@LeGonze is right. I was addressing the pre-registration phase in my reply. It's not exactly intuitive.

I totally sympathize with your exasperation. In general, if a title is known to be really popular (or will be) then MP will start the GB so that they can get an idea of numbers they will need. I believe this also helps inform the manufacturers (Blufans, HDZeta etc) decisions on print runs. When MP finds out the actual details such as one clicks and # of editions then members can go in and modify their initial reservation to indicate their actual "order"

I loved this move and the FAC hardbox. I will also await the full slip announcements to decide for sure. The LOTR bill is looming over my head so... I like thi WeET steelbook since it combines 2 really cool designs that I could easily display under my TV.

They haven't  announced it. The memberships don't expire until end of April and they are still surveying the Platinum members to see how many openings could be available. Then, I suspect we have to put our money where our mouths are and pay for then. Lol. Once the Platinum members are resolved then Gold will open and the cycle repeats.

Of course, I could be wrong...

From what I have seen there seems to be a lot of members interested so grabbing that Plat may be a difficult endeavour.

From what I've heard so far, very few Platinum members are not renewing them which means that there won't be many openings. Unless MP increases platinum numbers but that creates issues. Gold may be the main game in town!

"nightmare" is a relative term here! Most of the time the premiums aren't that much more expensive then a regular steelbook. If you keep shipping out of the equation since that does distort it. A nightmare would be paying for the Gold LOTR/Hobbit oneclicks from HDzeta.

It’s statistically possible to get a platinum, but realistically most likely not.

 

I started out w/gold & then a spot was opened up on the next allocation period & picked platinum... if any platinum does show up when you are looking at the time, I would go for it & if not try the gold & again if not then the silver... just get the one that is possible at the time is my recommendation for you my friend!

I started with no membership then I was able to get a Gold when I realized what they were. When platinum came up I decided to get one to show my support for MP. I haven't had occasion to need it yet. I'm renewing mine anyway since I figure there will be an explosion of releases with COVID slowly winding down. Then tiers will be quite useful:).

Nice to have my suspicions confirmed. Those were the GBs that I knew of:). LOL. HDZeta is gonna hurt my wallet when they come out. Hopefully, sooner rather then later! I want to watch LOTR in 4k!

"signed up for" that can be an issue! I sorta have a vague idea of which GBs I've signed up for. I "think" or "hope" I only have 3 official signups. Not including Dr. Strange.

Has FA delayed taking pre-orders for Dr. Strange? I don't recall getting an invoice so I'm checking...
