My comment was referring specifically just to the extra film cuts, which I believe are the same for both the prior edition and this new 4K.

There is an existing 1080p Blu-Ray Collector's Edition digipak for Avatar, and this just appears to be the same thing, but in 4K. I own that one, and I believe that also has 4 discs. The extended cuts were also included in that previous CE digipak, so if you wanted to order just the steelbook edition without double-dipping, you wouldn't be missing out on those extra cuts. So long as you already own the older edition. But it does appear that the Steelbook will not be including the extended cuts, which is a real bummer.

It was Designed and Tweaked by the Gold members themselves .

I like the Red and the fact that the barcode when scanned come out showing Media Psychos , thought that to be pretty cool.

There is a steelbook for The Creator, but I believe it's a French release only at the moment. Somebody was asking about this same topic over on Reddit or the FB steelbook group, and that person was saying nobody in the US took the option for a steelbook release. At least not yet, so one may still be coming. All the standard releases have been announced and I believe are already up for preorder.

Quite possibly! Although their announcement did say sometime early next year (end Q1, maybe?), so maybe there will be a few more exclusives we can land.

What I'm really hoping for is a huge blowout sale for their remaining physical media stock. Something similar to what they did when they liquidated all their Disney steels a few years back.

I must respectfully disagree with you. The Mandalorian is some of the best work to emerge from the Disney-Star Wars era since they bought the rights from George Lucas. And that's saying a lot, considering the work they've done with Episodes 8 & 9.

Im sorry also for any confusion this process might cause , but it might help if you take a look at our GB INFO , it has the updated process. 

 

If you go to the Club section , you will see what clubs you can join and what clubs you are in (to the right of the page)  Im not sure how this view is on laptops or phones but with the PC screen you can see it well.

 

If you see the Club on the right then that means you are in that club.  

 

See picture for reference.  I do not know which THIRD GB you have joined but it might be you just joined today the third one and we have not gotten around to adding you.

I don't know how many people use mobile devices for MP like I do most of the time, but I'll leave the tip here for everybody anyway.

You can easily find what clubs you belong to by clicking on the hamburger icon (the three horizontal bars) in the top right corner of the screen, and then clicking on the Clubs link. Once on the Clubs page, you can filter for "My Clubs."

That being said, while I don't mind the change to admin auto-adding us to clubs after we request to join a GB, I do miss the notification to accept the Club invite. But that's mostly really only because of my Type A, OCD personality, and me wanting to make sure it's been done lol. I just remember to check after about 24 hours or so, but I've also forgotten sometimes what I've done. But that's completely my fault and not MP's.

I can see the automated process being confusing to some newer members who aren't as up-to-date on the procedures around here as our more established members.

From everything I've been reading since the announcement, it DOES in fact appear to be a licensing issue. MGM holds the rights to the first film, while Universal holds the rights for the rest of the films. Either Arrow couldn't secure a licensing deal at all for the first film, or a deal wasn't done in time. 

So the first film will indeed be 1080p bluray. Some people believe it's a typo, but it isnt.

That art looks pretty sick. I'd definitely be interested in a GB offering as well.

They have already announced that this will be exclusive to Walmart or Walmart.com, and pre-orders are expected to go live around 9/18.

Yeah, I've been noticing that a ton of these "Walmart exclusives" have been only for the standard 1080 blu-ray. And Best Buy always gets the exclusive 4K releases. Seems we always have to double-dip if we want both the 4k and cool artwork. Which is also totally fine if the movie is right lol.

Think I'll be picking up this one as well!

I have considered that, and if the cover artwork was different on both editions, I definitely would just pick up them both. But I see no reason for both when the only difference is the color scheme. But my ego still can't get past the "Arrow Store Exclusive" status...😂

I'm so conflicted with this release.

I want the "Arrow Store Exclusive" status just because, but I don't like the fact they chose to go with exactly the same color scheme and design as Tremors 1. Maybe they were thinking continuity, but for me personally, that would just confuse me looking at them on the shelf side by side. 

I actually prefer the green Limited Edition slipcase..but it's not "exclusive" lol.

The truth is that I prefer to buy through a GB whenever I can, but when it has not been possible, I try not to bother the staff or you too much. I did it few times, but you are not to blame for people's circumstances , and if you had to manage for everyone who was late for a GB or left without a copy, it would drive you crazy. That's the fact.

 

The best solution, obviously, is to come here a lot of times and try not to be late for any GB. That's the best advice I can give to any Psycho. 👈
And if you can have a membership, all the better. Otherwise, you can also lose them. Be sure.

 

As about Rarofilm... I'm a guy with patience, and I understand that nowadays the market has a lot more difficulties than before, more than people usually think...., that's why I don't mind waiting, and I respect that sometimes someone needs more time, or has to face unforeseen difficulties and spend their time managing for it. These things happen. I know it. 

 

But, at the same time, maybe I'm an old school man, and I try to always respect my commitments, I like people who respect their word. 
And I value gestures very much, in the small details you can see who you do business with, who you are with; in any environment of life.

 

And I believe that any supplier, retailer, or collaborator, in any business, all of them.... can have problems, of course, and they can have delays, absolutely; but.... if you have a business the first thing you must do is to keep the parties informed, everytthing clear in every moment, and secondly, take care of people that trusted you.

 

This is my general vision.

 

Let's see how it ends.

And to add to everybody else's well-wishes, I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with Raro. When I missed out on the Nightmare on Elm Street GB, I tried to purchase directly from Raro. And since you have to email them for shipments outside of Italy, I went through a little bit of what you experienced as far as getting the cold shoulder and no response from them. They never responded to anything I sent them. Bu then I heard about the less-than-stellar quality of the edition, and I didn't feel so bad 😂

Sincerely hope you get everything squared away with them!
