The massive retooling Daredevil under went gives a lot of hope. Karen and Foggy are back, and it sounds like D'Onfrio is much happier with the new direction. Apparently Bernthal turned down the offer to return as The Punisher based on the prior direction, but the revamp convinced him to come back, too. Sounds like they have a lot of the Netflix talent back on board this time around... makes you wonder why they weren't smart enough to do that the first time around, though. Hopefully that's a big lesson learned for moving forward. I am definitely curious to see what they do with the Avengers flicks now, post-Jonathan Majors conviction. It's an easy role to recast given the very nature of the Kang character, so it strikes me as odd that they'd want to move away from their original plans. I'm still hoping for a Secret Wars flick with Toby and Andrew's Spider-men alongside Holland and Jackman's Wolverine and some 20th Century Fox X-Men someway, somehow. Guess we'll find out in a few years.

Well, if the trailer is anything to go by, it looks like they certainly managed to capture the tone of the videogame.

I feel like I'm a smidge more optimistic about this, but only just. I hope Fiege can turn things around and get the MCU back on-track and focus on quality over quantity. Going back to two or three good films and shows a year is far more exciting to me than five+ subpar projects a year. I'm excited as hell for Deadpool 3, and it's been a long time since I could say that about a Marvel movie. I bought The Marvels disc, just to have it in the collection, but have yet to muster up the enthusiasm to actually watch it. It took me quite a while to watch Ant-Man 3 and Guardians of the Galaxy 3, just because I was so fatigued on Marvel stuff. Ditto all the Disney+ Star Wars stuff, too. I spent years and years and years eating well on this stuff, but now I just feel stuffed and bloated and have no appetite for it anymore. (That said, I did recently rewatch Infinity War and Endgame just to have on while working out, and damn, those have held up nicely and blow the current crop of movies waaay out of the water it's ridiculous.) Deadpool 3 and Fantastic Four have piqued my curiosity for sure, but the latter could go the other way depending on what they do with it and how they do it. Otherwise, it's just been too much to keep up with it for me and these projects haven't felt like they're even meeting me even halfway when I finally muster up the effort to give it a go.

It’s crazy. They bought the studio just to eliminate them as a competitor, and have completely ignored the massive film library that they could be exploiting like mad (unless it was Star Wars). Hell, they even ignore their own studios libraries. How the heck do we not even have Tombstone yet, let alone Fox titles like Fight Club, Master and Commander, the rest of the Die Hard movies, etc etc etc. Such a damn shame. Hopefully Sony can help right this ship.

The last point especially! DB100s and proper sound mixes are must-haves. Death to the subdued atmouse tracks!

Hopefully this means we can finally get more Disney movies with Dolby Vision. I wonder, too, who will be responsible for picking what gets released now, and if we'll start seeing an influx of discs for all those Fox movies Disney has been sitting on.

Season 3 was fantastic! Incredible piece of fan service, and an incredible send off for the TNG crew. If we never see these characters again, they got the finale they deserved and were denied on the big-screen. I need to give this a rewatch on disc soon… 😅

Sadly, no. All three seasons of Picard are Blu-ray only, not 4K. There was a push to try and get Paramount to release season 3 in 4K, but it has yet to happen. Maybe one day…

Looking good, @Dan.A! I love the coloring on the exterior panels, and that's a great image choice for the interior. This is going to be an awesome edition to add to the collection.

I wish Universal’d had the balls to James Cameron it and call it TWISTER$. I also hope we get a 4K disc release this year.

I didn’t get the Kevin Smith thing, either, since I haven’t watched Clerks 3 yet. That said, I’d love to see DOGMA finally be able to get its due with a stacked 4K release. I’d love to see what Arrow or Vinegar Syndrome could do with this film. It’s a damn shame it’s stuck languishing in Weinstein’s vault.

Seriously. Reminds of when the cast all dropped out of Scream 7 and the director was like, “yeah, no, it’s cool, we’re retooling.” And then the next day he bailed. 😂
