  1. Good afternoon!! I hope you've been good kids and rushed to the cinema to see a StarWars re-release, as the canons dictate, or as the force demands. Enjoy it, feel it. Most films and sagas today will not have that impact almost 50 years after their first film. There are great sagas, and then there is this one. Have a nice weekend!
  2. Good afternoon everyone. Today I went to see the re-release of "Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace". It was great to see it on a giant screen, with thunderous sound, very different from the cinema where I saw it on its premiere 25 years ago. As for the film, it seems to me an underrated film. One day, justice will have to be done to Lucas. There is more true Star Wars in it than in the whole of the third trilogy. Without Lucas it's not Star Wars, it's a spin-off; the force ends up being just another vulgar superpower. That last shot in which Yoda and Mace Windu doubt whether they have destroyed the (Sith) master or the apprentice, just before the camera - naughty, but solemn - shows us a shot of Palpatine. It's gold. Have a good weekend, everyone!
  3. Rescued by the Psychos! It would be an even greater honour than if the Avengers came to our rescue! Still, your's is a good question. And I wouldn't know how to answer it. I'm fond of Wilson, but I don't want to be kicked or thrown into the sea by @Fortis93 on a bad day. But hey, since we've expanded the ship now, you can start assigning characters:
  4. Let's see, I'm a flexible guy, and the important thing here is that things go well. If necessary, and if you want more passengers, instead of a canoe we'll rent a boat. And we all go together. PS: @Fortis93, you have already made the space to replace the faces. 🤣🤣🤣
  5. I fully agree. And in commercial terms, feedback is very important, both good and bad. The worst thing is indifference. Or not seeing where the market is going. In the end it is about selling as much as possible. No more, no less.
  6. Good morning. Reading some comments in another thread that you already know, I had a metaphysical doubt: Is it right or wrong -positive/negative- to criticize a release, a design, or the features of an edition? I mean, we all love this community, and there are issues that are "relevant" to this community, and everyone, in their own way, tries to support them. Good for the community is good for everyone, and we usually talk about really beautiful things. But, at the same time, sometimes I miss a little bit of disagreement. Of discussion. Because we are human beings and discussions are where great empires are born, and great threads. They give life to everything. Discussions energise communities. If there aren't several points of view, everything withers a little. The fact that some people have said that they don't think something is nice, and that this is new, unusual, has caught my attention. I'm one of those who think that criticism - done with respect - is not only good but necessary. Both when I agre with it and when I disagre with it. This is my thought for today. Now, let's get on with the work.
  7. Hey, dude, we have been talking about you I have a business proposition for you. You know those movies about a guy who crosses the ocean by himself? And Oliver Stone's Savages? Yeah, mix it with The Lord of the War, we don't have as much charm as Nicholas Cage but we're good guys. But will also add a bit of Bad Boys. In case we have to give a slap in the face. And now think about becoming a living legend. The Australian who blew up international trade!!! What could go wrong? It's a perfect plan. Send me the location, as soon as I buy the canoe I'm going to use Google Maps, lest I get disoriented and discover America. We know a lot about that here.
  8. Good morning. Even if you thought it was impossible.... it's unbelieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevable!!!!! it's Friday once again!!! The best day of the week for many. For me only after work. I'll stay in Thursday Plus until then And I wonder what Mr Lynch is doing to remain so silent. It's already too long without knowing what the weather is like in L.A. Some of us are anxious because of the wait.
  9. - No, Mr. Agent, nothing illegal, man. Can't you see they are films? This is of no interest to anyone, man, it's not smuggling, we're... recovering garbage dumped in the sea.... that's it!!! Rubbish dumped in the sea. We are from Green-4K, an NGO. We're trying to save the sea, so the fish don't eat a full slip. And the guys in the van, with the face of moderators..., are employees of the recycling company that with all these editions is going to make cat food. Give me your cat's address, and next week we'll send you a can. Because your police station would agree that the seas must be saved, wouldn't they?
  10. Welcome to the team! One day Scorsese will make a film about us.
  11. That would be very big: a canoe with two Psychos moving premiums from one country to another. Eventually we would end up with a boat dropping the packages on the beach for the moderators to pick them up with a van. UHD Club Wood with black case loading: "BS or silver', they'll end up saying to someone we all know. @Veum welcoming us into his home: @Fortis93 waving before returning home: No, come on, our story in the USA would be more like a road movie, a cross between "Lethal Weapon", "Easy Rider", "The Cannonball Run", and some others that I won't name.
  12. Maybe. But don't worry, we've got it all planned, we're going to take "Media Psychos" floats, and even if it takes a while, we'll get to the coast of the USA without any problems. In fact, we've already thought about what we're going to rent to go from the coast inland: All is planned. Don't worry!
