Basically the title, a lot of people I talk to in the steelbook community seem to despite lenticular steels.

Other that it sometimes making the art look unclear but that’s the fault of the company for doing a bad job with it, doesn’t make lentis bad.

Is there another reason that I seem to be missing?

For me, it comes down to quality. I find that most lentis are blurry and low quality and often times the effect adds nothing to the art (a slight head tilt for example). There are some fantastic lentis out there with tons of clarity and interesting effects, but they are by far the minority. Full slips are just a safer bet in general since their floor is more acceptable to me - you know what you're going to get at least.

I also find that I enjoy the top-end full slips more than the top-end lenticulars as well. Really high end full slips with great texture, holofoil elements, and great art are just nicer to me than a really clear lenticular with solid depth.

It pretty much had everything...except the main character 🤣.

I'm just considering it Episode 0.5 of The Mandalorian Season 3. We now have a good idea as to where it will go following season 2 and I'm very happy with it. I loved seeing the Naboo Starfighter and my heart stopped a bit when we first saw the BD unit. I thought it was actually BD-1. I'd love to see Cal Kestis in live action.

It might be BD-1, different paint job but it had the same limp. Cal showing up in live action would be super cool.

We’ve talked offline about this show but you know where I stand, the show has had serious flaws in its pacing, presentation, and storytelling. It took 4 episodes to get to any kind of motivation for the main character, yada-yada’d about 5 years of history, and spent an entire episode (and the longest one at that) without the titular character. I’m going to watch it because I watch all of the Star Wars stuff, but this is one of the weaker entries in a while and probably about as bad as the last sequel film if we’re being honest.

@Wtd you are short 4 Editions 😅. Need 40 for the first stage.

If you don't have any additional right now I'm sure you will have some more soon. You can still use these photos then.

I have a few more amarays but I’m short by 2 editions 😓. I completely misread the requirements too (thought the 40 was a second tier). Whoops.

NWH and Eternals are already preordered so I’ll have it soon, but they haven’t arrived yet.

  4. Woohoo! A few more are in the mail, but I have the complete Disney animated steelbook collection (all 74 of them)! Here's a quick pic of my shelves. I'll post some front/cover pics of my favorites a bit later, but wanted to get this done before work.

    Congrats @Wtd on your pick-ups! :)

Did you get your Dune copy from DiabolikDVD? 🤔

I wish I would have gone with them, I’d already have my copy by now!! ;)

I did indeed get it from DiabolikDVD. It's a very nice release, surprisingly thick. Can't wait to crack it open before the new Dune hits theaters!
