Hello Media Psychos! My name is Jeff! I go by rectangleboy everywhere (I came up with that when I was 13 and just kept with it...).

 

I came across y'all while figuring out how to get nice steelbooks and 4k HDR releases of movies I love.

 

My partner and I are about to welcome our first kid, so we've been collecting all the movies that we grew up with and loved. With the way streaming services have been going lately, we figure our best bet is to just get everything that matters to us on physical media.

I bought a barcode scanner back in December, so I've been going wild scanning everything I have. Movies are the first thing, since blu-ray.com is so extensive and has such and easy way to catalog them all.

 

Things I hope to accomplish by joining these forums:

• Get more movies I love.
• Get more steelbooks for those movies.
• Participate in some group buys.
  • I'm really looking forward to figuring out whatever is up with the Lord of the Rings leather boxed set.
• Add more tools to my Python library, homelib-tools.
  • I don't want to have to rely on blu-ray.com, but that may be the 
  • This is also for books, CDs, video games (I have accrued quite a few discs and cartridges from the PS2/GC/Xbox era and before that I need to keep track of)
• Meet other folks who love movies!

 I’m a collector too that started out w/Best Buy/Target exclusives that really got me into the Premium editions (I started way back though  & gradually upgraded from VHS to DVD to BD to 4K oh my 🤣). then I was fortunate to find out about this terrific forum MP from another forum I followed & MP took over my #1 place since March ‘19 hey 👋
