There is a printing error to the back of the fullslip and MLIFE will be making a replacement for all orders.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
What is the error?

MARTIN: Yeah. The director made "The Blue Kite," back in '93, right afterwards, which is a similar way into that society a very interesting way, where he shows you the microcosm and you get the whole macrocosm from it. Unfortunately since then he hasn't been making pictures in mainland China.
That reminds me: The Blue Kite would make an excellent choice for a future WCL/MLIFE release....

I couldn’t find the complete video on YouTube, sadly, but here’s a transcript:

I knew the name of this movie was familiar, and I finally figured it out!
Circa 2000, Martin Scorsese picked it as his #1 movie of the 1990s in a special “Best of the Decade” episode with Roger Ebert. That’s a good enough recommendation for me!

Hey @DarthEd, are you still on the Blu-ray.com Forum?
In the "Anime" section a guy named Dailyan is selling the Gatchaman complete collection for $70usd. I personally don't know if that's a good price or not.
Yep, still a regular there. $70 seems too high for me. It was like $56 on Amazon less than a month ago. If it’s OOP forever, that might be a good price, but I’ll take my chances and hope it restocks. Thanks for keeping a look out for me though!

I wish these were Region A...

Amazon.com has various anime Blu-rays on sale today, most at all-time lowest prices according to CamelCamelCamel.
I picked up Samurai Champloo: The Complete Series, The Boy and the Beast, The Girl Who Leaped Through Time, and Summer Wars. I'd been eyeing the Hosada Collector's Editions of the latter three for almost a year, but those are much higher in price and I couldn't pass on these prices.

Hi, @Grendel, @extantsrevenge, @Hatori!
Amazon had The Big O: Complete Collection [Blu-ray] on sale for $32 circa Cyber Monday, so I snatched that. I've always liked that series. I have always had a soft place in my heart for stories about people piloting giant robots and fighting kaiju.
I'm regretting not pulling the trigger on Gatchaman: The Complete Collection. It's now sold out at from Amazon's warehouses and going for significantly higher prices everywhere else. Guess I'll have to wait and hope the prices drop again.

I haven't seen it either, @Grendel. Sorry!

Well, the picture looks super-cool, @Grendel, but I can understand your disappointment!

I'd still like to see awards for Nova Media and Plain Archive. Thanks!

Beautiful!
Is only a single disc is included? That's all I see in the pics for the full slip edition. Is it 4k UHD or Blu-ray? I would presume it's UHD since this is the UHD Club, but the pic of the disc appears to show the Blu-ray logo, so I'm confused.
Any ballpark price on this GB (not including shipping)?

@DarthEd I hope that helps you with this award.
Yes, thank you! Now I just need to find the time to photograph them all. Cheers!

Check out the OP for the complete rules. Almost everything is allowed for this award, aside from regular Amaray releases.
That's what I'm asking about... Amaray are regular Blu-ray cases?
What if they are 3D or have O-ring slips (but still just Amaray)?
-
I think I am in the minority in preferring the original Fullmetal Alchemist over Brotherhood....
-
Non-premium common editions OK for getting this award? I don't have steelbooks or other premium editions for some of the older MCU films.....

Also @DarthEd, If you are looking for a Premium Edition of "Ninja Scroll" both Kimchi and Nova have the best ones available (A Full Slip with an accompanying book and a Lenti Slip without the book) but note: both sites refer to it as "Wind Ninja" for some reason, so type that into their search bar..
Zavvi also gets in a Steel for it (called Ninja Scroll) on occasion (for cheap!) which I also grabbed, it sells out fast but I've seen it come back in stock 3 times!
Is the Zavvi edition Region B? Most every anime Zavvi releases is usually locked to Region B, and I need Region A. I've seen the Wind Ninja edition on Nova... The title being "wrong" turned me off, honestly. I could be persuaded by some sweet pics though....

I have Ninja Scroll on DVD. It was one of the first anime I ever bought on DVD! I should pick up a nice Blu-ray edition someday. Same goes for Samurai Champloo, one of my favorite series.
I've never seen Fist of the North Star. Is it good, @Grendel? I remember reading a few issues of the manga when it was first published in English by Viz....

Plain Archive isn't loading for me right now for some reason but if it's any consolation I'm pretty sure all versions are still in stock on their site last time I checked. You could easily go pick up type B if it's still in stock! Or if it's not, try e(vil)Bay It's not sold out so some people have to be selling at cost if not close to it!
No thanks. Not willing to double dip on this, so I'd then have to sell my Type A for what a Type B would cost me, which seems highly unlikely, especially when factoring in shipping and GB overhead. I'm too lazy to sell stuff anyway. I'd rather just complain on the Internet.

Huh?! Mondo art? Where?
Yeah, Type B is from a Mondo print. Argh, I wish somebody had mentioned this fact when the designs were unveiled. I picked A, of course.

Thank you, @Grendel, for the information on the Gatchman Collection. If you get it or come across any in-depth reviews, let me know.
Have you seen any of the versions (Battle of the Planets, G-Force, or Gatchaman)?
So... Funny story (I hope): I finally got the Osamu Tezuka's Metropolis steelbook in the mail from Amazon. It was left out in the rain overnight, but, fortunately, Amazon shipped it in a plastic padded envelope that was sealed very well. After extracting it from the padded envelope, it appeared to me that there was mold underneath the O-ring plastic slip! I've heard of mold getting in transoceanic shipping containers, but I'd never seen it myself. Or did it get moldy from being in the rain overnight? Anyway I remove the shrinkwrap, expecting to have to clean the steelbook and plastic slip, and I discover that it's not mold! Just some weird painting effect on the steelbook. There are splotches of paint on the steelbook and on the inside of the O-ring slip. I think it's intentionally designed that way, but it really looked like spots of mold to me! I was happy to be wrong about that.

That’s not true though. At least in the USA, which is what I asked about, insurance has nothing to do with the size and weight of the package. It’s based on how much the sender decides to insure the package for.
