I may enjoy horror so I decided to do 2 submissions.
First is my “rare” horror boxsets. I think the Mario Bava collection from Arrow is the first of all of these that I bought. Arrow was selling them cheap and they announced they would be going OOP, seemed like an obviously good pick up at the time. I actually watched all of these with my wife who hates horror and a childhood friend who loved movies was tragically murdered when we were making our way through the boxset. After every movie I would think “did Mark see that movie? Did he like it?” So it holds a special place in my collection. Both the Bava and Tsukamoto are from Arrow and include sweet hardback booklets.
Next submission is actual horror steelbooks…err…metal-based-movie-cases. Three releases are from Synapse (slips aren’t pictured). They do make beautiful steelbooks and Suspira is a favorite movie and favorite steelbook. Also included exorcist and Alien as absolute classic horror movies. Alien metal-pac is one of my earliest steel-related-books. When are we getting a good 4K premium of Alien and the franchise?!?
Lastly, to answer the question…I can’t really remember the first movie that freaked me out. I grew up in the 80s and 90s and a lot of horror franchises were going hard at that time. Poltergeist stands out in my mind though as freaking me the **** out though.

Amarays and DVDs count, VHS if you're truly desperate lol. Unless @extantsrevenge wants you all to suffer 🤣
@Chief_lookout @ukade2327 @BreakBeatDJ Did I miss a rules update? Many previous posts have used non-steelbooks.
Edit - oh! My picture didn’t post. Wtf. Thanks

Went with a Halloween/horror theme here:
M - MidsommarR - Re-Animator
D - Dawn of the Dead
U - Ugetsu
G - Ghostbusters
A - Amityville
N - Nightmare Sisters (this will do until there’s a 4K box of Nightmare on Elm St)
When I was in college there were a lot of “rate me” or “rate my” websites and one of those sites was “rate my poo”. A “Dugan” was a slang term we used for a poop. I was in a house of 5-6 guys and we created a communal account on the rate my poo website with the user name “Mr Dugan”. Looking back at it, this was the early 2000s before most cellphones had cameras. I don’t really remember how we took pictures of our turds and uploaded them to the website. Did we actually use a film camera, develop the film, scan the pic onto a computer, and then upload the image?!? Website appears to be gone; we always got a kick out of the names/titles we would come up with (as you had to title each post) and at the fact that so many people had looked at our craps. Anyways, I have really been re-using the name for various message boards ever since.

Week 5
Kimchi - Jackie Brown
Kimchi - Akira
WeET - Spider-Man Far From home
These 3 were my first GBs completed at MP. I had started getting into premiums and the popularity of premiums was seemingly increasing. I opted to do the GB instead of trying to buy direct and haven’t looked back. Akira is one of my all time favorite movies and Kimchis artwork for the Jackie Brown releases were all amazing. Jackie Brown was one of the releases where I was actually contemplating a OC because I liked the art so much. Ultimately decided not to as I didn’t feel that I liked the movie quite enough for that but damn are they all great releases.
NovaMedia - Pulp Fiction
I bought this direct from NovaMedia and it was one of my earliest premiums. Pulp Fiction is an all time favorite movie and I really dug this lenticular cover and the steel artwork.
BluFans - Rogue One
This was probably my first premium or at least was part of a group that I bought from Kevin during one of his sales. Star Wars is my favorite franchise and RO is probably my favorite movie or at least tied with ESB.
HDZeta - Interstellar
My parents actually got me this as a gift and was a grail for me. Probably the only release I would truly classify as a grail being something that was released before I started collecting and was relatively hard to find and expensive. It’s still my favorite in my collection.

I’m on a roll, two challenges in one weekend!
Bicycle: Vinegar Syndromes 4K of Rad. This slip is awesome. Lenticular cover and foil reverse.
Motorcycle: Akira, this being the WCL version with the throne being made from pieces of the bike. Figured I would pose it next to my 1/6 scale Kaneda and bike but it’s actually normally displayed next to 1/12 McFarlane figures.
Train: I saw @hal56 post their copy of Arrow’s Runaway Train and was so excited to see it on someone else’s collection that I had to include mine!
Boat: Continuing with Arrow is their LE of Waterworld. Costners sailboat is kind of obscured by the print but whatever.Spaceship: the edition that really got me started on premiums, HDZeta DL of Interstellar.

I missed the first 2 challenges. I just blinked my eye and suddenly it was the next challenge. Didn’t want to let yet another challenge slip away.
Here is my first selection - a double sided poster from Eureka!’s Angela Mao double feature. I have a ton of posters from releases (I’m sure we all do, right?) and this is the first one that I’ve really felt the desire to actually frame up!
Second submission is the MP magnet cover for Avengers Endgame. I believe this came out in conjunction with WeET’s Endgame release.
Last is the CM The Thing release. Their “special gift” was a replica agar plate with blood. The Thing is probably one of my top 3 movies and I probably own more copies of it than any other movie. This release was also coming out just as I was getting into premiums and I remember thinking their website was sketchy AF and it seemingly took forever to come out.- 24

Moducases are 🔥🔥🔥. I have one for my statues.
They are pretty awesome. Lighting is taken care of, fairly easy to construct, and easy to add on units.

Collecting life has been crazy this month. My moducases for my HotToys collection came in, San Diego Comic Con was last weekend, tons of non steelbook premiums coming in, BluFans Batman and HDZ GBs poppin off, HotToys dropping major announcements. It’s nutz. Almost as nuts as BluFans lentis which are gorgeous.

Bunny hunting was at least fun and tiring...bunny counting and verification? That seems like just tiring!
Thank you to @ukade2327 @Trianna @extantsrevenge @R1s1ngs0n @Cornbuster and everyone else who helped put this event on!

Maybe it was ….but you didn't have to check all the replies…
Every time I add a bunny to my pile I think, "man is this going to be a pain in the butt to verify all of these!"
Thank you!

Ahh yes, the ole Roy G Biv P
Red - Deadpool2
Orange - Halloween 2
Yellow - 300
Green - My Neighbor Totoro
Blue - Godzilla King of the Monsters
Violet - Spider-Man 2
Pink - Your Name (it’s pink, I swear!)
My steelbooks I arrange by (mostly) movie title…except major franchises like Star Wars and MCU are arranged together in chronological order. I have a small section of directors where all of their movies are together and arranged in release order. I also have some distributors that I group together. …it’s complicated, but it makes sense to me! Kind of.
