  1. I almost forgot, I wanted to thank everyone who participated in my challenge! @extantsrevenge helped refine the idea for Challenge #6, after vetoing a few of my other ideas 😅
  2. Challenge #7 1. The Thing This movie is soooooo spooky, it's already multiplied! Omg! And there's two more on the way! 2. From Dusk till Dawn Sexy lady turns into a vampire? That's spoooooky! 3. The VVitch Another pretty lady who may or may not be a vvitch? Goodness, that's spooky! 4. The Evil Dead & Evil Dead 2 Not only is there dead, but they're evil??? How spooky!!! 5. Shaun of the Dead I know what you're thinking, "oh another horror comedy", but no. There's some spooky stuff in here. Like when there's a choreographed musical scene set to Queen. That was spooky as hell. Bonus Round! I'm throwing in Jaws and Alien out of spite 🤣
  3. Spooky challenge! I have a few in mind, but before I take pics, could we make a list of approved "debatable" titles? Like The Thing, Alien, Jaws, etc. It's gonna be hard to keep track as more people post.
  4. I won't be rejoining, and will leave this club. It's nice to see they resolved their mistake so fast though, hopefully it doesn't happen again!
  5. There's a new BioShock? (This gif is crap but for some reason there's a terrible lack of Liz gifs)
  6. I'm open to anything tbh, but idk if Nils wants to be a big 🤓 about the points
  7. I thought about stopping by a thrift store for my second O, but then I thought... Nah I'm just gonna chea—I MEAN, I'm gonna cheese it
  8. You should play the first BioShock at least, it's a classic. And Rapture is awesome! Amarays and DVDs count, VHS if you're truly desperate lol. Unless @extantsrevenge wants you all to suffer 🤣
  9. Challenge #6! ABCDLMNOP: Alphabetize and Summarize! For this week's challenge, we're going to be spelling our usernames with the first letter of a movie's title! (Un)fortunately, how hard this will be is entirely based on your name. We will also be sharing the origin of our names. Here's the rules! Only the first letter of the title can be used. If it starts with "The", use the word after it. If It starts with a number, use the first letter of said number. Numbers in your usename can also be covered with the the first letter of that number (for example 1 = One). Any editions will do! Only one movie per letter. For those who think they can spam X-Men Origins: Wolverine, I've got some bad news for you. You can only use that movie once. But the other X-Men movies are fair game! Tell us a little about yourself. How did you come up with your username? Cheese It! Maybe you're short a letter or two. Well, you can always get creative! For example, let's look at my submissions: I—I Am Legend N—National Lampoon's Animal House F—From Dusk till Dawn I—The Incredibles N—The Notebook I—Inglourious Basterds T—The Thing E—Ex Machina D—Dredd O—Onward O—10 Cloverfield Lane R—The Raid S—Star Trek Beyond If you're wondering why I included 10 Cloverfield Lane for O, it's because I counted it as ONE ZERO, not TEN. Is that an illogical approach? I prefer to call it inspired. And finally, the origin of my username. I came up with it shortly after playing BioShock: Infinite (big spoilers ahead) ... ... ... because I loved the character of Elizabeth so much. It's based on the finale with the lighthouses, there now being "infinite doors" for her to travel through. >Elizabeth: Look at that. Thousands of doors...opening all at once. My god, they're beautiful. >Elizabeth: See? Not stars. Doors. >Booker: Doors to...? >Elizabeth: To everywhere. All that's left is the choosing. >Booker: What are all these lighthouses? Why are we...who are...? >Elizabeth: There are a million million worlds. All different and all similar. Constants and variables. >Booker: What? >Elizabeth: There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man, there's always a city... >Booker: How do you know this? >Elizabeth: I can see them through the doors. You...me, Columbia, Songbird... But sometimes, something's different...yet the same. >Booker: Constants and variables. >Elizabeth: Yes. >Elizabeth: You can wait as long as you want. Eventually, you'll give him what he wants. >Booker: How do you know all this? >Elizabeth: I can see all the doors, and what's behind all the doors, and behind one of them, I see him.
