Ist natürlich immer eine subjektive Sache, aber das ist meine Meinung zu film. Wenn man auf so "Whodunit" Filme steht, in denen Schauspiel und Dialoge im Vordergrund stehen und nicht so sehr action und krachbum, kann man an diesem Film Spaß haben. Aber muss sich jeder eine eigene Meinung bilden - ich finde der Trailer gibt die Grundstimmung und Idee des Films ganz gut wieder - also wer da schon zweifel hat, wird mit dem ganzen Film wahrscheinlich wenig freude habe:

Oh yeah, most definately. That's another point. If you feel like someone did everything possible to make an edition new and special (and as it was never done before), it's hard to top that. I'd say, there are certain companies, where I'm sure that they could (and MantaLab is a candidate and sometimes does!) pull of something that no one has done before with just that movie. But with titles like Kill Bill that's hard. We already have the red and yellow ones, the Katana and the kill-list (in different variations), the black ones with Thurman wearing yellow or black, the Bride look in different poses, and then Nova ocmes along with their crazy ass new sepia paper covers, their absolute incredible 3D Lenticulars (with classic motives) and their "normal" full slips with great new artwork and finish. Not to mention the snake-skin structured boxsets and all the extras (including the rubber snake) - I am so in love with these releases. Don't see MantaLab topping these; but let's see! Even though it might seem that I am against it, I am not and even more: I am open to be surprised :) .oO( And to be quite honest, I think I'll still get them anyways - my poor bank account :( ).

@Cornbuster Yeah, that's the everlasting problem between someone getting in new to the hobby (or leaving out certain countries, or concentrating just on one label, etc.), and the long-term "international" collector. I am of course happy for all those who did not get any of the previous releases. Then again, the more editions there are, the better you can get them. For instance, I just did an eBay search on Kill Bill. These are the offers: - Kill Bill Vol. 2, Nova B: $49.99 - Kill Bill Vol. 2, Nova A: $84.00 - Kill Bill Vol. 2, Nova Lenticular: $52.00 - Kill Bill Vol. 2, Nova Keepcase: $35.79 <-- I didn't even know, these existed?! - Kill Bill Vol. 1+2, Nova Keepcase: $65.99 - Kill Bill Vol. 2, Nova Oneclick: $290 - Kill Bill Premium DVD Box Japan Vol. 1+2: $137.77 There is much more, I just sorted by price - but you'll see, these are still pretty affordable, and not too hard to get - If you are looking for something specific and do a more specific search, I'll guess you'd even find more and better offers. Especially if you can wait and monitor the market a bit. Again, I am not totally against it, I can see this point as well - and in the past I used to be happy, for example, when Filmarena did something I didn't have, even though couple of other companies already did it. Or, for instance, my holy grail film is "Ex Machina" - and I was - and still am - on the hunt for the Filmarena release. But same time I was excited, when Manta announced this movie - I got the one click, I've got the Mondo X Steelbook, plus the two international Steelbooks as well. And I'd still be celebrating if yet someone else does one - but to an certain extend, this also incorporates that there is something new and different that you can still do with that movie. I don't see that happening for movies, such as Kill Bill. So I am, naturally, a bit disappointed by these announcements - I'd rather have annoucements with movies that I really wanted to hit the market in a premium edition that haven't been announced yet. E.g. The Shining (FAC), or Jaws (FAC), Blade Runner (ML), etc. And I am even still fine with movies that did get a premium treatment, but just once, such as Dunkirik, or Her. But titles like Drive or Kill Bill... But again, that's just me, and I am happy for anyone that is actually excited by this announcement. I just wish that I'd be happier about it, I guess - I don't want to miss out on happy feelings

