  1. It’s still saying currently unavailable at my end, this often happens with Amazon Germany until closer to release date so hopefully it’ll still be in stock in a few weeks.
  2. My sentai sale items arrived today tsurune ce Vampire Hunter d steelbook Many thanks to @nathan_s82
  3. Yeah I opened them when they arrived, the boxes are very sturdy (much more than your usual chipboard anime box.) more similar to a one click but not as thick. Each set has half a season spread across five discs, along with the soundtracks and audio dramas ( which are obviously in Japanese but apparently translations can be found on line). Both Zero and UBW come with English subtitles but only the versions that come in two parts, the complete single box versions are Japanese only. Mandarake currently has Zero for 12000 yen (approx $90) which is actually half what aniplex are asking, it’s just a bit of a risk because they’re second hand sealed items and might have dings or dents.
  4. Got some items from cdjapan and mandarake this morning - sound euphonium recap movie 1 + 2 sound euphonium the movie liz and the bluebird sound euphonium live fate zero box 1 + 2 the fate boxes have two dented corners but I can’t complain at 10000 yen.
  5. Oh that looks awesome, English subtitles too. Cdjapan also has it.
  6. https://www.anime-on-line.com/vinland-saga/31312-vinland-saga-collection-collector-s-edition-tbc-blu-ray-5060067009380.html i think this is it. There’s no image yet but they’ve confirmed it’s the same set minus the poster.
  7. They’ve added a deluxe edition of this to cdjapan, it’s listed as an Amazon exclusive so they must have it as well. I’m thinking I’m gonna get the one you first posted about without the extra tat.
  8. MVM just announced the uk release of this for about £50, it seems to come with everything apart from fabric poster. Sometimes MVM boxes aren’t as good quality as sentai but still it’s a much better price.
  9. Yeah it looks good, hopefully ata get it but Sony released it here so it’ll probably be a Crunchyroll title if it comes out here at all .
  10. Dammit, I really want that tsurune set and vampire Hunter steelbook but they don’t ship internationally. Does anyone know if we can use the sentai site for gbs? @LeGonze?
  11. I use cdjapan and mandarake primarily but there’s also Amazon and yesasia. Mandarake is excellent for finding second hand bargains but doesn’t mention if it contains English subs/dubs, cdjapan does though but only sells items that are still in print.
  12. MVM are also releasing this in the uk so there might be a cheaper alternative soon. Also my shinkai titles arrived the other day along with two collections of full metal panic novels and goblin slayer and berserk steelbooks.
  13. No I have the steelboooks already for those two, I’m double dipping on the amaray full slips.
  14. Garden of words 5 centimetres place promised in our early days I probably should have waited for them to do children who chase lost voices to save on shipping but I got impatient. 😬
  15. Nice, that’s quite a haul. I bought some of those titles from nova last week but they’re stuck in Heathrow airport at the moment.
  16. Yep, just bought violet evergarden eatamd and the eureka seven movie. Also I watched the your name edition we all received last week and the picture and sound quality is better than the ata/funimation release, they seem to have used bd100 discs instead of bd66 discs. I think I remember you saying you were thinking of getting the ata ce, but I wouldn’t if I were you, you’ve got the best version even if the packaging was a disappointment.
  17. Yeah I sold them when these two were announced, I still think these look better though to be honest.
  18. Yeah I’ve heard mixed things about these two releases from a number of people, my main hope is that the sound quality is better on this your name release as the funimation/ata one was a little muted. I’ve sold my ata editions anyway so I’m stuck with these ones.
  19. It’s great isn’t it? I was impressed how despite being a prequel you didn’t feel guided toward the beginning of the original material like some prequels do, I liked the familiar characters more this time too for some reason.
  20. I found it a bit hard to get through at times, it might be because I was binging to much of it at once in time for the film coming out whereas demon slayer I watched at a more leisurely pace. I actually find demon slayer a frustrating show, especially the decision to do mugen train twice, I suspect a rewatch of both shows will make me see JK more charitably, the film is terrific. I wonder if we’ll see a Blu ray before s1 part 2 comes out.
  21. Yeah that set looks pretty snazzy. I’ve just finished watching jujutsu s1 and the movie and I have to admit I found the show a bit of a slog in parts and I can’t even put my finger on why, in a lot of ways it improves on demon slayer (a show it closely resembles). The film though was fantastic and I’m watching it again tomorrow. Here’s my most recent arrivals anyway- flip flappers ce - MVM sale purchase, I liked it overall bloom into you- absolutely loved, a yuri that deconstructs the genre. perfect blue silent voice - fnac steelbooks that I’d forgotten i ordered on a gb last year lol. nozaki kun - not watched yet, another MVM sale item made in abyss film and series- wtf did I just watch? Holy sh#t never has a cute character design been more misleading. modoka magica- a deconstruction of the magical girls genre, I’ve watched ep 1-8 so far and absolutely love it. I’ll have to get the film from RS cos it’s oop here.
  22. Oooh I’d forgotten that steamboy set was being released, do they have it on Amazon Germany? Or a different retailer like media market?
  23. I watched akira last night in Dolby vision and was very impressed with the picture quality, I can’t do a direct comparison with the other 4k version cos I sold my Korean steel book a few weeks back but this version seems to look a lot more filmic with less artificial sharpening, anyway it’s the best the film has ever looked. Have you had a chance to watch it yet? I keep seeing a lot of excitement about the jujutsu kaisen movie so I’ll give the season a watch along with to your eternity which I’ve also heard great things about. It’s adapted from a manga from the author of a silent voice isn’t it? That’s a good a reason to watch it as any.
