  1. Thanks for looking out for me mate, really appreciate that. 👍🏼 But chuck in shipping to the UK and that’s a bit too rich for my pockets I’m afraid. I love the movie, but I’m not so fussed about weighty wooden boxes personally. A simple FS would be plenty adequate for my simple collection.
  2. PSYCHO CHALLENGE - WEEK 24 "And The OSCAR Goes To...." Thank you @Gary K Great Challenge! So as it goes, I only currently own 3 Academy Award Best Screen Winners, but Green Book is High on my Premium Wish list… 🤞🏼 I have previously owned Rocky, The Silence of the Lambs, Titanic, LotR RotK & The Departed but all on VHS or DVD and they all went when I last moved home. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Next I’ll plump for what I consider to be the Best Animated Feature Award Winner, out of all of them. And I have to give the nod to these two for both both picking up 3 Oscars a piece. It’s only now I am realising just how much I need to upgrade these to a decent level. Missed out on both FAC releases sadly, so hoping for a new release from someone else at some point. As for my deserved winner(s)… 1991 - Goodfellas > Dances with Wolves 1995 - Pulp Fiction > Forrest Gump 2013 - Django > Argo 2017 - Arrival > Moonlight 2020 - 1917 > Parasite. …IMO 🤫
  3. Better get this in before thinking about the latest challenge. Challenge 23 - The Best of the Best Thank you @Fortis93 A bit of a head scratcher if I am honest, as my favourite movies span across various genres. Even in my submission below, you could argue some are Sci-Fi & some are Comic Book. I could throw in here some Fantasy movies such as LotR or Clash of the Titans, but ultimately I Love Monster Movies. It doesn’t particularly matter what the genre is, but I am drawn toward the “Big Bad”. There are also other titles I love and would add in my submission, but sadly I do not own them (Yet) such as Kong Skull Island or Grabbers. So here is a little collection of movies that I like, because of the ‘Monsters’. I certainly wouldn’t put Venom 2 in my favourite movies, but added it in as an example of the draw that a Quality “Big Bad” has for myself. I love Sammael the Hell Hound in Hellboy, or the Kaiju in Pacific Rim. Any Godzilla flick. Ultimately If the Monster is decent, then chances are I will like the movie to some degree.
  4. @extantsrevenge Playing catch up buddy! 👍🏼 Challenge 19 "Through the Decades - a Cinematic Journey" Reason for selecting… The “Wheels” from various decades. Bullitt - 1968 (1968 Mustang GT Fastback & 1968 Dodge Charger) Gone in 60 Secs - 1974 (“Eleanor” 1971 Mustang Sportsroof) Batman - 1989 (1989 Batmobile) The Last Action Hero - 1993 (1956 Ford F-100) Gone in 60 Seconds - 2000 (“Eleanor” 1967 GT500 Shelby) Challenge 20 "Still Missing! Forgotten Treasures! “This week the challenge has 2 parts….” @extantsrevenge Blimey Nils…. What???! I’ve been made to look a fool with stuff like this before when I discover that a Steelbook DOES exist already! 😂 How do you expect me to have such knowledge of all releases Man?!! 😄 I may have to play my “ @R1s1ngs0n “ wildcard here to get me through the challenge… 😂 As far as I am aware, these do not exist in 4K…. Waits for that egg on the face moment 😄 Challenge 21 "Love is in the Air" Nope… Bang goes my “Perfect record” PASS! 😂 Challenge 22 “Adaptation” OK… So not the same Franchise… ie MCU…. In my book these are all separate. I have a shed load more examples like this, but cannot bring myself to destroy the library. But you get the picture…
  5. And I won’t be the first either. 😄 I couldn't really claim that the Superhero genre was my fav anyway when I think that vast majority of DC is pretty bloody awful….. 😁 I was a Marvel fanboy long before the Movies kicked in. Luckily for myself, I find the MCU extremely entertaining and believe that they give a damn good account of themselves. Just my lowly “Kids Movie” opinion of course you understand. I have missed a few of these recently, so will try and get some submissions in tonight whist following the footy. 👍🏼
  6. I saw this for the first time earlier today and was discussing it with fellow brick heads at work 😄 I am currently eyeballing the 90 years of play Lions Castle which comes in at £340, purely because I loved the Castle line as a kid (still have most of it) and Love the fact that they rehashed some classic sets last year (I also have the Galaxy Explorer and exclusive Forest Hideout & Blacktron Cruiser sets). I have also recently gone down the rabbit hole of MOC’s, and I am close to finalising my first real effort. But recently decided I want to have a go at a Fantasy diorama next….. And then THIS set comes along 🫣 I am Sooooooooooo Very Very tempted, but it all depends how long it hangs around for. I won’t pull the trigger in March on release date, but I could very easily circle back around later in the year if it’s still available, especially if I’ve racked up some serious Lego VIP points by then. My guess is that it will sell out pretty quickly though, with those who can afford it investing in multiple editions.
  7. Respect your opinion Mike, but I’m really not sure what your dislike for Eternals has to do with a potential casting choice mate?? 😂👍🏼 Dr. Doom is a Hardcore beloved character of mine, as he is for many the world over. For me personally, Driver isn’t the right guy. Just because he wore a hooded cape and mask in Star Wars, that doesn’t make him the right choice for Doom. Just my opinion of course. TBF, Julian McMahon actually did a bang tidy job of the role previously, but who ever takes the mantle next really needs to take it up a notch in terms of being a bad guy, though again, I’d expect todays CGI etc to add to that.
