  1. Diamonds are Forever?  See water in that movie as well, unfortunately there is water in all Bond movies.  Although still haven't confirmed if that is actually water or just a tunnel or something 🤔

  2. What a unique shot, it's amazing how we can guess so many wrong answers for past entries.  The first thing I see is water, but who knows if that is even water.  The black marks in the pic make it seem like an older movie.  I'll guess From Russia with Love?

Yeah man, this sucks.  I'd be curious to know if others have experienced this as well.  It may make me rethink my casual approach to storage.

Any ocd I ever had with steelbooks is now gone.  Best Buy scratching, spine slashing, and denting nearly all steelbooks started me down the path of caring less.  But now even if the steelbook survives Best Buy or another retailer's shipping, I still then have to worry about mother nature rusting the darn thing.

Thank goodness most of my money is in premium cardboard that won't rust. 😅.

I've not seen that before in a steelbook, but have on metal based toys. Are you in a humid area? I know humidity isn't good for Metal (learned it the hard way).

In the midwest so outside humidity is definitely an issue in summer.  Just started monitoring the humidity with a hygrometer and reading 46-47% in the basement currently, so curently under 50%.  Will have to keep an eye on it during the summer.

I was reading that matte steelbooks tend to be more affected, so might be moving most of those upstairs at least temporarily until I find a specific cause and solution.

  5. At one time this was in perfect condition.  It was stored in a plastic case in a closet in the basement with humidity 46-47%.

Maybe it was caused from the oils on my hands, although the steelbook was not touched more than a few times.

It was a beauty before the rust, and difficult to see this happen.

Also noticed a few others with tiny rust marks on the corners.  Thankfully only a few, but definitely going to keep an eye on them and might move them to another location to see if that helps.

Anybody else see this happen or have any ideas to prevent this.  Will be using gloves from now on.  I guess they are metal and will eventually rust but 3-4 years seems very early.

Saves me some time, as I won't have to post pics, although you are missing the sliced cardboard box I received, but maybe you lucked out and avoided that. 😄

Just think it could have been tiny images like on the Disney 100 series. At least this came with large colorful artwork on the front.

  7. At least for now this is sold out from FNAC, never know if it will come back. Was a pretty incredible deal for Disney steelbooks. Came out to $17 per steelbook and that included shipping.  FNAC did slice my cardboard box, but I can't read French, so wasn't that interested in the box anyway and didn't affect the steelbooks.

For the price, the steelbooks are not that bad, will add some pics later tonight.

  8. Challenge 27:

Thanks for the achievable challenge @Veum. (Foreign speaking films and the Razzies challenges seem to be beyond my reach)

    1. Kill Bill v1 and 2

    2. Mad Max Fury Road

    3. The Punisher

    4. V for Vendetta

    5. The Dark Knight

My favorites are the Batman movies.  I can watch almost any Batman movie over and over again, except for Batman and Robin and Batman vs Superman Dawn of Justice.  Those ones are pretty cringeworthy at times.
