  1. Never received one in this packaging before: Hello there:
  2. It’s not sure the best way/place to post this, but Election is available for preorder in 4K. No release date that I can see, just “coming soon”. I love that movie.
  3. So, again, I might not use the terms the way another person would. It’s certainly not as shiny as the Dune 2 steel, but I wouldn’t quite call it matte. Maybe satin is the right term.
  4. Glossy, at least that’s what I would call it. I think of satin as closer to matte, which it’s definitely not, but we may use the terms differently. It’s quite nice, very shiny orange.
  5. My movies from overseas always go to Chicago, and then Nashville. Got some good movies hanging out in Chicago today! So close I can taste it.
  6. In my early 20s, I lived with 3 other lazy guys in a glorified shanty in the hills of eastern Kentucky. No one wanted to mow the yard. I always wanted to just buy 2 goats, put one in the front of the house and the other in the back, just to see if they’d take care of the problem. Alas, the other guys wouldn’t go for it.
  7. Mine came with one battery and has a slot for a 2nd battery, but the 2nd battery is a bit expensive. I’ll probably just bite the bullet and buy the 2nd battery. In every other way I’m pretty happy with the mower. Makita tends to be great though! Had one of their weed eaters for many years and I’m frankly not sure what happened to it. We moved a lot for my work, lived in 2 places that we rented and didn’t have to worry about the yard work. Started unboxing at the new house and it didn’t turn up.
  8. I just bought my first electric mower, should’ve done more research, didn’t realize electric mowers are mostly a trick to get you to buy more of the (expensive!) batteries. The battery that came with it will sometimes get all the way through the yard, sometimes it won’t. I’ve had to mow part of it one day, the rest of it the next day after the battery charges.
  9. Interesting. Just looked it up on IMDb, looks like Vampire Collateral.
  10. Last copy on the shelf at my local Walmart: Thanks for the tip @deckard99!
  11. Wish I hadn’t already put my son to bed, I’d keep him up late to run over to our nearest Walmart Will have to try at lunch tomorrow and hope I get lucky.
  12. Oh, I also got my Part Two. Can’t wait to watch it again. Very shiny surface on the steel here, nice, hard to capture in photo.
  13. He’s so amazing that, as someone who grew up a Kentucky basketball fan, I can even forgive him for being a Hoosier (Thankfully he didn’t *play* for Bob Knight and the Hoosiers.). Thanks for the pics, would love to go there. If they don’t have a Bird statue, they should.
  14. This made me laugh: When informed that his film would not be chosen for the Criterion Collection, Pootie just shook his head and said “Sa da tay, my damie, sa da tay.”
  15. Who made that Unforgiven set? I bought the steelbook off eBay last year but would love to get something nicer. Such a great movie.
  16. Man she was gorgeous. Always makes me more likely to watch a movie. I watched Night and the City last week, with her and Richard Widmark. Great movie, but she’s not in it much. Have you seen Laura?
  17. Good point. Wish I’d gotten in on that one but it was before my time. Kind of odd that there aren’t more, seems like the kind of movie that would sell well.
  18. I have to believe there are going to be plenty of premium sets, I’m expecting premium sets with both movies. Looking forward to owning one
  19. I didn’t try it, Amazon tells me my copy is coming on Tuesday. I just clicked on the link out of curiosity. Sorry.
  20. I just followed the Gruv link and it appears to be in stock. Question for folks who already got theirs: is Gruv who you ordered from? Ordered mine from Amazon; they normally get me discs precisely on the release date but never early.
  21. One other note here: this is the only work that makes me think Hillcoat can handle Blood Meridian, and I hope he can find this director in himself again. Caveat: I haven’t seen The Road. The book made me cry when I was childless. As the father of a son these days, I haven’t gotten up the nerve to watch the movie.
