Ah, gotcha. Forgot about that one. Was thinking of premiums and could not think of one other than HDZeta which has not happened. 
I pre-ordered the set from Zavvi but will most likely cancel it. Since they are censored.

If all the premiums are as well, will just pass on them then. I have Manta Labs. 
I will have to get Film Arenas since I have a number, but can just sell it.

What I really really really hope for, though, is that they include at least the three important main cut editions (the "Directors Cut", the "International Cut" aka "Criterion Cut" and the "Final Cut"). HDZeta did a release of Blade Runner. And UHD Club recently as well. A beautiful Edition. 
There was a nice hard box, not a premium company release but just a regular release, that had I think every cut. Black Box with the unicorn on the cover. Digipack maybe? Can't remember, but it was really nice and it had all 7 if I am not mistaken. Or close to it. I think it was a European release. 

I also have seen just a standard blu-ray (blu-case) that says complete collection and I think has 5 or 6 versions on it. Nothing fancy but has a lot of the cuts.

I am going to guess that when Manta does, it will just have the "Final Cut" on it.?

Yea, they are higher, across the board. But even the shipping form our Group is higher as well. Just not as much.

Me personally, would gauge how much I want that particular item as far as is it worth the extra cost to you.

Personally I only do the group buy if I CAN'T get direct. I would rather have some recourse if and when I receive damaged. 

I went to the website and wanted to see what it would say when I tried.

I went to 4 different items - Random Blu-ray sets, and all 4 did NOT say the usual "Can't Ship to this address,,,,,," that I have seen from UK on some items. 

It seemed fine.

I went to the last stage and the only thing left was to pay and it was fine. So I wan to say it seems ok. 

The fastest Shipping said, estimated delivery was Sept. 09th. Not too bad. As long as you go for the fast Global Air. I would pay the extra to go the fastest.

I would also suggest if it lets you. to add "Gift Option" as it will get a Bag and a box, so it gets a little packing material which they usually won't do. The bag acts as a little packing. And I like to do as if not they would send in a bubble envelope.

So there might be exceptions, I have seen with UK that some will say NO and some will say yes. I think all that have said no are by other sellers and all that are ok are actual AMAZON. 
Lastly Gift option is also only available on Amazon ones.

So check it out for which items and should be ok.

Yup. I Have a flip phone for that. It makes calls. All I want it to do.

Nobody has a smart phone and only uses it for just calls, and would be pointless to have if that was the case.

Most people spend 16 hrs a day staring at their phone and grab it every 5 seconds like a crack pipe.

My phone screen is the first thing I see after I wake up and the last thing I see before I go to sleep. The last time I had the attention span to read a whole book was 11 years ago.

 

I think if I am able to detox from this media overflow in the next few weeks, I can lead a happier life again. And enjoy watching movies again.

I also don't use any social media. Toxic garbage.

Get rid of your phone. You will be much happier, although you still will have everyone else on their phone everywhere you go, being rude and super annoying.

I just put in a request for "The Thing Collectors Edition" on the Group Buy - Zavvi. 

It is sold out, so I searched and found on Warner Uk store still available to pre-order, so put in a request on there (HMV), since the Zavvi one won't be able to be ordered.

Of course every customer has the right to be disappointed about the choice this time. You will often see me criticize UC but I think that IN GENERAL it is a good thing that UC decides to spice it up and try to be different from other retailers. They often look for unique artworks and have new ideas, see their Wooden Boxes or Digipak hard boxes.

Agree, sometimes taking those risks does pay off. Definitely worth taking.
Prestige was gorgeous and one of my favorites.
Unfortunately the risk did not pay off for Gladiator. Would have if they actually had Print quality resolution for said art, which unfortunately they did not but used anyway?

Yes, there are a plethora of licensing and legal hoops that these retailers have to jump through, but when you consider the price of such editions, the editions of this film that are already out there, and the fact that a special set was originally planned, well, I can understand why some would be let down.

Yup. Really don't like. Too bad I was already signed up and will have to buy. Definitely will be selling it. 

What a shame. Was almost certain this would have been the best edition for sure.
