Despite GoldenEye being one of my favourite Bond films, I've always thought The World Is Not Enough featured his best performance as Bond.

 

His relationship with Electra King (my favourite Bond "girl") seems like a precursor to the relationship Daniel Craig's Bond would have with Vesper in Casino Royale.

 

I have a sneaky suspicion Eva Green looked to Sophie Marceau's performance when playing her own character.

 

I think the movie was one or two drafts away from being a great Bond movie. 

 

It already had some of the elements that the Craig Bond films would come to be defined by and praised for.
