Scarface is a mixed bag for me - the illustration itself is wonderful but if you watch the accompanying clip closely, Tony doesn’t look very much like Al Pacino 😅

One thing that worries me a bit is the ToC-like acetate slipcover and the printed(?) logos on it.

Obviously, I would have loved seeing that artwork on a glossy steel (maybe in the future?!) but otherwise, it looks like a solid package for a film that has so far gotten no love in that department.

Frustrating that they extract a Steel and increase Price £10 compared to other recent Slip releases (£40)..., must be much better profit margin on every department for Warner... 

p.s, not sure if mentioned, but also Vice Press selling poster + slip package bundles...,, but separate postage for both items, kicks price up a bit....

Was not just from being dissapointed in missing out, more the poor community spirit. 

When someone's dissapointed it doesn't help to be called a moaner or snoozer, then see a bunch of people agree with them.

(Even if it was general comment, it was in reaction to my honest question.)

And let me guess, by people who scored what they wanted? 

That's not community spirit. 

I'd checked back several times to monitor chat, see if a Deadline was posted or discussed. Nothing. 

While juggling my own budget, interests and reality it slipped just off radar. 

A new member with 4 Deposits, was hoping BR2049 would have made it before now so I could claim those Deposits back to use. 

Seemed like a good idea at the time.

I requested for extra lentis and a box inside the wooden box to house all the separate items together.

BR will have that too but the design of that extra box is still awaiting approval.

 

Do remember that this wooden box is the 2nd generation - new opening design and higher quality.

Plus BR title is gold foiled and 2049 title is silver foiled!

The studio tends to have written contract for art made for the film, and different artwork are specifically for different division usage.

Media department is definitely not a big focus hence it is very difficult to apply for use of an art meant for another department for use in premium editions. =(

 

@DarkCloud I have feedback to UC and we will look into some other arts meanwhile. Hopefully something better!

my life is + has been one of video production/editing mainly, international docos, advertising,, 

also singer/songwriter - getting paid to play my own tunes in public (pre C19 anyway,,  ,) - so in general,...

used to immediate feedback, and trust me it's harder with drinkers  -

but have always loved what I call a 'good argument' and every one who touches a project, adds something unique and helps make a better result.
