That’s great , thanks for the descriptions, I think I’ll take a risk with belladonna. Am I right in thinking the code geass set has the four films but not the tv show? If so are the films a sort of reboot?

Thanks, Ive just recently watched that video and I’ve got my eye on a few titles I haven’t heard of like kaiba and belladonna, as well as code geass and cardcaptor which I’ve never got around to watching. I can’t wait to see what they’re putting in the sale, fingers crossed for demon slayer and full metal alchemist.

I love all the slips after feeling ambivalent towards the steel. I usually prefer manta fs to their lenticulars but that sl looks great, I think that’s a korean poster if im not mistaken, im sure I’ve seen it before. -
I’ve only watched in the mood for love so far and had the same problem, but found the English subs by cycling through the subs during playback using the subtitle button on the remote control. I’m assuming it’s the same for the other titles.

Thanks chaps, so I’ll watch a couple of eps of both before splurging on or avoiding them. Additionally, death parade is getting a re release soon which is something else I haven’t seen. Any thoughts on that?

Yes it seems nge is already shipping out to many people already, I’d just started a rewatch on dvd with the subs too. I’ll definitely be getting nichijou too, that’s another kyoani show I haven’t seen, along with hyouka. I’ve noticed Zavvi have steel books for goblin slayer and darling in franxx, I haven’t seen those either and heard they’re quite controversial so I might watch the first few eps on funimation if they’re on. They don’t seem like safe blind buys.

They do this sometimes to avoid cancellations but usually just by a week, they’ve never charged this early before so I’m wondering if they’re shipping early maybe.

@LeGonze @Billy Talent @Grendel @extantsrevenge @mjk @Jiggy Higgins Zavvi are having a sale on manga/funimation at the moment, only standard releases but I’ve picked up amagi brilliant park and miss koboyashi dragon maid by kyoani. I was gonna get yuri on ice, Hunter x Hunter, and fairy tail too but Zavvi have just charged me for evangelion a month early so I have to be careful this month.

I’m loving the fact that Nova are continuing with this series, do we know how many titles they have planned? I thought it was just the first three for some reason so the last two were a welcome surprise. -

Just got these in from Amazon US, amazingly with no damage apart from a small dink in the Legend box corner. I only got the Columbia box set for taxi driver, the rest of the titles are going on eBay lol.

Yep, I am. It’s much better sized than the shout factory set. I’ve only seen wolf walkers so far but very interested in the first two as well.

Sorry mate, I’d forgotten about that sale (and thanks for the tag). I’ve just checked and there’s a few left but I’m still a little indifferent to the shout/sc ghibli steels. Plus I’d have to track down all twenty two of them so I think I’m going to be lazy and get the amarays instead, it’s my own fault for not getting them when they first started to trickle out.

Thanks, I might just call it a night trying to locate ghibli steels and just get the amarays instead, possibly with some custom slips.

Those ghibli steels are great, are they still in print or long gone? I was thinking about getting either the shout or studio canal ones but these look better.

Received wizard of oz today and it’s a beauty, the wwa steel is much better than I remember seeing in the general release photos, embossed title and spot gloss on the flowers. Definitely worth the wait, thanks @blu.steel33 and Forrest Gump. The Universal monster steel books look like what you’d expect from that studio, dull streaky matte.

@Billy Talent these all look amazing, I’m especially interested in the amagi brilliant park and chunibyo as I’m currently building up my kyoani collection. Are these all sentai releases I take it?

My Fallen Angels turned up today, thanks @blu.steel33, I went for the full slip as it offered more of a contrast to the steelbook. Nova can’t seem to miss at the moment.

There There appears to be a psychic link forming on this anime page because I too dipped my big toe in the Fate universe a few days ago. I was unsure where to begin like everyone else but went with unlimited blade works, just the first two episodes and it’s certainly got it’s hooks in. Zavvi still have UBW and Zero in stock so I’ll buy those first and then move onto the three movies. I don’t think they’ve all been released here yet though. I watched that amusing gigguk video last week and apparently he got a bit of flak from the more overzealous fans who thought he was making fun of the fandom, he was talking about it on his other channel trash taste highlights a while ago. I’ll watch the more in depth video you linked to today I think.
