Exactly. Good points. I think for me, I do associate Criterion with the highest quality but they don't always go all out on the packaging. Sometimes, more so on the box sets. In this case, Benjamin Button was a pretty bare bones release for them. I would consider anything by them to be a premium, but because there 2 sides to that, it hits 1 but not other (packaging). So might want more. I do think if they did a David Fincher box set, they would go all out. Would be so nice. Which leads me to Arrow. Those box sets are amazing. The just announced pre-order for "The Game" which looks killer.

Depends on if you consider Criterion a "Premium" or not.

I can't speak to much to the movie as I turned it off after 30 minutes. Joaquin's character was super annoying. I could not stand him.

Yea, that U'mania Lenticular is the nicest and remains. I had but sold. Once I watched the movie I hated it and so sold it. Still a beautiful release though.

From what I was able to figure out is there is multiple listings. For different prices. So both pics you show, there is versions with both. And to make matters worse it seems they keep changing. I see a listing for the Collectors edition Trilogy by itself for ¥11,011. (roughly $104.64 and that is before shipping) Then I see a listing for the Netherlands art type steelbook with the bonus Steelbook New Japan exclusive art for ¥8,470. Then I see a listing for the Collectors Edition Trilogy with the bonus Steelbook pictured that is new art (the 1st photos) for ¥15,400. (roughly $146.35 and that is before shipping) Then I see a listing for the Japanese Blu-ray edition with the bonus Steelbook New Japan exclusive art for ¥6,380. Having the Netherlands type art, my interest is in the Collectors trilogy and Japan unique Steel but at $145 even before shipping.?? Even the trilogy by itself is $104. I will leave links for the 4 I am discussing that I have saved another time if you want, the site is being buggy right now.

Now I just wish they would lose the text on the top. Not a fan of that. Lose or replace with something else.

I may be the only one who feels this way but after receiving the Prestige, I would almost prefer this was in that Digibook format, double lenticular. Prestige was gorgeous.

Agree, at this point I have to get all of them. Lol. I snagged WeEt. Manta will be nice, but probably be awhile. Cinemuseum, the box is really nice, (if they get approved?)and wish there was more unique art, instead of all looking the same. I know they have to get approval but we don't need 6 editions with all the same art. As it is all the same Steel. I don't think anyone will do a unique steel? We also have Fanatics (Blu Fans) announced. Glad to see them doing something other than Marvel. I would not be surprised if Film Arena does also later.

Definitely. I stopped buying from them but have the other 2 so will have to pick this one up. And maybe Once Upon A Time in Hollywood........Grrrrrrr

I looked it up. I see the other 2, Gladiator and Les Mis. I had signed up for notifications on both. Just forgot about. Was on the fence on Les Mis but since releases look so nice, and getting from #!, I wanted to keep getting all hopefully. Thanks

@ksosk Curious, if "Interstellar" is #4 and "The Prestige" is #1. I don't think I have seen #2 or 3. ? What are those. I just paid 1st invoice for Prestige. Looks amazing.

Ordered a couple weeks ago. Is SO NICE. Beautiful. And Amazon Japan is the ONLY Amazon to pack things properly. the 2 times I have had something sent from them, they packed so well. And it is not a lot of bubble wrap. Just really smart packing where it would have to get run over by a truck to get damaged. The item is in the middle of the large box and can't move so it has no way to get banged up. In my case, that box would have to be dente din like 6+ inches to even get the item. Like night and day to on how all the other Amazon send. Even paying extra for Gift option. Will always be damaged. They all need to learn from how Japan send the stuff. Charge more if you have to. Would gladly pay extra to have packed properly. Anyway, this is a beautiful release.