Hey you guys, So, first to the "problem": It could be that he collected all items together, I don't know. For us German customers he normally sends them out parcel by parcel - but he does take his time, sometimes. But I guess it's because he is all alone, and I am not one of those customers who is asking all the time. Best to contact him, but as I said, I am also happy to do that for you as well. He's sometimes faster answering in Facebook than he is in E-Mail. Btw. @Veum did you check on the website as well? Sometimes I don't get a mail that it was sent. Regarding DHL - well it's the German service, we don't have much else here. We used to have Deutsche Post, which did all the parcels and mail but then they split, and became the Deutsche Post DHL Group, with Deutsche Post doing only all the mail, and DHL all the parcels. DHL has since (in my eyes) lost in reliability - parcels in Germany are often broken, and they even lost a couple of mine. So I'm not too happy either. But other services here are sparse and mostly more inconvenient (e.g. we have Hermes and GLS, but those only have few spots where you can send and pick up stuff, so if I get something from them, and I'll need to pick it up, I'll be driving half accross town for an hour), and I don't even know if they work internationally. I am not sure how Daniel does the declaration, but again - it's always easy to talk to him, maybe he can do something about it. First reaction reading this: Oh no! You didn't order the second one of these? Probably too late. So while reading I opened a new browser window and did a search (currently it's only on Amazon as well as Media Markt!!! all the other shops are sold out). But then I remember that I actually mentioned you and looking into that post, let me quote yourself: You already got your Vol. 2. As for Vol. 3, there is no info out yet, but of course I will do my usual chatty thread once it get's announced, and I will for sure put a mention in for you, so you won't miss it!

From when was the order? And what titles did you order? (just asking to know if there where any preorder titles that came later). In general, he's a bit slow, sometimes, so it might take a while (I know he was in holiday for a while, and my It! release just arrived yesterday, but release date was 25th of May). But I can also convey a message for you, to him, if you want. Or you just try to contact him directly, either via mail, or via Facebook. Maybe he has already send it out and has a tracking number?

PS: If you've ordered this, and your edition arrived, I'd like to hear what you think. Do you like it, or hate it? Do you think you got your money's worth? Will you go on collecting these? As far as I know only @Grendel said he'd ordered one - but maybe there are more of you who ordered one but did not mention it?

Mine arrived to... uhm... yester... let's make it easier: on June 23rd Here are some pictures - how it arrives and is packed (with a little cardboard, how the box looks from all sides, the FSK-cover, the flip-cover without the FSK seal, the disks and booklet. Cool, das sind fast so viele Euros wie ich Blu-rays habe :D Aber mal im Ernst: Absolutes Schnäppchen, wenn ihr mich fragt. Hab das oberste von den dreien (den Lenticular-Slip) neulich einzeln für 450€ gesehen. Also wenn man das mal hochrechnet: 3*450€ = 1350€. Ich sag nur ZUSCHLAGEN! 🤣😂 Wie sehr man eigentlich die Kontrolle über sein Leben verloren haben muss, wenn man meint, das wäre ein realistischer Preis...

Still und klammheimlich ist es heute passiert. Da nimmt man ein Paket entgegen, denkt an nichts böses, Trägt den Film in seine Blu-ray-Liste ein. Und zack: 💯0! (ja, die 0 sieht ein wenig verunglückt aus). Eigentlich hatte ich überlegt, mir die 1000. Edition genau auszusuchen, aber dann ist das jetzt doch schneller passiert als erwartet - neulich kamen ja auch 5 völlig unerwartete Filme dazu (Nr. 995-999), und Die Weißen Haie (991-994) waren auch ein ungeplanter Impulskauf 🤣 Gezählt werden da nur Blu-rays, und zwar nach Edition (also eine E3 von FAC ist eine Edition, auch wenn da zwei Fullslips drine wären, genau so ist z.B. die Star Trek-Box mit T-Shirt und den 10 Steelbooks nur eine Edition, auch wenn es die Steelbooks auch einzeln gab), für DVDs hab ich noch eine eigene Liste, da sind es nochma 120 Stück. Wobei es streng genommen schon ein paar mehr wären - zwei Steelbooks hab ich wieder aus der Sammlung gegeben, und sie rausgenommen (die laufende Nummer hab ich erst später hinzugefügt) - das waren dann so Steelbooks wie jetzt auch Breakfast Club ein Kandidat wäre - weil dann das selbe Steel noch mal in einem Fullslip war, und tatsächlich hab ich auch ein paar hier in einer Kiste stehen, die zum Tauschen gedacht sind, weil ich da mich nicht vorab entscheiden konnte, oder es ein Gewinn war, mit dem ich nichts anfangen konnte, etc.

