Members need to understand that when it comes to shipping (whether in normal times or not) there are only about 3 status updates that John and the staff can confirm with absolute certainty: Shipped, In Transit and Delivered. That’s it.

You all know very well that when an item is in transit it can mean a number of things and that very often (especially as of late) whatever the tracking info states does not necessarily reflect what is happening in real time.

I currently have a blu-ray that hasn’t seen any movement since February 24th (still in New York) but does that mean it stopped moving? I have no idea, it could have arrived in France a week ago and is still being held in customs for all I know. 

What I do know for certain is that it’s on its way and that at some point it will reach its intended destination.

 

So rather than give members who ask “where is my item” an answer that may not be sufficiently informed, we prefer to give one that is more general but is at least accurate.

 

So if you or other members still think we are being evasive in our answers then that’s truly unfortunate... not much we can do about that and it’s up to you to decide if you accept it or not.

As i said, if for one or another they are not even shipped no problem i can understand there is issues.

When  i mention transparency i don't expect you to provide me with the flight number. Just about WHERE they are now as i suppose/hope there is a tracking number for the parcel.

Cause after 3 months the only update we got when we ask questions is  : they are not here yet, but they are safe.

Sorry this doesn't look very transparent to me, im sure you can understand that.

the frustration is of course not having received them, but more about, where are they ?

we are all waiting for stuff from many places its not ideal i know but there it is.

I ordered dozen of items from all parts of the world during the last 6 months.  None of them took more than 3 weeks to reach me (2 or 3 three took 6 weeks cause they have been hold at customs) . I understand the frustration of @Dr. Demonic if these simply have not been shipped for one or another reason, i can deal with that but covid delays can't be the reason for the parcel  to take 3 months to arrive. I have the  same problem with "das boot" also on german hub. I think we deserve a  bit more transparency.

@waxenol well, even the best classic ever will always have people not liking it. 

I dont get how somebody can not like scarface, but i find the deer hunter or taxi driver are complete boredom, so i guess everyone has the right to dislike a classic 😉

For some editions i used to have twice the same, one to open, one to keep sealed.

Now i stopped doing that.... I have 1 open  and 2 that i keep sealed, just in case... 😆

there is one difference with this particular release. All members who participate to the group buy had their edition secured. If you miss a group buy because it is closed, is not the same as if you tried to get one and MP was not able to provide enough copies. So in this case, even if he bought 3 of them, makes actually no differences for the ones who missed the GB.

@DodgyDave it is obviously not the hub's fault, but you can imagine, this makes it an uncommonly high bill for some of us.

@DodgyDave you must remember that some members do not have a hub in their country (like me)

makes it a 2nd international shipment, the sum of these becomes really expensive.

@pygospa i for sure didn't want post a rude telegram. If you took it that way it is pure misunderstanding. At that point we were talking about "why so much interrest in this release" and i answered your post saying that it would probably not be much appreciated or sought after just because it was no steelbook.

I also love to see other collector's pictures...

I just shared my opinion on this release. I am not too excited about the Steelbook, at least from the renderings it is not my favorite. Since today I haven't seen a Steelbook that is better than the one Mondo X did. Which is why I wasn't too excited about this title. Then I saw the Fullslip and thought to myself: "Wow. That's something I've never seen - I want that one!". And now, I'll rather have the OC, if I could get one. If I can't, well, that's live. And there are releases that I'd rather get, that I think provide more "value" for me

You seem easily offended and a tad aggressive...I was just mentionning that most people here would not be interrested in the mediabook since they collect only steelbooks. You post whatever you want anywhere, but since you post what you consider the best release (being a mediabook) on a thread about a steelbook release, don't be surprised if i simply mention that the major difference is that this is no steelbook...

that said, guess what, i am not a steelbook person at all ! I am more into digipacks, digibooks, mediabooks and special limited editions.
