You beat me to it! My copy of Texas Chain Saw arrived from Second Sight today. Echo what you say about it being a great collector's box. The 190 page book is very high quality.
Some additional pics to compliment the ones already posted are attached...
Thank you for sharing! I'm waiting on mine to arrive. Then, the fun begins, comparison time between the Dark Sky and Turbine release.

Thanks...yes, this is great...it came with a bust of Michael.
No Sideshow of course, but still great! 😍😍😍
This I don't know either... but I think there are just the old Rob Zombie Halloween Mediabooks.
But from the second part and the original and the remake of 2018
...well, there is some amazing stuff!
Awesome pickup on the Halloween II Mediabook @javi! I will have that bust someday!

Any ocd I ever had with steelbooks is now gone. Best Buy scratching, spine slashing, and denting nearly all steelbooks started me down the path of caring less. But now even if the steelbook survives Best Buy or another retailer's shipping, I still then have to worry about mother nature rusting the darn thing.
Thank goodness most of my money is in premium cardboard that won't rust. 😅.
It's always a gamble in the mail for sure. With mine coming from overseas, I'm so used to some kind of damage. I'm actually shocked when there isn't some.

At one time this was in perfect condition. It was stored in a plastic case in a closet in the basement with humidity 46-47%.
Maybe it was caused from the oils on my hands, although the steelbook was not touched more than a few times.
It was a beauty before the rust, and difficult to see this happen.
Also noticed a few others with tiny rust marks on the corners. Thankfully only a few, but definitely going to keep an eye on them and might move them to another location to see if that helps.
Anybody else see this happen or have any ideas to prevent this. Will be using gloves from now on. I guess they are metal and will eventually rust but 3-4 years seems very early.
I've not seen that before in a steelbook, but have on metal based toys. Are you in a humid area? I know humidity isn't good for Metal (learned it the hard way).

Thank you @BreakBeatDJ for this great post. I was actually hoping to see something like that (maybe also a list of what members saw and which vote they gave).
My
to @hal56 @hansdermeister @Reagh @R1s1ngs0n @Baphomet @Gary K for actually seeing all the movies.
Like I wrote in the beginning I will not revisit most movies I already know and it will be hard to fit in the other movies in my weekly concepts. To be honest it is even more difficult than I thought it would be. But I will continue to try and see some when I can.
My list so far:
1: Druk = 8 Points (already knew this, not watched again)
2: The Way Back = 7 Points (already knew this, not watched again)
3: Sorcerer = 7 Points (1st time viewing)
4: Cinema Paradiso = 8 Points (already knew this, not watched again, but want to watch again at some point)
5: Revanche (not yet seen)
6: Solaris = 4 Points (already knew this, not watched again)
7: Cell 211 (not yet seen, it is available on amazon with freevee (which contains commercials 😔) and also only in German 😭. Looks like I need a prison week for that)
8: The Dam Busters = 8 Points (1st time viewing)
9: Mulholland Drive = 8 Points (2nd time viewing upgrade to strong 8 Points)
10: Man BItes Dog = 3 Points (1st time viewing)
11: Insomnia (I already know this one and I absolutely did not like it. 1 Point, watched it 20 years or so ago. I also know the Nolan Version, gave it 6 Points. Absolutely no clue why he wanted to do that, it is his weakest movie (don't know Following from 1998))
I do have to admit that I'm also struggling to motivate myself as the choices are partly not really my thing, which is strange as I watch basically every genre and movies with different themes. I watch around 360 movies a year and unfortunately even that number does not leave much time to actually watch the movies that are in my collection. I just noticed that I do have over 100 4K upgrades that I still need to see. But my watchlist is so full with new stuff, or classic movies (that I don't know yet), that it has become impossible to even hope to catch up (which is depressing). For years I watch new trailers on sunday, so that watchlist is always growing, I think my biggest issue is that I'm simply interested in to much 😪, or follow to many actors. So seeing movies show up here that I actually decided not to see after watching the trailer is not so great 😅.
Fun Fact: My record for most movies watched in a single year is 530 😨. That was still at a time when we did not have so many good Series, but to be honest I will never do that again 🤣
Anyway, here is my outlook to the coming weeks:
12: Climax (not yet seen) (I saw the trailer years ago and this is a movie I basically have no interest in seeing, so I don't know if it will happen)
13: Dark Water (not yet seen) (I saw the 2005 Remake with Jennifer Connelly and I liked it, I'm actually surprised I don't know the original, I plan to watch this sometime)
14: The Good, the Bad, the Weird (not yet completely seen) (I actually started the movie years ago as I like the Director and it has Lee Byung-hun in it, but I dropped it as I found it annoying. Anyway I have it as bonus movie in my A Bittersweet Life Mediabook, so I'm giving it another chance later)
15: Rolling Thunder (not seen yet) (If I find it I will most likely watch it)
16: Possessor (not yet seen) (This is another one of the movies that I decided not to watch after seeing the Trailer, I actually found it in the MagentaTV Megathek, so I can watch, but I don't know if I want that 😅. To be honest the Horror Genre has become by far my least favorite Genre)
19: Room 8 Points (already know this one, really good movie, but I will not watch again)
I also have a hard time to decide on my choice.
Sorry about the long text, but even when I said before that I could not watch the weekly movie in that week I feel a little guilty.
Being a movie fan is quite stressful 🤪
It is definitely the hardest thing to be, is a movie watcher, since we all have genres we usually cater towards. I appreciate your honesty and sincere reviews!

As some of you may have noticed, our good friend @Reagh has not been around much lately.
With his permission, he wanted me to let you all know he is going through some mental health hurdles and will be taking time off from MP.
I chatted with him this morning and he is getting the help he needs at this point.
Obviously, like everyone, I am wishing my good friend all the best and give him 100% support, and am looking forward to his return, whenever that is.
He asked me to take over facilitating Films Unearthed, this fun movie club he started, I'll do my best to keep the good times rolling.
Sending our love and prayers for @Reagh. Thank you Mark for helping him, and if needs anything don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you @Veum for your pick on Insomnia 1997. I bought this one because I have seen it before. So rewatching it, and the 2002 American Remake back to back was fun. The suspense about Engstrom getting caught was captivating, as he was so worried about it. Stellan Skaarsgard does a phenomenal job as Engstrom and brings that Noir feeling right back into modern times. 10/10 for me. The 1997 version is superior than the 2002 in my book, the tension & suspense and atmosphere made it so much better. I still want to know what happened after the ending (not going to spoil it).

Hi Psychos,
So, I watched Dark Waters last night for the first time. Good movie. Got me a bit worried though. I heard years ago about non-stick pans being bad for you, but that didn't stop me buying them as they work so well. All of my cookware is non-stick.
I'm seriously contemplating on changing it out to stainless steel now.
Has anybody here actually made a move like that after seeing this movie?
I remember watching this and thinking that it's definitely not a good thing, but I was so tired of food sticking, that I "stuck" with Non-Stick items.
