Exactly. I classify all the KimchiDVD releases as WeET. Same as Blufans and Fanatic Selection

But yeah...to get a WeET Doctor Strange OC boxset would be epic!

Cannot wait to add this to the collection!! And with Filmarena dropping one, too...just need Blufans to hit the Quantum Realm so they can go back in time and squeak theirs out before losing their Disney license. 

I love having the trinity of each film! 😎

For the "Sample search" url 2-posts above this (sorcery), I started at images.google.com and dragged/dropped the image with the Korean lettering, then clicked "all sizes". Then I copied the url for the "Sample search". Google typed "dvd black widow" in the search box -- I did not type anything in the search box.

 

When I was looking for the image the first time for page 1 of this thread, I either started by typing in the search box or dragging/dropping the beauty shot into images.google.com, and I found a small picture with the Korean lettering under the title, and used that image to search for larger sizes. 

 

Searching has gotten harder:

• The online sites that I used to use to remove the background from a beauty shot are too aggressive. I used to trim around the front cover then drag/drop it into an online background removers. 2 months ago they got more aggressive and now remove everything but the human on the cover. I can't find one that will just cut away the neutral background around a front cover. On beauty shots the dark front covers and a dark background, even the old background removers failed to distinguish slight shades of black. Black Widow's beauty shot has that issue. So I was stuck with trying to find the front cover with the Korean text . I don't always find what I need.
• When you right click on an image you like, to find larger sizes, google just replaced "search by image" with "search image with google lens". When you get to the results, you can then "Retry with google images". It's an extra step.

 

Thanks for explaining! And the reason I ask in the first place is because I always search for the best resolution art for my collection spreadsheet. I end up trimming them manually because it's just more precise than using a magic wand tool and I'm freakishly OCD. Lol

Here are some examples:

They're all PNG and maintain the transparent background when adding to other programs or spreadsheets. I have an imigur with every MCU release to this point.

Hello, so here are the pics of the "Black Widow Nova Amaray O-Ring Slip Version".

first my conclusion:

if you're not afraid of buying an "O-ring slip" which just fits for an Amaray case, then you'll get a - in my opinion - superb slip with glossy effects, embossed titles and character silhouette with many details on front AND back cover. On top 6 character cards inside the Amaray case. Okay, its not a steelbook but...a very very good slip for an Amaray.

And this actually the exact edition I wanted to see from other releases. All the Ant-Man versions look amazing. Is there a place that still sells all these? They don't seem to be on eBay much at all.

just opened the package and Black Widow Amaray look snice, but it is only a O-ring version.

So if someone expected this slip to use with/for a steelbook...forget it. Too small.

For me its okay because but only the price for the slip....hm..I dont know...perhaps decide for yourself. I have a web meeting soon. After that I'll post some images for you.

Thanks for the update, buddy. I figured it would be a less quality slip than the steelbook version. But I couldn't tell by stock images to what degree. I look forward to your photos! I'm trying to decide if my backlog consists of all the versions or just the steelbook Full Slip. Black Widow was my first from SM Life and I was impressed so now I want to go back and pick up the others. But as a collector, I have to figure out if the other slips are nice enough to warrant being part of my "premium" collection.

Does anyone else have some of these others? Are they just like standard slips you'd find at Best Buy?

Me either which is the dilemma. Lol. It can be done tho and is a fairly easy arts & crafts project for someone that knows how to work with the necessary materials.

"bad" for us but better for his freetime.

 

The rest are custom Steelbook magnets which I bought on ebay.

SM Life is a media/publishing company and making movie editions is only a small part of their business. They are distributed by Kimchi, Nova and others. No, their slips are not numbered, but I think they are pretty nice, and are usually lightly embossed. I think of their editions as "high end" mass market, like ToC and Zavvi Exclusive releases for example.

Thanks for the info! I'll get this Black Widow release but I'm not a fan at all of their previous Marvel releases. They seem akin to "Target exclusives" to me. 

So what's the deal with SMLife? Are they under KimchiDVD? Do they release "numbered" slips? Are their "Full Slips" the same as other premium Full Slips?

I never sprung for their releases because they seem generic and not necessary to add to my collection to fulfill all "steelbook and premium" releases. Plus, they always had that ugly 4K banner tattooed on the box art instead of it just being part of the wrapper/J-card.