Ich kauf ab und zu mal Elektronikbauteile aus China - das ist die typische Wartedauer, für solche Produkte (die kosten dann halt auch nix - weder das Produkt noch der Versand). Solange nix verloren geht, bzw. man kulant ist, wenn das doch passiert, hab ich da kein Problem mit (aber ehrlich gesagt hab ich bei HDZeta auch noch nie was bestellt, also... ). Hong Kong scheint gerade ähnlich betroffen zu sein, auf den Joker von MantaLab wartet man ja auch immer noch...

Da Du noch ein Kaffee-Neuling bist: Ist aber schon richtiger Kaffee, den Du trinkst? Entkoffeiniert gilt nicht als richtiger Kaffee Ne, im Ernst: Dann hast Du entweder eine gute Kaffeetoleranz, oder aber Du schläfst generell zu wenig. Ich kann auch nach nem Kaffee gut einschlafen, an Tagen, wie bspw. heute, wo ich dauermüde bin. Aber wenn ich gut ausgeschlafen bin, und dann nen Kaffee trinke, vorm schlafen, wirds kritischer... Schlafen geht dann troztdem, aber ich lieg halt länger wach und wenn ich dann eingeschlafen bin, ist's ein unruhigerer Schlaf. Aber Kaffee wirkt ja auch bei jedem anders. Ich kann auch um 18 Uhr noch Kaffe trinken und 3 Std. später gut schlafen, Andere Leute schlafen dann erst um 1. Du könntest tatsächlich mal probieren reine Koffeintabletten zu nehmen, vielleicht helfen die ja, wenn du mal Wach bleiben musst. Aber besser ist natürlich ein gesunder Schlafrythmus. Musste ich auch auf die harte Tour lernen (und halte mich trotzdem immer noch nicht dran - naja. Man ist ja auch nur einmal jung, wa? ).

Das Problem ist die Koffein-Intolleranz die man da aufbaut. Ich hab früher Kaffee immer als Genussmittel getrunken, und dann aber mit der betrieblichen Ausbildung in nem IT-Support-Büro plötzlich literweise Kaffee geturnken (weil alle immer zu Faul waren, sich selbst Kaffee zu holen hat man sich immer neuen Kaffee bringen lassen, wenn einer mal Kaffee holen war - sprich, neben der drei Kaffee, auf die Du selbst lust hast, hast Du dann noch immer mind. 3 weitere (häufig mehr) "mit getrunken". Bei mir war der Effekt irgendwann auch derjenige, dass ich nicht wirklich Wach geworden bin, aber wenn ich ihn nicht getrunken hab, war ich zu nix zu gebrauchen. Dann hab ich mal nen halbes Jahr Kaffeeentzug gemacht, das hat sehr geholfen. Dumm war es, das ich mich später dazu entschied, noch zu studieren - da ging das mit dem Kaffeekonsum wieder los. Wenn man häufig wegen der vielen Aufgaben nachtschichten schiebt (insbesondere wenn man nebenbei auch noch arbeiten muss), bleibt da viel Koffein nicht aus. Hab dann sogar mal reine Koffein-Tabletten genommen - das kann ich aber nicht empfehlen. Ich war danach so aufgedreht, das ich auch nix hinbekommen hab, auch wenn ich die ganze Nacht wach war - schlafen ging danach auch nicht mehr

Well I cannot complain about that, because I often also stay up far too long 😇 But at least I get up early, even if I have to take a bath in coffee, brush my teeth with coffee, have a spread of coffee on my bread and oh, drink some coffee with it. 🤪

Das wird dann aber recht teuer. Auch wenn der Rechner mittlerweile seine Jährchen auf den Buckel hat - damals hat der (eigene Zusammenstellung) 2.500€ gekostet. Die will ich nicht noch mal hinlegen, solange das Gerät mir - hardwareseitig - gute Dienste leistet. Ist das scheiß neue Ubuntu, das hier die Probleme macht - hätte nicht updaten sollen *seufsz*

Montag morgen... ich glaub ich leg mich wieder hin, nachdem ich jetzt die letzten 3 Std. darauf verschwendet habe, meinen Rechner nach dem Update wieder zu Starten zu bekommen...

Uff, das sieht ja grandios aus. Wo liegen die Preislich so? Dann brauch ich ja am Ende des Tages keines der Label mehr - ich mach mir jetzt meine eigenen Fullslips! Mit Blackjack, und Nutten!
