  1. There are protectors available on eBay for all UHD Club releases. Go to eBay and type in UHD Club protectors and you'll see a bunch available. They are a bit pricey though IMO.
  2. My source for protectors is Steelbook Central in the UK. I use them because they don't charge a ton for shipping, the shipping is fast, and the prices/quality are very good. I believe they carry several different one-click protectors.
  3. I understand your point, but what if UHD Club decided to use the same MS-DOS style art that they did with LOTR? Would you still not want it to get to the poll stage?
  4. It's not that expensive, considering the quality of the wooden boxes, and UHD Clubs track record on extras. Once they get the art sorted out, I expect these to be the definitive releases for this trilogy.
  5. 4K Collection Update: Currently at 1043, with another 20 more ordered. Hopefully, after three months of waiting, my extra shelves that I ordered to fit my bookcases will arrive in the next few weeks. I ordered 6 shelves, and should be able to fit 3 minimum, but hopefully all 6.
  6. Challenge #35: Family Business. Thanks to @R1s1ngs0nfor this tough challenge! Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal (brother and sister) Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman (future spouses) Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw (future spouses) Bill Murray and Brian Doyle Murray (brothers) John Krasinski and Emily Blunt (spouses) Krasinski and Blunt are my favorite couple. I was really hoping they'd be Reed Richards/Sue Storm in the MCU.
  7. A few years ago, I read that UHD Club are limited on how many colors that can be used at once on these wooden boxes. The post/article I read mentioned 4-6 colors. If this is correct, maybe that is the reason for this particular art choice, and others.
  8. I appreciate UHD Club trying to do something different, but damn man this is underwhelming. I feel like the art on the back should be on the front. And the "art" on the front should be broken into 1000 pieces, then burned. I can only pray that The Godfather Trilogy will not have the same theme. #HDZetaIapologize
  9. My trilogy is now complete : Here is the Two Towers and Return of the King Box sets from HDZeta. Thanks to @Masterblaster and the crew for this group buy and safe and fast shipping once the packages got off the boat. The protectors for the one-clicks were very nice. My feelings on these two releases: The Two Towers was somewhat lackluster. Both the Fullslip and Lenti took a drop in quality as compared to FOTR & ROTK. The Steelbook was of lesser quality as well. ROTK has a better Steelbook and slips, but it's nothing to write home about. ROTK is the best of the three in terms of overall quality. I'm really disappointed with HDZeta in certain respects: The extras are exactly the same on all three releases: A photo book and a children's style photo book. The inside of each one click box has the same map of middle earth. The quality of the Lentis are decent, but lack the clarity and depth from some of their other releases. When I posted my FOTR pics I mentioned that the one-click box was underwhelming, and I stand by that. Not worth the price. Overall, this was disappointing. They are good releases, but I feel as though HDZeta did not have give them the attention they deserved. I can't imagine Manta Lab, WeET, or UHD Club (who will have their shot at this) coming with a lackluster effort like this. The mighty continue to fall. #Teamopenitup
  10. Challenge #34: Days of Future Past. Thanks @jwhitm3 for another great challenge! 1. Escape from New York: Released in 1981/Took place in 1997 2. Blade Runner: Released in 1982/Took place in 2019 3. Back to the Future Part II: Released in 1989/Took place partly in 2015. My favorite piece of future tech I wish we had is a hover board. I know we have a hover board right now, but I'm talking about the floating skateboards.
  11. Challenge #33: Intermission. Thanks to @ethnosax for the awesome challenge! 1. Seven Samurai: 207 minutes 2. The Godfather Part II: 200 minutes 3. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (Extended Edition): 186 minutes 4. The Hobbit: And Unexpected Journey (Extended Edition): 182 minutes 5. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (Extended Edition): 235 minutes
  12. Challenge #32: The Sticky End. Thanks to @Scary Hairfor this tough challenge! 1. The Godfather: Don Vito Corleone. Sad when he went. Fitting that he died playing with his grand kid as he was a family man. 2. Scarface: Tony Montana. For a fleeting moment I thought he would make it out alive, but too much coke and bullets. 3. Goodfellas: Tommy DeVito (Joe Pesci). He was a terrible guy, but when I first saw this as a teen, I didn't expect him to get popped the way he did. 4. Casino: Nicky Santoro (Joe Pesci). An even worse death than the character he played in Goodfellas, I can't think of a more scary way to go. 5. 300: Leonidas. It really made me sad to see him die, even though I knew it was coming. Ultimate Sticky: Avengers Endgame: Tony Stark. Only the second time I've cried during a movie death, (the other being Apollo Creed when I was 8). The whole sequence of events is a teer jerker.
