The grail has been completed!!! After months of collecting pieces, I finally have The Dark Knight Trilogy Motherbox set! This was one of the reasons I wanted to get into premiums to begin with. I never thought I’d get it.

Thanks to @extantsrevenge for helping me in the End of Year Sale. And HUGE thanks to @Masterblaster for getting me the OCs with the Motherbox!!! 🙏 It was really incredible of you to include them!!! Thanks for making a Collector/Batman Fanatic’s dream a reality! 🦇 
 

Now I just need to work on shelving when I start moving into my house next week!

Guys…I’m almost at the finish line!!! I think the house appraised at the EXACT figure we wanted!!! The journey is almost over!!!

Since I’m trying to collect all of Christopher Nolan’s premiums and/or steelbooks, I knew I needed to figure out what to do with Following since I know it will most likely never get a steelbook release.
 

Fortunately, I was able to get it commissioned via Alberto Varrona. He does gorgeous work! Here’s the finished product.

Hello fellow psychos! It’s been a minute since I’ve been on here. House hunting has kept me super busy as of late. But we are possibly finalizing on one in a week and a half or so. Did the home inspection. Approved for the mortgage from underwriter. It really comes down to our appraisal. If it hits in our ballpark we have ourselves a new home! Can’t wait for all of this to be over. It’s been exhausting. Miss the calm days of just focusing on premiums and my empty wallet. 😈😂💸 Hope everyone is well. Can’t wait for the Easter Hunt! 👍🏻

Just signed a counter-offer and I’m in escrow for a house!!! Assuming nothing crazy happens with the appraisal, I might be in the clear. 🙏 Just being cautiously optimistic at this point. If it appraises at or around my offer amount, I’m all good to go. If something funky happens and it appraises to low, I’d need to back out. Wish me luck everyone! Hope everyone is well! Still house hunting. Talking to a construction agency as an option as it’s been so crazy. But if nothing pops up in the next month I just may sit around and save more. Hope to be back on MP more consistently soon.

I think it's as @Veum stated. It may be a cultural thing. But a "roast" to us means, in an odd and peculiar way, that you have enough rapport and respect for the person that you're fine with them just talking crap to you. You can't just help laugh at yourself.

As for just random comedians doing it (again, in a peculiar way), it's almost like a shout out. I'm sure Chris Rock has nothing but respect for Jada and Will. But that respect means he can still talk crap and shout out to them all at the same time. This was a bit sensitive though due to her medical condition. But when you're a public figure, you have to be open to that happening. I've seen so many roasts on Comedy Central where things that were said were much, much "worse", but everyone still laughs at the end of the day. 

It's really about the beauty about being able to make fun of one another and still maintain love and respect for one another. That's the essence of roasting. It's an odd dichotomy or paradox, but that's how we see it lol. I can see how others can view it differently though! No one is wrong. Definitely subjective.
