This and That (Where Great Conversations Are Happening)
Mdk14092 replied to Masterblaster's topic in English
@ukade2327 did you also spring for the Dolby atoms speakers? If so is it worth it? I've been thinking of upgrading my receiver to one with a higher rate HDMI pass through and Atmos support having just gotten a 4k 3d tv my self a few months ago. The top firing small Atoms add on speakers arn't too terribly experiensive. -
Is "spot uv printing" glow in the dark? Or is it just a different phrase for spot glossing?

@basil for driving I could just renew by mail but for flying even within the states, starting in October you need a passport or an enhanced license. So I gotta pay more and dig out my birth certificate. -

@Basil my plans are just as mundane. I gotta renew my license and get an enhanced one because I now need one to fly within my own damn country because apparently being born and raised in the U.S. isn't enough. And are they gonna quit the taking off the shoes bullshit now that people need better i.d.? NO! Of course not that'd make sense. Then I gotta rearrange some steels to make room for new ones. Probably post a couple on eBay, then sendan invoice payment reminder to a buyer. On a funner note I'll probably buy the Monster Hunters iceborn expansion. May also Finaly rent/watch Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. -
Just watched ep.1 Dracula on Netflix this night. Thanks for the recommendation @Scary Hair. Last night I finished the last episode of season 1 Netflix the witcher. Having played the game I think they did a good all around job. Solid acting, good production in terms of effects, and the plots stayed interesting so far. If you like the fantasy genre or enjoyed the game check it out.

favorite premium release - First Man. Although I never saw the movie and was to late to the party to participate I very much appreciate the very unique and cool one-click packageing. It's exactly why I started collecting premium editions of movies. most disappointing - HDZETA Batman 1-4. I just wish it had gotten a bit more love to distinguish it self from other retailers versions. favorite movie experience- Aquaman. I rarely go to the theater anymore but I'm glad I did for this one. most disappointing - avengers infinity war. When Thanos laid out exactly what was gonna happen and then at the end snapped his fingers and he was totally right. I was like "well F@#$# you Thanos, thanks for the spoiler". Also star Lords character was acting like a giant prick. I still haven't watched End Game because I'm still upset lol. best GB experience - John wick 3 because I love the movie, and it was my first received GB, and my first one click all in one! worst GB experience - I guess Alien 1 just due to odd delays from FA. Not upset or anything. favorite threads - this and that general. what I'd like to see in 2020- just more of the same awsomeness! Raffles, secret Santas black Friday specials. I hate to suggest more because I'm amazed ya'll do this stuff as it is. So huge thank you to all!

Excuse my ignorance but do all Digipaks have the little books on the inside attached to the cover? And do they typically come with the extras or just the booklet attached to the cover? Oh, and digging the slip design, can't wait to see the rest of the packaging!

Thanks for the answer @Scary Hair . Figured they have # associated, But they don't really tell you what yours is. Given how things sell out on their sight and how recently I made a film arena account I was surprised that my "I want to buys" were being fullfilled. I guess my main question is if I cancel a buy is it a big inconvenience to them and will hurt my rep for future pre-order? -

I have a question about Filmarena. How does their system work. I noticed that they have some sort of loyalty thing. Also the few items I've clicked "I want to buy" on I've received. But nothing's really explained. Does it work sort of like MP? -

@RAK what doesa loose reboot mean? A sequel that lays things out better. Also I hadn't heard anything about Wonder Woman, I'll have to look that up -

Joker movie question. The fact that some of DC's characters arn't "locked down" has been a source of aggravatiion for me trying to complete a coherent collection. Wonder Woman and Aquaman and JL are fine but Joker and Batman... Holy hell. Every few years it's a totally new Batman or Joker. Not to mention they've said they're all ready redoing suicide squad. (Why I'm not getting the HDZETA current one) Is this Joker move a stand alone or is this a New direction they're taking Batman in? -
Can't wait to see what you came up with.

Happy leftovers day! And definitely thank you @Masterblaster . It's very cool that you all put these kinds of things together. If I knew how to do gifs. I'd put one here. -
Although last night was just video games while streaming old Archer episodes, the night before last I watched T2 in 3d for the first time and I gotta say they did a pretty darn good job with the conversion. Better than with Jurassic Park I think. I'll have to rewatch JP in 3d again next to compare.

Had a quick question about novamedia. I recently purchased three movies with white full slips, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and John wick. On all three slips they seem to be made out of some sort of white plastic, does Novamedia always do this for white slip?
