Any idea what kind of finish this US release has?  Was looking online to see if mentioned but cant seem to find an answer.

I believe it was satin or glossy but I’m away from home right now and can’t check. @Heywoodmoutaw snagged a copy. Hey bud, can you confirm?

Glossy, at least that’s what I would call it. I think of satin as closer to matte, which it’s definitely not, but we may use the terms differently.  It’s quite nice, very shiny orange.

So, again, I might not use the terms the way another person would.  It’s certainly not as shiny as the Dune 2 steel, but I wouldn’t quite call it matte.  Maybe satin is the right term.

Thanks for the update @Heywoodmoutaw and @deckard99.  Kind of shocked no unboxings of this US light blue one yet.  Was hoping glossy, but even the orange one to me isnt glossy compared to Dune 2.  Although I do like the finish of the orange one.  Sounds like this one is a little more like matte.  Either way I definitely like the artwork.

The same blue art was available on French and German steels a few years ago (which I have 🤪). I haven’t compared them yet, but the finish is similar to what I remember. They certainly weren’t high gloss.

Went to Walmart to check this one out, and spine slashes galore, tons of manufacture defects, and those side scratches (also probably manufacture defects)....  Walmart had the right idea protecting these in hard plastic cases, too bad QC from steelbook manufacturing is so poor.  And who really knows who to blame for the spine slashes, could be both.  Some of the worst manufacture defects were long vertical streaks thoughout the front.

Held off this one, but did purchase the glow in the dark one.  Why not, glow baby glow.
