My wallet hates me right now

Hello to all! My name is Chris, I reside in L.A. and work in the entertainment industry. Until recently, I moved away from all physical media. I know, I know...let me explain before you break out the pitchforks  I was in the process of moving all physical media into the digital space so, I purchased a Blu-ray, DVD, read-write Samsung drive for $60 and began the journey of ingesting 1:1 copies to be stored on 6TB of HDD. (Side note, The Dark Knight Blu-ray transfer is 32GB, in case anyone is wondering) I didn't have an extensive library to begin with, so it didn't take me long to finish. I sold most of my regular-run of the mill Blu-rays from Best Buy purchases but, just couldn't part with some, even though I had beautiful 1:1 lossless digital versions.

 

Then I purchased an LG OLED TV and it changed everything..sort of. In the beginning, I began purchasing 4K non-steelbook versions from various online retailers until a recent visit to my best friends house. He is an avid movie buff and we got to talking about steels and he had me check out a couple from his collection. Not sure if I should dissolve our 30 year friendship over this cause, like a junkie to a needle, I'm hooked 😔My collection is small compared to most, maybe 20, but the obsession is running rampant and I'm certain that I'm back in the physical media game for good.

@ceedless welcome back to the realm of buying physical copies ☺️. I must say your friend is a good one 👍. Steelbooks are awesome and for me the perfect way to own your favorite movies. And no matter how many you own at the moment or in the future, every collection is awesome 😍
