Walmart link is back up and with a much more palatable price of $34.96. Nearly $20 lower than yesterday's pre-order.

It’s the suggested retail price set by the studio. They’ll discount it eventually but I don’t know how long it’ll take. and it looks like Walmart has taken the listing down, so who knows what they’re doing now. 😂

Especially since Walmart apparently does not automatically adjust customer orders to reflect the new prices. So, if you order it now at $55 and it goes down to $30, you’re stuck at the $55 price. Buyer beware!

Like Ghostbusters, I'm guessing the price will drop considerably. But if $55 is expected to be the new norm, we may as well just wait for the premium edition. I'm already debating just waiting for the Manta Lab set as it is, and the current price tag is really helping to solidify that decision.

I'm so far behind on Star Wars shows, but this looks like a nice break from current continuity. Plus, Carrie-Anne Moss is rocking it as a Jedi! Gonna have to check this one out.

I cancelled Paramount+ after SNW wrapped up season 2 and am not in any rush to return. I like Strange New Worlds, but can easily wait for the disc release. Ditto Discovery in its final season. And Starfleet Academy is definitely not any kind of a lure to draw me back to a monthly sub... unlike Star Trek Legacy, which I would happily spring for given how strong Picard Season 3 was. TLDR: I'll wait for the discs.
