  1. Two sequels have won Best Picture. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King Godfather 2
  2. Thanks @Trianna and @extantsrevenge for the Week 8 Challenge! Challenge #8 from @Trianna Somewhere over the rainbow~ Here is my palette of colors: I really only picked these for the colors - though my copy of Her is a rare one. 1. Ash vs. Evil Dead Season 3 (I have a ton more red spines, but I thought this was unique). 2. Hercules 3. The Full Monty 4. Road to Perdition 5. Mission Impossible 3 6. Aladdin 7. Her
  3. @extantsrevenge and @R1s1ngs0n here is a make-up for Week 2 Challenge: My favorite premium editions are as follows: 1. Manta Lab 1-Click Steelbook Fight Club: The first rule of Media Psychos is you must own this one click. The second rule of Media Psychos is… The pink slip case resembling soap is just perfect! It’s the best - no doubt. It’s also quite the collectable. 2. WeeT 1-click Steelbook Antman and Wasp: The design of of this is possibly the best designed 1-click. Love or hate the movie, it’s a great design and great shout out to the movie. 3. HDZeta 1-click Steelbook Sucker Punch: I’m not a fan of Zack Snyder, but I did like some of his early work. I really love the look of this 1-click, and the movie is better than most give it credit. 4. Steelarchive Steelbook Spring: I wish that I could say that I was an early fan of Benson and Moorhead, but I discovered them late, and I paid a bundle to buy this from someone on MP. I love having this due to how hard it is to find and that it’s by two of my favorite up and coming directors. 5. Blufans 1-click Steelbook The Dark Knight: My favorite director? Check. The best superhero movie? Check. My favorite premium Steelbook company? Check. One of the best performances in modern cinema? Check. I love Blufans, Nolan and this movie. Why wouldn’t it make my top 5?
  4. @extantsrevenge Here is a make up from Week 1. It’s my favorite Lenticular edition. It’s KimChiDVD’s Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I love that the effect had Clementine fading out laying next to Joel. It’s a genius effect. My favorite lenticular is one that changes images. Here are another 2:
  5. Thanks @Fortis93! I’ll start with the most recent challenge: Week 23: Genre Bending My favorite genre is Drama/Oscar Contenders. Every year, my wife and I see all the Best Picture nominees in the theater, as well as most of the major categories. We get excited for The Oscars and watch with friends. My top 5 are as follows: 1. Inception: this is my favorite movie of all time. I adore the tragic love story and the mystery that the end leaves us with. 2. Raiders of the Lost Ark: Okay - technically, this is Action/Adventure. But isn’t it much more? It’s drama, romance, comedy - really an everything movie. Most importantly, it’s my 2nd favorite movie of all time. It sat a top of my favorites list for 30 years. 3. Shawshank Redemption: Get busy livin’ or get busy dyin’. But make sure you watch this movie before your dyin’ days. 4. Schindler’s List: this really is a masterpiece, and Spielberg has made many - two in my top five. 5. The Hurt Locker: This movie is in my top 20, and it’s the very next Best Picture contender on my list. 6. Lord of the Rings: I know this is a trilogy. I know this is a fantasy/adventure, but at the heart of this movie, it’s a drama of the struggle of nature vs. industry, kindness vs. power, good vs. evil. Plus it’s a bonus entry.