  10. 1. Call of Duty: Black Ops II My very first steelbook, and I didn't know it was a thing back in 2012. I didn't even know it came with the Hardened Edition, I just wanted the Nuketown DLC and stuff. Ahh, sweet innocence. 2. Alien From Filmarena, this is my first intentional premium purchase. I bought it because Alien is a classic, and the slip looked pretty cool. It wasn't until I got it that I realized just how awesome it was, and solidified my opinion of FAC as a quality retailer. Too bad everything else solidified them as slower than snails 😂 3. From Dusk Till Dawn This is a KimchiDVD buy from eBay, the price made me wish I got into this hobby much earlier. But damn if it wasn't worth it, the slip is just gorgeous. I don't have much more from Kimchi, but they do good work. 4. Hellboy II: The Golden Army I think this is technically my second movie premium, I had pre-ordered it before buying the previous ones. The first would have been Shaun of the Dead, but EverythingBlu dragged their feet on that one. In any case, this is a good premium, simple yet elegant. It's too be EB went under. 5. Spider-Man Trilogy One of my earliest buys from Media Psychos, and the first premium to be delivered. I think my very first was Lord of the Rings, and we're all still waiting for that 🤣 What can I say? The movies are awesome, and WeET is awesome. The boxset is awesome. Awesome awesome awesome.
  11. I hope it's a swan song and not a farce. I'll admit, Moriarty being there is interesting, but Lore finally showing up is weird. His time was Season 1, now it's too late imo. And if one of the TNG crew does die, it better not be Picard again. Or Troi, since she unceremoniously died in All Good Things for some cheap drama for Worf and Riker.
  12. You guys this is totally fake! It says we're getting the complete collection, but it's missing Freddy's Nightmares!
  13. Okay, I restricted myself to premiums for a bit of a challenge. If something doesn't count, let me know! 5. GRINDHOUSE—Novamedia Pretty basic compared to the rest of my choices. It's a sweet muscle car, but it's not super prominent. But in any case, it's a transportation vehicle! 4. STAR TREK BEYOND—Filmarena The good ol' 1701! Well, maybe not the old one, but it's still the Enterprise! Another one that isn't very prominent, but that ends now. Awesome spaceship! 3. BUMBLEBEE—UHD Club Is this cheating? Maybe a little, but I saw another Bee earlier so I'm going for it! Our favorite yellow Transformer turns into a Volkswagon, and then into a Camaro for no good reason at the very end of the movie! That's like a twofer! 2. THE DARK KNIGHT—HDZeta I am getting so much mileage out of the TDK trilogy, it's criminal. I think I've used it for every challenge so far. And for good reason, it kicks ass! The Batpod is really cool, and gets you from Point A to Point B*. *The B stands for Bat. 1. BACK TO THE FUTURE TRILOGY—Filmarena Another twofer, and with such iconic vehicles, the time traveling DeLorean and the hoverboard! What more do I need to say?
  14. FANCY ass mf with a whole video! Damn, I have a few ideas in mind, but I have to comb through my collection.
  15. 1) You guys are probably going to see this a lot, and I don't just mean for this challenge. It's the TDK motherbox again, with its iconic custom art again! Stuff like this proves why MP is such a fantastic community, and it's far from the last thing @ksosk will do for us! Also a special guest makes a small cameo! 2) Time for more lenti love! It's the lenticular magnet from WeET's Spidey Trilogy, and it's plain awesome. I wish I had a fridge in my room, just to slap lenti magnets on it. Another cameo too! 20220925_210853.mp4 3) This one is pretty special, it's a letter from Theodore to his ex, from Manta Lab's her OC. It's not flashy or valuable, but it's quite heartfelt and indicative of the movie's emotional maturity. It's also cute how it's taped onto the box.
  16. I'm nervous. Although the few things I've gotten from Zavvi through MP turn out perfectly fine, I've heard nothing but horror stories about Zavvi deliveries. I'm debating on waiting for fnac or just going through Zavvi.
  17. It's the lenticular magnet for the slip above, and thank you!
