You may just have to break down and get a Region B player. I've had my eye on a $70 3D one on Amazon UK (shipped).

Are they not 220V? You might need voltage transformer or converter (whatever it is called).

The usually have a switch according to my wife (who lived in Italy for 10 years). Easy enough to check on specs though.

Ima be an enabler. Buy Oppo-203 and make it Region Free. It is fairly easy to mod it and it’s  future proof.

It's more than I need really for the odd disc. @extantsrevenge was the one that recommended I just get a region B and that's the only other I ever run into. It's certainly a far cheaper option.

 

Edit: correction, she's telling me dual voltage isn't obligatory, but a very common option.