  13. Yeah!! This is the 1st trailer of our adventure! Around 34 days from my home to Syndey, and then, it's easy, it's downhill. And there will be two of us rowing from Syndey to the coast of the USA. That's going to be good for going uphill.
  14. If one day there is a Psychos meeting, I'll rent a canoe, go to Syndey to pick up @Fortis93, and we'll head for the USA. 🤘
  15. If my comment has motivated or inspired you to do something that has made your day better, I've already won heaven today. I've listened to some of his music on Youtube, but I'm not an expert. Still, now I'm curious and I have it playing in the background right now. Good suggestion! Thank you. It's funny, because since I was a kid it was an intriguing and frequent name for me, because I always liked Jean-Michel Jarre's music, a completely different genre, I have all his records, and in all the record shops they had the records of both of them mixed together. Yes, from when we used to go to the record shops to buy the records. 😍
  16. Probably. In fact, it is possible that after this experience I will repeat. But only with artists that I really like, and that the experience gives me an added value. Something special. Maybe like what you say.
  17. That cassette. So nice, so linked with the film. An impressive edition. And so great movie. Must have!
  18. Good morning/afternoon!!!
  19. Good morning/afternoon, dear Psychos. I went to the cinema to see "Opus", Ryuichi Sakamoto's posthumous concert. I never go to the cinema to see concerts, maybe I'm a bit of an old school man, but I always prefer the real live performance, face to face, or if not, to see it at home. Besides, let's not fool ourselves, many of the live concerts here in cinemas are for a type of artists or music that doesn't motivate me that much either. After several years of trying to survive the cancer, in his last days, when he was still able to play, but everything was fading away, he went to a studio and played some of his best pieces, just him and a grand piano, nothing else, nobody else. His last time before he was no longer able. This session, which is more session than concert, and more spark than session, was recorded in black and white by a small crew directed by his son. There are no words, except for a little unique moment when he complains that he finds it hard to make that effort...., and asks to repeat something; there is no applause, no commentary. Just him, his piano, and a lamp. The rest, darkness, delicious music played for the last time, resounding just as his gestures resounded at the end of each piece; when he finished the last one. I have never heard -nor felt- such silence in a theatre. From the beginning. No one moved, no one spoke, no one moved, no one ate. As if any intrusion could break the moment. I loved it. Although it requires a calmness that not everyone is willing to offer nowadays. At the end, in absolute silence, almost everyone remained seated. For a moment. Then, little by little, we began to get up, and without making a sound, without speaking, all the spectators disappeared through the door.
  20. My opinion: I never avoid to watch a film because it makes jokes about another culture, or about my culture and my people. People should distinguish between an official statement, or a personal confession, and .... what is humour. They are different things. It is necessary to distinguish when we are serious and when we are joking. Just as we must distinguish a film from the personal opinions - political or social - of the director. They are not the same thing, no. As far as I'm concerned, let them make jokes about whatever they want. Any subject, any place. Any flag. All I ask is that they're witty, funny, not the usual easy joke that isn't funny, only vulgar. That's why I love Ricky Gervais. In fact, I loved his speach the last time he was the host of the Golden Globes celebration. The joke about Jeffrey Epstein, and the true under the joke, those faces... can't be paid. And thats the fact why he will never be invited to repeat, or host the Oscars. A pity.
  21. Well, .... I am from Spain... and a girl never said that to me.... is it because it's actually the French and ITALIAN accent? Yeah, she sure didn't tell me she thought I was sexy because of that... sure...
  22. addiction? So this is an addiction? 🤨 Are the others right that cramming a room with nice collector's editions is not normal? I don't think so. In fact, I think they have a problem, and it's called ‘Lack of sensitivity to art’. We are simply the last romantic guys on earth. No more.
  23. OK, I understand, it's his obligation, and he has to do it. If we give him food, and a place to sleep, and thanks to us he is no longer disoriented in the street, it's not for him to be lazy. OK, I understand that. Of course. In fact, if he never posts BS, should @extantsrevenge be able to celebrate labor day today? Or will he have to wait for bum day? That's the question.
  24. Good morning! I hope you have a happy 1st of May, and that you can spend the day doing whatever you like. In my case, I am seriously thinking of watching this wonderful film today, it's about a nice quiet day off: Why the hell has it never had a real collector's edition? Sometimes we are bombarded with two hundred editions of the same film, and none of the rest. And they'll be surprised to lose the market. 🤘
  25. Good morning!!!! Today is ‘Workers' Day’ in Spain, as well as in other countries, and that means that... it's a public holiday! The pity is that after days of heat and beach, it is now raining and cold. It's this crazy world. But on a positive note, I have to say that the plan for this evening is also appetizing: (good) film and blanket. Have a nice day everyone.