  8. I don’t care what this dude says in the video above, I am NOT feeling Adam Driver as Doom in any way. Really lazy if you ask me. 🤷🏼‍♂️
  9. Thanks @ShadowWarrior The problem there is that shipping to the UK likely sends the final cost up just as much. I think I’m better off waiting for Zavvi to do something. Knowing my luck I’d get one imported and then see it appear in the UK. I don’t mind when it’s a Premium. Thanks again though. 👍🏼
  10. How cool is this… 😎 And then, How Weird is this?! 😲
  11. Thanks man. Real shame Disney have put a spanner in the works to expanding it. ☹️
  12. Challenge 18 - “Merchandi$ing! Where the Real Money from the Movie is Made” Thanks @Mrdugan for the challenge! Hmmmmm… so I could certainly complete this particular challenge in Lego alone, and in Pops, and again in diecast. Sadly most of my Merch (Especially my diecast) is boxed away safely in the loft, patiently awaiting the day I have a room to display it all properly. Or in terms of Lego, is in bits due to space. Hopefully what I have to hand will satisfy your interest. 😊🤞🏼
  13. I hear that. My “rather like Harrelson” comment was me playing it cool really. I def more than like him and consider him a draw to watch anything if I’m honest. If he wasn’t in this, I most likely wouldn’t have bothered.
  14. Just finished The Man from Toronto (Some Spoiler Alert). Honestly, I’m a little bored with Hart now. Hart & Ice Cube, Hart & The Rock, and now Hart & Harrelson. And yup, his role is exactly what you expect. But, I do rather like Harrelson, so I thought I’d give it a go. Mildly amusing throughout with my biggest laugh coming in the opening credits. Highly predictable of course, and you have to wonder why film writers insist on feeding us lies such as 37yr old Kaley Cuoco getting together with 61yr old Woody Harrelson. Because someone who looks like Kaley Cuoco is obviously single and wants a father figure right?? FFS. Of course Harts wife is Gorgeous (Jasmine Matthews) and he doesn’t deserve her… and we’ve NEVER seen him play that role before! 🙄 Anyway, more than plenty of action. Lots of explosions, plenty of token bad guys (hitmen for hire) and then of course there is “Debora”. A Typically black 69 Charger R/T. Personally, I think I might actually hear a perfectly tuned Hemi barrelling towards me and have the foresight to step out of the way 🤷🏼‍♂️ But that’s just me 😄 Some slightly dodgy CGI and as already expressed, I am sure you can all imagine just what you’ll get with this. It’s not awful, it’s not even poor. It’s just very very predictable. If you like this kind of thing it will tick all of your boxes and even if you don’t necessarily like this kind of thing, it will pass 2hrs without completely robbing you of it. 👍🏼
  15. Left it late this week, not sure where the week has gone tbh. But without further ado… "It Takes Two" Leeloo & Korben Dallas Django & Dr. King Schultz Bobby & Stig Mike & Marcus Don Prudhomme & Tom Mcewen and as a Bonus, courtessy of @Reagh movie club & @Gary K suggestion… the 4 man team (2 teams of 2) of Sorcerer.
  16. Need this, or something very like it to pop up on Zavvi. It’s around triple the price on Evil bay. 😒
  17. Just finished watching Ma Raineys Black Bottom. First up, Wow…what a performance from Chadwick Boseman! Brilliant. Second, What a performance from Viola Davis! Superb, and terrifying! 😄 I also hadn’t realised until the end credits that Denzel Washington played the role of Producer on this. This one is certainly thought provoking. Not at all what I expected in terms of plot scenes either, and it’s a somewhat rare quick watch on a par with a Romcom in duration time (1hr 34mins). Whilst not something you will watch again and again, or credit as a favourite, I would still highly recommend this if anything, just to witness the great talent that we have sadly lost way too early - Chadwick Boseman. He clearly looks gaunt in this and knowing what we do now, it’s mind blowing to think he put in this performance whilst suffering in silence and so close to his passing 🙏🏼
  18. Hi @Gentleman Fantastic collection of Monster Movies there! Probably my favourite genre. I have not yet seen Shadow in the Cloud, but read bad things ☹️ Just wondered what your view is on this, given you are clearly a Big monster movie fan yourself 😊
  19. I really need to watch Spiderverse again. I also loved it and have seen it twice, once on the big screen and once at home when my WeET Collection release landed. But that was a hell of a long time ago now so I feel I need to revisit. Feels like a perfect lazy Sunday watch this weekend actually 😄 I think Majors is about to sky rocket in terms of popularity with Kang. Brilliant actor. Also can’t wait to see Mahershala Ali in Blade! Another firm favourite for me.
  20. Awesome! Just got it Thanks mate 👍🏼
  21. Really expanding my horizons this last week… “Foodie Films”?! Never even considered such a thing. It a Whole New World! 😄👍🏼
  22. I was then thinking that it strikes me that a bunch of you guys seem to go and watch anything, but the subscription totally makes sense! 👌🏼 I’ve never walked out, but I suspect I have only been a small fraction of times compared to the levels a subscription goer has been. I did sit through Daredevil at the cinema, but I also smuggled in a 4-pack so that helped 😂