  6. Week 21 Challenge: Love is in the Air I thought that I’d go with some of the most tragic love stories that I own: 1. Moulin Rouge - Blufans Steelbook 2. Life is Beautful - Korean with Full Slip cover 3. Casablanca - Zavvi 80th Anniversary Steelbook with Full Slip cover 4. The Shape of Water - Manta Lab Steelbook with Full Slip cover 5. Romeo and Juliet - Blufans 1/4 slip Steelbook 6. Captain America (Steve and Peggy) - Blufans Lenticular Slip cover 7. Blu Valentine - Zavvi Steelbook
  7. Week 20: This was tough. I did include some questionable things - concert films: The top two are: 1. The entire Live Aid concert is a great box set. A Blu-Ray release would go a long way in sound quality of this. 2. Ben Folds Five: Live at MySpace - Ben is one of my favorite artists and I wish he had more on Blu-Ray. 3. The Ten - this movie has most of the cast of MTV’s The State comedy troop. The rest of the cast is phenomenal, including Paul Rudd, Jessica Alba, Winona Rider, Lieb Schreiber, Jason Sudeikis, Justin Theroux, Oliver Platt, Janeane Garofalo, Rob Corddry, and Bobby Cannavale. It’s one of the lowest brow funny movies I’ve ever seen. 4. Nurse Betty - I love Morgan Freeman, and this role is such a good performance by him. 5. Next Avengers - I must have watched this 100 times with my son when he was young. 6. Nothing But the Truth - I attended a Roger Ebert movie festival, and this movie played. It was a fascinating story about Freedom of the Press. The director/writer gave a Q&A after. 7. Dogma - so it is on Blu-ray, but it’s out of print and nearly impossible to get. Copies are on ebay for over a $100. Chances are it will never be rereleased due to it being a Weinstein Company film. I’d love special treatment of the following: 1. 12 Angry Men - this is a timeless classic that stands up today. It really should have a Steelbook. 2. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - this movie landed RDJ the Ironman role. This movie is in my top 50 favorite easily - maybe top 20. 3. Office Space - this cult classic really needs a Steelbook treatment (as does Idiocracy). 4. Dragon Tattoo Trilogy - these movies are the definition of what should have a Steelbook treatment. 5. Jojo Rabbit & What We Do in the Shadows - what can I say? Taika Waititi should have more of his catalog on Steel. 6. The Artist - I would like to see all Beat Picture winners on Steelbook. 7. 42 - Chadwick Boseman’s portrayal of Jackie Robinson seems like the right equation for a Steelbook release.
  8. @extantsrevenge remember that the qualifier in my post was best of movies which I own in my collection.
  9. Weekly Challenge 19: Through the Decades Thank you @lunazerofor your submission. I’ve carefully selected the best movie from each decade which I currently own. The only movie which I do not have in my collection which I consider the best of a decade is 2001: A Space Odyssey from the 1960s. In its absence, I selected To Kill a Mockingbird. Otherwise, I own every movie which I consider to be the best of its decade. 1930s: The Wizard of Oz - (Futureshop Steelbook) 1939 1940s: It’s a Wonderful Life (Steelbook) - 1946 1950s: Singin’ in the Rain (Zavvi Steelbook) - 1952 1960s: To Kill a Mockingbird (Steelbook) - 1962 1970s: Monty Python and the Holy Grail (Zavvi Steelbook) - 1975 1980s: Raiders of the Lost Ark (Zavvi Steelbook) - 1981 1990s: Shawshank Redemption (HDZeta & Blufans) - 1994 2000s: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (KimChiDVD Steelbook) - 2004 2010s: Inception (Futureshop Steelbook) - 2010 2020s: Everything Everywhere All at Once (yet to own) - 2022 I’d like to think that every genre is covered here: Family, Holiday, Musical, Drama, Comedy/Parody, Action/Adventure, Buddy Film, Romance, Science Fiction - let me know what you think?
  10. Ok - here we go! 1. Doctor Who: I have some fun things. First off, I didn’t want to use TV shows in case they were against the rules, so luckily I happen to own the 1965 film version, Dr. Who and the Daleks. Regardless, I have a ton of Doctor Who merch. Fortunately the TARDIS spans both film and television. Below you’ll find a variety of TARDIS collectables - all gifted to me by my wife. In addition, you’ll see some VERY rare Doctor Who Funko Pop of Doctors from the television show. Copies of both my Dr. Who and the Daleks Steelbooks are below - as well as my complete Steelbook collection of the entire series from 2004 to present. It’s my most cherished Steelbook set. 2. Marvel’s The Avengers: This isn’t to show of my Steelbook (Blufans) as much as it is to show off my LEGO Helicarrier. The Blufans Mondo is below: 3. Spider-man: No Way Home: I actually have Funko Pop from every MCU Spider-man movie and more. What started as a collection of only Peter Parker or unmasked Spidey has grown into nearly all Spider-Man Pop figures from all his MCU appearances. Included are many Chase pieces. I also have a very rare black and white Fugitive Toys Exclusive of the original Spider-man Funko Pop. Also notice my modest Wolverine collection, as well as my complete Goose/Flerken collection. Paired with my black and white Pop is the Blufans Collectors Steelbook. 4. Back the Future: SAVE THE CLOCK TOWER! These movie moment Funko were amazing - Marty with the Delorean and Doc at the Clock Tower. I lucked into the Delorean for retail well after release and it has sense exploded in value. I ordered the Clock Tower on its opening Prerelease day, and I waited over 2 years for it to get to me. The Steelbook is the Target trilogy release: 5. Raiders of the Lost Ark & Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom: I won’t lie. I paid a pretty penny for these two exceptionally rare Funko Pop. The Raiders is a San Diego Comic Con exclusive (I also have exclusives from SDCC - Twelfth Doctor in Spacesuit, Thirteenth Doctor in Trench Coat, Ted Lasso, and Taika Waititi). The Temple of Doom is a Disney Park exclusive. Included are the UK/Zavvi Steelbooks. 6. Up and 42: Extra Credit are another set of Pops and a McFarlane baseball statue. I have every Funko Pop of Carl and Ellie (together) released, as well as the house. They’re fun sets. I also have the black and white Chase statue of Jackie Robinson. Up is the Blufans premium, and 42 is an amaray in a slipcase from Best Buy.
