  2. No clue if you guys have spotted this before, but I randomly saw this release of Attack on Titan season 1 coming in the guise of "Ultimate Fan Edition", with the absolutely ridiculous price tag of $489.99 on Yesasia 🤣

That doesn't bode well for a complete set of AoT when it finishes up 💸

If it's not premiums we're throwing away our money on, it's something else.

Ohno, I'm not throwing away money on anything, it's all part of the masterplan! :P

You're more responsible than I am. No new GBs means I start heading to eBay for older releases...

Hah, I've got most of what I want of the older releases, still a few outstanding that I'd grab for a price I think is worthwhile, but not a priority really.

We’re doing wood floors in the coming weeks.

    Actual wood? 💸!!

I would rather go to work a thousand times than go shopping for curtains.

As a man this kind of shopping is the easiest thing ever. Full sunblock (bedroom), partial sunblock or full on see through - those are the choices. For color, grab whatever dark-grey hue is readily available. 😎

Guys!!! I get the keys on Monday!!! Signed on the house!!! 🔑 📄 🎉 🥳

Congrats on the house Mr. Ships! But now that you're an actual house owner.. well, you're not gonna find premiums affordable any longer :P Need new roof, new water heater and the driveway needs new asphalt. Oh, and the wife want to redo the kitchen for the umpteenth time :D

As much as I’d love to see these wooden boxes make a comeback, it is highly unlikely as @ksosk already mentioned.

I know he mentioned something about it, but I don't remember where or what though I'm assuming it's in large part due to cost of and working with wood.

    The rather simple solution (in my opinion) is the same that's been brought up before in regards to the limited editions we like to collect;
    MOD - Made on demand

Some people don't like it and for steels it's kind of a moot point anyway since Scanavo requires a minimum order of 2000 steels or so, but UC (and MAG) is way better suited for doing MOD editions for more costly alternatives like the BR wood boxes.

  6. I've not opened my Jaws and ET yet, but as I've had some time to compare and think about it with both in-hand I can't help but come to the conclusion they should've been normal DP releases. The boxes are cool as they are, don't get me wrong, but really, let the real wood boxes have these dimensions exclusively and make the rest like the other DPs.

2 distinctly different lines in terms of design and size as well as digipacks are plenty to make UC stand out.

How do you top that with the next release?

Easy, you take another quality action movie such as The Rock and give it a OC equal to this :P

I kinda want another OC now, but I'm stretched enough as I am economically. For the moment at least, so maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow... but soon 🙏

unless we totally ignore the approval process haha.

Please do. Ignore discs and any studio approvals. Counterfeit, bootlegs whathaveyou, I seriously don't care. Just make awesome editions! :)

Then again, what China have allowed to pass in the past in terms of copyright and blatant ripoffs may not be in line with the future.
