  1. Went to Walmart to check this one out, and spine slashes galore, tons of manufacture defects, and those side scratches (also probably manufacture defects)....  Walmart had the right idea protecting these in hard plastic cases, too bad QC from steelbook manufacturing is so poor.  And who really knows who to blame for the spine slashes, could be both.  Some of the worst manufacture defects were long vertical streaks thoughout the front.

Held off this one, but did purchase the glow in the dark one.  Why not, glow baby glow.

So, again, I might not use the terms the way another person would.  It’s certainly not as shiny as the Dune 2 steel, but I wouldn’t quite call it matte.  Maybe satin is the right term.

Thanks for the update @Heywoodmoutaw and @deckard99.  Kind of shocked no unboxings of this US light blue one yet.  Was hoping glossy, but even the orange one to me isnt glossy compared to Dune 2.  Although I do like the finish of the orange one.  Sounds like this one is a little more like matte.  Either way I definitely like the artwork.

No disrespect to Manta, but I would much prefer a Blufans release of Oppenheimer.

In order to remain retailer of the year Manta is going to have to have to kick things up.  The Dark Knight, Dune 2, and Oppenheimer might just do it for them, but Blufans competing this year with discless MCU, MOS, and the upcoming LOTR releases.  Also what ever happened to Manta CP releases, took a 6 month break.  Thought we would have a 2024 release schedule by Manta by this time, but dont think there is one yet.

That's from Moonraker but I give you a pass, just this time.

Thought so and knew you would call me it out, but it was the perfect gif to express my frustration with all the wrong guesses. 😅

  5. Props to Warner Bros the orange Dune 1 and Dune 2 steelbooks are everything you could want an economy steelbook to be.  Great artwork and great colors, and finishes are not bad.  Other Dune 1 are excellent as well, other Dune 2 are a little questionable.  Still they hit a homerun with these two orange ones.

Good afternoon guys on this fall like day in May. My new manager sends out an email saying they will be enforcing a strict no media watching policy for remote/teleworkers who are home. It will be the same policy enforced in the office where pretty much you can't have phones and Tablets out with videos playing on them. I read the email again thinking wait how exactly are they going to enforce that. The team ends up having a quick teleconference meeting where one of my coworker's asked that very question. Our manager says well clearly they can't it's not like they are going to be dropping by to check in person. Besides the memo says phones and tablets nothing about big screen TV's or projector screens. In the background of his side I can hear Lt Ellen Ripley last survivor of the Nostromo saying and I quote (cough cough ahem throat is a little dry) excuse me......and I quote "GET AWAY FROM HER YOU B****". The same coworker ask if he is watching Aliens. He says yes and advises others to check it out if they've never seen it.

I would never use my phone or an electronic device to watch media while working, of course definitely never, and I would never scroll though Media Psychos at work. 😉