  11. My top 10 movies: 1. Inception (HDZeta Lenticular) 2. Raiders of the Lost Ark (Zavvi) 3. Shawshank Redemption (Blufans) 4. Seven (Manta Lab) 5. Blade Runner (HDZeta Double Lenticular) 6. Back to the Future (Target Trilogy Steelbook) 7. The Dark Knight (Blufans 1-Click) 8. Shakespeare in Love (Do Not Own) 9. The Big Lebowski (Pop Art Steelbook) 10. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (KimChiDVD)
  12. @Hollywood E Rock we came into this year’s Secret Santa late and without a pairing, but I really am glad that we did! Getting to know you has been a joy and great fun. Thanks for taking the time to get to know me. You really captured my love of games, movies, comics and collectables. I’m grateful for your generosity. Merry Christmas!!
  13. Here are mine: Die Hard Die Hard 2 Krampus Lethal Weapon Scrooges The Holy Trilogy of Christmas movies are Die Hard, Lethal Weapon and Gremlins (which I also have).
  14. It’s so much more. It’s a buddy road show. It’s a comedy. It may have the best meta of itself that I’ve ever seen
  15. Peter Davison was my first, but I really watched a lot of Tom Baker in the late Eighties.
  16. In accordance with the rules, I'll post my five favorite television shows of all time - with a little extra. Here goes. 1) To date, nothing touches the great years of The West Wing. For years, I said, "I wish that we lived in Jed (Josiah) Barlet's America." The show was some of the best writing that you'll see in any media - not to mention from Aaron Sorkin. The cast is marvelous and kept it together when Sorkin departed. I would also love to see this in a premium treatment - much less bluray. 2) When I used to cohost my radio show on pop culture, I used to say that I squee'd like a teen-aged girl in the Fall and a new season of Supernatural was about to come out. The Winchesters are my favorite on screen duo and - perhaps - the best. That it was on WB/CW made it somehow better than if it has been hampered by the big networks. It's also a testament to the show, it's fans and Jared and Jensen that it lasted 15 years. To date, episode 15 from season 6, The French Mistake, is the single greatest episode of television. I implore you to watch this. You do not need to have watched the rest of the series to appreciate it - though you should. I would love a Steelbook treatment of this show. 3) S/he's not Doctor Who. S/he's The Doctor, and for good reason. No one has saved the universe and earth in television history than The Doctor. My love for the show began in the Eighties when I was turned on to the show by a high school friend. When Russell T. Davies relaunched the show, I was excited and jumped from the start. I often struggle at justifying this 50 year old+ show so low on my ranking list. It will be #1 on many others' lists I'm sure. During the Tenant and Smith years, I find it hard pressed to find better seasons of television (though Supernatural 5, West Wing 2 and Breaking Bad F are close). Though The French Mistake from Supernatural is my favorite single episode of all time of any television show, Doctor Who hold 3 of my top 5. The Doctor's Wife, Listen and Silence in the Library all are in my top 5 for a Tenant, Smith, Capaldi trifecta. My phone case is a TARDIS, and everyone tells me they love that show when they see it (clerks, servers, etc.). The question that must be asked at that point is: Who's your favorite Doctor? One of my most prized possessions is the complete series in Steelbook - each and everyone ordered from the UK. 4) Is there a greater line delivered in television history than, "I am the danger!" I believe it's hard pressed to find. I was immediately taken with Bryan Cranston's Walter White from the pilot episode. Unlike other shows, this one had no down time. There was no dud of a season. There were no bad episodes. In fact, I would go so far as to say that the Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul series are the bet one-two punch in television. I adore my Zavvi Steelbooks, but I do regret not buying the set of the complete series which came in a toxic waste drum. 5) I'd be remiss if I didn't include the Star Trek Universe on my list. Collectively, I've enjoyed more hours of television watching Star Trek: TOS, Star Trek: Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Enterprise, Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds; as well as the movies from TOS, TNG and JJA. Mr. Spock and Captain Kirk are third on my list of on-screen duos (JD and Turk being #2). The Star Trek Universe is so rich and imaginative. I chuckle today at the things we use that are directly from Star Trek "science fiction." I love having TOS, Discovery and Picard in Steelbook. I'd love for other series to come out in Steelbook as well. Check out my fun Enterprise set. Those are the top five. Other honorable mentions are: Sherlock, Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, Loki, Justified, Agent Carter, The X-Files, Game of Thrones (though what a BAD last season) and The Gilmore Girls (my wife's favorite show).
