Have to jump on this - I own the wailing, the one with the spelling mistake saying Ditrector or something like that instead of director. Anyway, brilliant release, shame about the glue on the card. But I'm sure the Parasite one someone else mentioned was Plain Archive. Anyway, jumping on this, need more solid Korean films as premiums. Hoping for: Thirst Tale of Two Sisters Vengeance Trilogy Mother The Gangster the Cop the Devil Burning JSA (missed Nova's release) Another version of I Saw the Devil (got Plain Archives) Another version of the Handmaiden (got Plain Archives) And of course, all the Vengeance Trilogy

EDIT: People really are confusing what's happening here. This lenticular is to align with the ORIGINAL John Wick Lenticular releases, back when O-Rings were done quite a lot for a premium release (glad that died off and the current HDZeta and Manta is the norm now). In regards to no 4K... So? Just buy a seperate cheaper 4K disc, it's not like we watch these anyway. Besides, just like the other films, they will release the more typical premium 4K's, just wait for those.

Ooft. So happy I double dipped with NovaMedia. This is by far, and purely because Manta doesn't really have any bad releases, if some just lacking in comparison, the worst release from Manta. From the steelbook to art choice on each slip, this is bad. The NovaMedia lenti is incredible, this whole bundle is, unbelievably, such a hard pass. A rare deep stumble from Manta.

Ooft, can't wait! Need this in lenticular to complete the quadrilogy. Their original lenti's for these films are the best they've released in my opinion. Just watched this last night and it was incredible (although I did zone out a bit from all the action and how long it was, in some aspects I think the first two are better, they're more restrained), but some of the new actions sequences are insane, what a way to go out!

The Batman (Manta Lab Exclusive #CP000) (WEA Steelbook) [Hong Kong]
Garypool replied to ShadowWarrior's topic in Manta Lab
Just requested two. I like this idea, seems like it will be their artistic side coming out. Always good to have more of a selection I think! -
I hope we do. I still feel a little hard done by mp's selection process for gold last year, I noticed some got gold/silver based on engagement, so no idea how that selection process worked for eligibility when quite a few various members got it with less longevity of being a member and overall less engagement than myself. But I will try to let that bitterness go and let it come up again when it is the case that no editions will be available 🥲

Hmm... I'll see your Don't like it? Don't buy it and I'll raise you: Don't like it? Buy it!

How's it not constructive? I think you've completely made a mountain of a mole hill here. There's a distinct difference between one person making several posts stating their negative view and many people making one post about how they don't think it's that great. So the constructive input here is that for many people they don't feel the release is great. So if John does see it, well he can think unfortunately that's all the art I had access to, and fair enough. In that case the finish will be as great as they always are. I'm sure John is open to feedback, I've seen on Facebook him asking questions regarding extra merch. I haven't really seen people complaining about the nature of joining the GB and not knowing that they've committed to the release. I'm still getting the FS, I'm certain the finish will make the full slip a good addition. But don't misconstrue customer feedback with whatever it is you think we're doing. And that's all I'll say now.

My post didn't really come as tongue in-cheek-as I meant it, I know exactly how to message John/Manta - just expressing disappointment of the release, along with praising them as one of my favourite companies for steel books. Calm it down though, mate, as far as I'm aware there's no restriction on voicing an opinion, or I missed the thread where it explains we can only be positive? Besides, I mostly have nothing but praise for the work they do. Exactly, you're right Basil I won't buy the extras, just going for the Full Slip. I'm well aware of my personal capability to pick and choose what not to buy, but thanks for the heads up, I'm sure I forgot that...

If anyone is in a position to directly tell John from Manta, could you please remind him that we collect steel books and to focus on steel books. Manta has the best editions, next to Plain Archive. Anyone who is a collector will jump on their releases because of the quality, they sell out out in less than minutes. We don't need bad gimmicks attached to releases, just need focus on good designs. Ball was dropped on this release. Full Slip, as usual, is best of the bunch, but even then not incredible.
