Netflix is bringing back Iron Chef! My wife and I were both addicted to Iron Chef America, and even rewatch the occasional episode on Discovery+, so I find this news absolutely wonderful. Weird that Netflix is the one to reboot it instead of Food Network, but whatever, I'll take it. And it starts next month! https://ew.com/tv/meet-the-new-iron-chefs-netflix-reboot/

Well, after the last month's worth of invoices, I've only got 3 group buys that are still outstanding and awaiting payment (AI from Broad Nation, and two from CineMuseum). Phew! Man, it feels great to have those paid off. I expect the upcoming Manta Lab releases will be help refill the queue in short order! Presumably, anyway; I may have to hedge my bets and hope there's stock left over for wee little regulars like me. 🤣 🤣🤣 -

Pretty cool news about Mary Elizabeth Winstead being involved in Ahsoka. Really looking forward to The Acolyte, too. I'm glad to see they're more fully embracing the universe of Star Wars outside the Skywalker family (although I'm excited to see Obi-Wan, too!)

Man, I'm getting itchy for a new premium to arrive! I've got several invoices paid off, but I want to buy more older titles that'll arrive on my doorstep soon. I need a quick infusion of cash so I can get another item from the end of the year sale. And I'm kicking myself for not going with the one-click HDZeta Batman v Superman instead of the DL, and now I'm wondering if I maybe just keep an eye out for an empty box on eBay if it'll fit my copy along with the MantaLab DL because I don't really need that many copies of this flick and.... Gah! This crap is addicting! -

The first teaser for the new Predator movie, Prey, has been released! It's only a few seconds long, but I'm definitely intrigued. Synopsis: Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, “Prey” is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.

Same, all around. We still don’t know what the Zavvi edition is like yet, do we? Or if they’re getting the same release. I preordered that edition just to be on the safe side, but depending on what they’re putting out I’ll either keep it or just go with the Best Buy edition.

Yeah, we'll see what happens. I already re-ordered everything through Amazon since we usually (like, 99% of the time) have one of their delivery drivers drop stuff off and avoid the post office entirely. If it does show up, I'll either cancel or have to return everything. Anyway, I just submitted an email complaint. Good idea on that, and I'm glad to have put it into writing. Thanks for the suggestion! -

It varies! Last week the carrier gave everything (mail and packages) to our neighbor. Yesterday, we got the mail, but the one package was returned to sender. -

I don’t know if it’s the area I’m living in now or what, but the service definitely ain’t what it used to be. The apartment complex we lived in a decade ago had, hands-down, the best mail carrier of my life. Even growing up in my hometown, things weren’t too shabby. But the last few years have just gotten worse and worse, and I know COVID isn’t helping any. I’m wondering if they have a different carrier on Saturdays then Monday-Friday; that’s when it seems worst of all. -

Haha, yeah, I hear ya. I do keep hoping they’ll give our route to somebody competent, but I doubt it. That’s about as optimistic as I get! 😂😂😂
