I remember when Studio Canal announced its upcoming 4K titles at the beginning of the year (T2 being among them) and people getting really excited about the possibility of a new transfer being in the works.

 

Such a release would've coincided nicely with its anniversary release this year.

 

It's the usual cocktail of arrogance and greed over a much beloved title that they know will sell regardless of the quality it's presented in.

They said when it was announced on Twitter that transfer is 2017 one. But ppl still hope it's new one. I don't get it why still some are surprised.

When they'll do video transfer as movie deserves then maybe, but until trash transfer is out it can be pure gold and i still won't buy it.
