Hello from Virginia!

Hey everybody, I'm DrQuestions! I joined this site a few months back, but just had the opportunity to sit down on view the site from a desktop (which makes it so much easier to navigate). I don’t think I would classify myself as a Media "Psycho", but I have been collecting Steelbooks for a little bit now. The first Steelbook I ever got was for Call of Duty Black Ops and it is dented beyond belief at this point. I mostly collect movie Steelbooks, but I very much regret not preordering the Lego Skywalker Saga for the Steelbook (being an avid Lego collector as well). I have also recently learned of Letterboxd and have been considering making an account to better involve myself, but am not sure how it quite works.

 

Having lurked in the shadows of this community for a few months I also have a few questions about the site:

Firstly, I can’t seem to figure out what reputation points are and how they are utilized.

Secondly, a lot of you seem very involved in this community. How do you manage to stay on top of the different forums without being bombarded by notifications?

Finally, are there any forums you would recommend that I check out to get a better vibe for the community?

• Reputation points are automatically assigned by the system based on member reactions. When someone likes or thanks or laughs a post you get a point.
• You can control notifications by clicking on your image in the upper right corner of the screen and selecting "Manage followed content" from the drop down list
• Mediapsychos.com is the only forum you need! 😂 Keep on top of new posts by clicking on "activity" in the top menu bar, or browse through any of the sections (all shown on the home page) You can start with the release threads of any titles that interest you and the "this and that" thread in the English room for general chat and fun.

 I’m a collector too that started w/Best Buy/Target exclusives that really got me into the Premium editions (I started way back though  & gradually upgraded from VHS to DVD to BD to 4K oh my 🤣). then I was fortunate to find out about this terrific forum MP from another forum I followed & MP took over my #1 place since March ‘19 hey 👋
