’s without even considering double dipping with Manta. Personally I’m not overly pleased with the lack of detail on costs within both the GB thread and the invoice. Costs should be made clearer IMO, though I do appreciate that is up to the prerogative of the team and that the cost of Everything is indeed going through the roof these days. But it’s for that Very reason that we as consumers are paying more attention to what we are paying for, and should be able to understand a true breakdown of costs. It just feels like this simply isn’t going to be sustainable for me for much longer having been here since the start of MP. I’ve already dialled back on the amount of GBs I participate in, but I can honestly say that Blufans GBs used to roughly cost half of what I have just paid for a single slip. ☹️ Please understand that I am Not trying to stir up trouble or upset anyone, just thinking out loud with my disappointment in how such an enjoyable hobby is sadly becoming unattainable.
  6. Curse that German efficiency… but you can’t keep a good fellow down. Tea & Cake anyone? 😁 No word of a lie, I’m about to watch this fine Gent do his thing in the Garden 😁👌🏼 Toddle-Pip.
  7. Whats your age group now mate? I rather get the impression you make an Awesome teacher. 😊👍🏼
  8. Hi @Gary K This is Great news! Fingers crossed that Isaac is up for continuing the role then. I thought he was really good and I won’t be alone in that thought, so hopefully his stock has slightly risen further to encourage a 2nd season. As for Loki 2, My guess is that it will be between Antman & the Wasp: Quantumania & Fantastic 4 due to the story telling around Kang the Conquerer. 🤞🏼
  9. So I finished Moon Knight on Weds. That was some trippy fun. You'd have to say that this has been left WIDE open for a 2nd series, though nothing to my knowledge has been mentioned. And as I have said before, their schedule is Massive right now. Loki is supposedly also getting a 2nd series though no news on that one either.
  10. Ticket prices have actually dropped here in a bid to get bums on seats. It wasn’t that long ago I was boycotting the cinema, as by the time I had paid, got some nibbles and paid for transport I could buy the damn WWA. Seems like it’s that way for you now. But here it’s now much cheaper again. Plus if I go when I am in the office, I can park in the office car park until 10pm.
  11. I can’t go on Friday 😰 Will try over the weekend but failing that, I’m skipping out of the office early Monday and skiving in the cinema. It’s literally around the corner from where I work 😂👍🏼
  12. I can’t decide if I’ve watched all the MCU so many times that these just aren’t news to me, or if some of these are just a bit of a reach, and should really be pretty obvious to most? 🤷🏼‍♂️ Again, either way it doesn’t matter. It’s still great to see some more cool posts and activity in here other than my own prattling on 😂 Nice one @Veum 😊👌🏼
  13. Kinda feels like I’ve always been ahead of the game reading this 😂 Surely these have to have been written by much younger fans than myself, who are only now piecing sh*t together. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Lol Even so, good read. Cheers @Veum 👍🏼

  15. I hope you’re right mate. But I’m more bothered with Vulture & Scorpion than Spidey at this point 😁 It would be awesome to see a fully evolved Scorpion hit our screens. Plus with the way NWH plays out, you would say that those guys featuring in a Sinister 6 is pretty unlikely now. I guess we still have Scorpion, Vulture, Venom, Kraven the Hunter, Rhino & Mister Sinister to play with (among others). It was so cool to see returning villains in No Way Home, but on reflection part of me equally wanted something new, OR to tie up the Homecoming end credit scene.

  17. @Ari What am I even looking at? 😁 Is that like an altar or something someone has made?
  18. @Hecko I would also recommend Super 8. It’s a great movie. In fact, I may have to tee that one up again for another rewatch this week.
  19. My personal preference would be to have stand alone editions and not a stupid big box (I know I’m in the minority here) for 1, 2 & Afterlife. And I feel that in terms of consistency, Nova would be a create contender (thinking JW and Tarantino efforts), though I equally feel like GB isn’t a franchise that would be on their radar. …I’ll just wait for the masses to all call for HDZ now that I’ve said that. 😂
  20. After my afternoons viewing I felt like saying this, didn’t know where to say it, so all of you lucky people get to be my audience on this one… WHERE ARE ALL THE WEA GHOSTBUSTERS FULLSLIPS AT???!!! (and while we’re at it, just chuck a Super 8 in there as well please and thank you).
  21. So, This has been bugging me since Far From Home came out, but now that Spideys story appears all but done in the MCU after appearing in 6 movies as per Hollands reported contract, What may I ask was the point of this? Perhaps something didn’t pan out with Keaton’s contract? Perhaps Feige decided to go in another direction? Perhaps one of you knows the Answer? But as a Big Spidey and a Big Keaton fan, this one really Irks me somewhat as it really excited me to see not only Keaton return as Vulture, but also the tease of the beginning of Scorpion hitting the MCU.
  22. @Sir-Godric Funnily enough, @notdan was asking a similar question recently ahead of a trip to London. He may be able to give a couple of suggestions.
