Multi Retailer Dune: Part Two (4K UHD/2D Blu-ray Steelbook) [USA]

It’s live! Walmart -
I like it! Very reminiscent of Kingdom Come. Also glad he dropped the Legacy subtitle, which kinda bugged me for a film that’s supposed to be a clean break from what’s come before and a reboot to the DCU. Fingers crossed this doesn’t suck.

HMV does not ship to the US. However, Tango & Cash, as well as Stallone’s Cobra, are up for preorder on FNAC. -

That hairstyle sure is a choice. Maybe this new Crow flick is actually a prequel to Travolta's The Fanatic?

This and That (Where Great Conversations Are Happening)
MikeH5856 replied to Masterblaster's topic in English
70 degrees yesterday, 20 degrees today. Pick a season, Michigan! I'm starting to feel like I'm in THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW. -
I certainly wouldn't turn away Doom. And goddamn, if Secret Wars is his introductory threat to the MCU, what the hell's he gonna do next?! 🤣

The massive retooling Daredevil under went gives a lot of hope. Karen and Foggy are back, and it sounds like D'Onfrio is much happier with the new direction. Apparently Bernthal turned down the offer to return as The Punisher based on the prior direction, but the revamp convinced him to come back, too. Sounds like they have a lot of the Netflix talent back on board this time around... makes you wonder why they weren't smart enough to do that the first time around, though. Hopefully that's a big lesson learned for moving forward. I am definitely curious to see what they do with the Avengers flicks now, post-Jonathan Majors conviction. It's an easy role to recast given the very nature of the Kang character, so it strikes me as odd that they'd want to move away from their original plans. I'm still hoping for a Secret Wars flick with Toby and Andrew's Spider-men alongside Holland and Jackman's Wolverine and some 20th Century Fox X-Men someway, somehow. Guess we'll find out in a few years.

Well, if the trailer is anything to go by, it looks like they certainly managed to capture the tone of the videogame.

Multi Retailer Ocean's Thirteen (4K UHD/2D Blu-ray Steelbook) [USA]

Hopefully these start popping up on Amazon soon. And for cheaper, too... -
I feel like I'm a smidge more optimistic about this, but only just. I hope Fiege can turn things around and get the MCU back on-track and focus on quality over quantity. Going back to two or three good films and shows a year is far more exciting to me than five+ subpar projects a year. I'm excited as hell for Deadpool 3, and it's been a long time since I could say that about a Marvel movie. I bought The Marvels disc, just to have it in the collection, but have yet to muster up the enthusiasm to actually watch it. It took me quite a while to watch Ant-Man 3 and Guardians of the Galaxy 3, just because I was so fatigued on Marvel stuff. Ditto all the Disney+ Star Wars stuff, too. I spent years and years and years eating well on this stuff, but now I just feel stuffed and bloated and have no appetite for it anymore. (That said, I did recently rewatch Infinity War and Endgame just to have on while working out, and damn, those have held up nicely and blow the current crop of movies waaay out of the water it's ridiculous.) Deadpool 3 and Fantastic Four have piqued my curiosity for sure, but the latter could go the other way depending on what they do with it and how they do it. Otherwise, it's just been too much to keep up with it for me and these projects haven't felt like they're even meeting me even halfway when I finally muster up the effort to give it a go.

Multi Retailer The Crow - 30th Anniversary (4K UHD Steelbook) [USA]

ORDERED! -
It’s crazy. They bought the studio just to eliminate them as a competitor, and have completely ignored the massive film library that they could be exploiting like mad (unless it was Star Wars). Hell, they even ignore their own studios libraries. How the heck do we not even have Tombstone yet, let alone Fox titles like Fight Club, Master and Commander, the rest of the Die Hard movies, etc etc etc. Such a damn shame. Hopefully Sony can help right this ship.

The last point especially! DB100s and proper sound mixes are must-haves. Death to the subdued atmouse tracks!
