  1. I just love how Iron Man was plastered all over the posters, shoved into the trailers, all of the marketing flat out showing Tony and Peter teaming up against Vulture, zipping through New York. Obviously retailers followed suit, seeing how this is the official artwork they have to use. And then Tony isn't in much of the movie, and the Iron Man suit even less. Ah well.
  2. Yeah, this yellow does not pop. Looks more like old piss, and the stickerbook approach sucks. The OC sucks too. Whole thing will probably be another skip.
  3. Actually this made me curious, so I checked the global list. Manta has only ever done 1 animated movie, Lego Batman.
  4. I wonder if the Raimi trilogy will also clog up the pipeline. And as for the Amazing Spider-Man movies, we better start saving up now! They will definitely happen!
  5. After having a solid month of Easter challenges, and then almost another month of.... nothing, you really look back and appreciate what you had. I am 100% missing weekly interaction with you guys, whether it's forced (I say that lovingly) or not. Bring on Challenge 39 Nils!
  6. Seems odd to ask for a grand if it wasn't authenticated first. It's just an old hunk of plastic otherwise, no wonder everyone questioned it. That being said, it would've been a total steal if sold
  7. They're Upper Deckers now, if the show kept going they'd be Command Deckers. I'm pretty sure McMahon has said before that he doesn't want the show to continue forever, and after getting promoted it makes enough sense to end it. At least they weren't unceremoniously canceled like Prodigy, thankfully Netflix saved it.
  8. This isn't the Christian Bale movie about an insane smiling psychopath I was expecting from Manta Lab...
  9. I'm surprised no one's posted about the new Disco episodes yet. Unless everyone forgot when the season started lol I liked the first two episodes for the most part, I'm more engaged with this season long plot than I was with the Burn or the DMA, because there's no huge galaxy-wide threat... yet.
  10. I'm just kidding, because I won in a different category 😏 I'm just kidding, wow! It's been quite a month, playing game after game after game, it was a ton of fun! I actually hope next Easter is something similar, or at least not as soul crushing as last time... shiver Thank you to everyone who organized the games, congratulations to all the winners, double congratulations to all the other players, and a special GO TO HELL! to Psycho Bunny, that furry little SOB. See you all next time! Also this is pretty sweet
  11. How about next year we just have a big barbecue? We can even invite Psycho Bunny...
  12. I can't skip around with anything, Trek or not. I'll end up just watching linearly from that point on. Yeah I wouldn't be able to sell everyone else in the house on spending more for something they'll just ignore in favor of Netflix, Hulu, etc
  13. How do you normally watch then, just skip around to whatever episode you want? Watch all of Voyager for example, but then go to TNG? Maybe if I got a cheap-ish PC just to run the server. I have a laptop but the battery is garbage and overheats like crazy, CPU is weak, overall it just sucks. Is the increase to your electricity bill noticeable?
  14. Are you talking about the timeline? I meant release order, but since I mentioned going from Enterprise to TOS I could see how one would think I meant chronological. I'll never understand people who do that btw, for any franchise. The time travel episodes alone would be a huge pain in the ass to navigate, then there's flashbacks, movies/episodes taking place at the same time, and so on. It also loses narrative cohesion, thematic significance, etc. I thought about Plex, but setting up a server, leaving my computer on 24/7, researching NAS, it all sounds like a headache, and I would still need to rip everything anyway, so maybe in the future I'll reconsider. The only reason I even thought about getting Plex was so I could watch Trek at work again, but that's not exactly worth it. If anything I could just take my SSD with me, plug it in. Same goes for trips and any other time away from home. Maybe I could save myself a few gigs and not even bother with These Are the Voyages lol. Speaking of, chronological viewing would mean I'd have to stop in the middle of The Pegasus to watch this entire episode, since the framing device is Riker in the holodeck.
  15. I used to watch everything from TOS to Enterprise on a loop back when it was on US Netflix. Finished Terra Prime? Go right back to The Man Trap, rinse and repeat. But ever since it was all pulled, I haven't gone back to watch it. Not only because I no longer had easy access, and CBS All-Access/Paramount Plus sucks balls, but after the millionth viewing it might've been time to take a multi-year break (absence makes the heart grow fonder!). However, P+ is no longer "The Home of Star Trek". They keep licensing everything out (the movies are currently on Max instead of P+), and then there's the whole Prodigy debacle. This stupidity isn't exclusive to them though, the other streamers do it as well. Even today, Max dropped about 30 DC titles from its catalog, some of it even going to Disney Plus (surprisingly not an April Fool's joke, granted it's via Hulu). Let's not even get into the tomfoolery Zaslav is up to with trying to get the biggest tax breaks possible. So what is a guy to do, besides subscribe to everything? Well, there's a few ways to go about it. Buy the shows online on something like Prime or Vudu, but you don't actually own it and access can be revoked at any time. You could sail the seven seas 🏴‍☠️ ... Or you could buy physical copes like a fine, upstanding citizen! Then you can do whatever you want, because those are 10000% yours. And since I love the convenience of streaming, but don't want to be shackled to their whims, I'm now in the process of ripping my disks and storing it on a large SSD. Just barely started with TOS, getting the remastered versions with my precious subtitles, then I'll move onto the movies, TNG, DS9, and so on. So far it takes about an hour to rip 4 episodes, all about 40-ish minutes each. It's going to take some time for sure, but I'll get there. Then I could start digitizing the rest of my disks that I've picked up since I began collecting steelbooks. There's also the little matter of 4K being a bit of a problem to rip with certain drives, but I don't have to worry about that right now. It's going to be a long road...
  16. I have a string of gifs ready to go if I lose once again. That, and I know where Nils lives...