  17. How shall we go about finding someone to partner up with if we missed the initial notice? Is there a thread? I’d be interested in participating again.
  18. I accidentally hit the post button twice - and had to edit my 2nd response.
  19. My handle comes from my love of Indiana Jones movies - specifically Raiders of the Lost Ark. I’d love a really nice Premium Set to come out. The funny thing is that since I created this account, one movie has taken the top rank on my #1 favorite movie - which used to be Raiders… S - Spider-Man 2 - my favorite comic book movie of all time - Have the Lenticular WeeT T - The Terminator - this movie ranks as a 10/10 stars. I love T2 as well. At the time that I bought this, the Japanese import was the most sought after Steelbook. E - Empire of the Sun - great movie, best picture winner, Christian Bale’s first movie, and a Zavvi release. E - Evil Dead 2 - a masterpiece of the horror comedy mash-up. Bruce Campbell may be the greatest living B actor, and this Rami “sequel” to Evil Dead is a movie that Roger Ebert gave 4 stars to in his review. It’s another Zavvi release. L - Logan - a top 5 favorite comic book movie (3 OC my favorites make this challenge, I could have included Thor: Ragnarok). This may be the best written comic book movie though. This is Manta Lab’s deluxe edition. B - Batman Begins - Nolan is my favorite director of all time. I saw Memento in the theater and haven’t missed seeing one of his in theaters since. This is Blufans Double Lenticular. My favorite Premium company is Blufans. I could also put my favorite SciFi movie of all time here - Blade Runner. O - Oldboy - It was so weird and ahead of it’s time. It’s shock value is and quality are every bit as good as Squid Game or other Asian imports. This is my Plain Archive Full Slip. O - Once Upon a Time in Hollywood - Tarantino’s ride is a fun one, and the train wreck of the Manson murders is a crazy ending. It’s homage to 1960s LA is great. This is my double Lenticular Fanatics Selection. K - The King’s Speech - I love this character piece. I love the acting, and I love the story. This is a a Viva metal box. There weren’t many Viva titles made. It was a must own for me though. I - Inception - It’s my favorite movie ever. Raiders is my 2nd. Shawshank Redemption is my 3rd. This is an HDZeta that I bought through MP. N - Nightmare Before Christmas - I didn’t have a lot of ‘N’ movies to choose from, but this is a solid 10/10 movie and a Halloween/Christmas classic. It’s the Zavvi release. D - The Dark Knight is my 2nd favorite comic book movie, my second favorite Christopher Nolan movie and my favorite Batman movie. This Blufans double Lenti was a must own. I also have the 1-click coming - just like Batman Begins. Y - Young Frankenstein - Is there a better movie that begins with ‘Y’ - maybe Yokimbo? This Oscar nominated screenplay may be Mel Brooks’ (and Gene Wilder’s) best work. This “Comic Con” Zavvi release is a gem of a find.
  20. For the most part, I do not open my collectibles. Yep. I’m THAT guy. Here are some of my favorites.
  21. Has everyone selected prizes yet - and If our donation was not selected, is this over?
