I made it into group buy for ZSJL and am keeping my hopes up for The Prestige. I'm gonna be trying for Inception and The Batman, too. Very excited to see how these releases shape up!

It sure is! Meanwhile, my wishlist is expanding… 😂 I’m starting to work on my Nolan collection, too. Waiting on the HDZeta DL for TENET and an invoice for the full slip of Interstellar from the winter sale, and the BluFans Dark Knight. Also waiting to see if I get in on The Prestige Manta group buy. Now an eBay listing for Dunkirk is haunting me and I hope it sticks around until next pay day… Jeez Louise!

I hear ya, man. I'm slooooowly building up my Manta Lab collection and had to cut myself off this morning before one more of those sneaky recommendations played havoc with my brain and pocketbook. This hobby is expensive and addicting! But damn if I'm not proud of my meager collection. And I've got some goodies on the horizon that are sure to satisfy.

I was just thinking about how long this week has been, and it's only Tuesday... Ugh.

After the wife and I decided to cut the cord, I went streaming-only for a while, but never got crazy enough to throw away our disc player! Unfortunately, the Internet provider we had the time was absolutely atrocious and kept dropping our signal, which made streaming untenable. And then I upgraded to a 4K Blu-ray player and got back into buying physical media. And then I discovered this site... 🤣 I spent some time on eBay this morning buying myself some more physical media goodies, which should be arriving over the week or so. I do love some of the streaming services, though. Discovery+ has been fantastic for us, since we're Food Network addicts, and we have Disney+ plus for the kids (along with the Star Wars and Marvel stuff for us). It's not an either-or situation. Both coexist rather nicely for me, but for movies physical discs cannot be beat. I never quite realized just how watered down the A/V was between disc and streaming until my copy of Tenet went defective 15 minutes. I queued up the digital copy and immediately noticed how much softer and less bassy gunshots sounded and turned it off. Exchanged the disc, then finished up the viewing. But I'll still happily stream stuff as needed.

Yeah, I missed the steelbooks. But you’re right, the aftermarket isn’t too bad at all. I’ll probably scour for it on payday. 😂

Hoping to pick this up soon, too, but we’ll see. It’s gorgeous!

During a brief @collectonghk restock at the end of January, I was able to snag their limited edition GODZILLA VS KONG digibook. Just arrived today! 😁 This is my second Manta Lab digibook after THE SUICIDE SQUAD and I’m loving this line. Wish I could have gotten my hands on the DUNE digi, but fingers crossed we’ll be seeing one for THE BATMAN soon (along with some premium slips and steelbook)! 🤞

I was looking at Onkyo too! Along with Yamaha and Denon. Was leaning toward the latter, but since it looks like everything is OK now that’s going on the back burner again. Gonna use that money on more group buys!!! 😂😂😂

So, weirdly, it turned out to be a loose power cable from the TV. I guess it was in just enough to display over-the-air from the antenna, but not enough to power the HDMI? Never ran into that before, and only found out because I started plugging into each of the different HDMI ports and still wasn’t getting an image from anything! And then when I went to swivel the TV back into place and power cord fell out! Jesus… I feel like such an idiot now… LOL 🤦🏻‍♂️ Stay tuned for further adventures from this techno know-nothing nincompoop … 🤪

I’m at a loss… no video on any of the HDMI channels when I plug the blu-Ray player directly into the TV, either. And now the receiver isn’t transmitting the Apple TV signal either. I’m going to unplug everything and start from scratch.

Gonna try that in a few minutes. Had to take a break from switching out cables behind the TV stand and get the kinks out of my knees. Need to complain a bit first! LOL

Whooo dang, this weekend is getting expensive already. Had to pay for car repairs, then went to put on a movie only to discover my receiver isn't transmitting video because the ports are all dead and only deliver sound. So... any recommendations for a new receiver? I'm leaning toward a Denon.
