I have heard rumblings of a possible German release...
which might be a blessing. This release is by Seven7- and a member over at BR.com testifies that Seven7's 4K release of EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE had forced French subs.

All those who bought their mammoth editions must be gutted, but as I ‘only’ bought Goodfellas and Scarface , I’m more than happy to get them in this ideal packaging, along with Jaws when the second wave is announced.
But, we got a crystal paperweight with those! Lol.

Hello,
News for Cinemuseum the release ?
it's starting to get long 😌 !!
Johan
Compared to the 4+ years waiting for for 89 BATMAN order?

Ditto. Waiting not a big deal. And their editions are always fantastic.

German release of an Indonesian film. Probably no English subs.
looks nice though. Maybe do a Frankenstein and put the u.s. steelbook in there.😏

I think $70 (with shipping total) is overpriced. You can get two or three arrows for that.

Are they only going to make this available on their site?

The variant is not available yet in our GB so you would need to wait.
If we join the GB now - will it be possible to swap the order with variant box later if we wanted to get that one instead? (Want to be safely on the GB list now)

They were done this way. Blu ray editions were OC, and singles - 4Ks were singles only no OC

Only problem w physical media is space requirements. I wish I could buy only physical, but I have run out of space. I inherited my dads collection and that combined w mine i have 9k+ dvd/blus. Im only buying steelbooks now, everything else including game’s is digital… i guess, unless i get a bigger place sometime ha
Have you done an audit? Like getting rid of movies that you have across multiple formats?
Space will always be an issue. At some point, I know I will have to face the issue of having so many copies of single films. (Like, in heyday of Marvel when EVERY premium label put out their version).

I think a good portion of that increase is due to the announcement that some stores would not be carrying physical media next year. I know I have spent considerably more than normal picking up some extra movies since then. Same for some others I share this addiction with.
I do prefer to actually own the disk and will continue to buy whatever physical media I can going forward.
Thing is- Bricks and Mortar stores haven't been a player in a long time.
I looked over my collection and out of roughly 4000 discs purchased in the last 10 years- only about 120 have come from Best Buy, Walmart and Target.- 3

I wouldn't be so backlogged with movies to watch if I could just be a casual viewer.....but I can't do that.
I can't 'casually' watch a film.
The TV must be calibrated properly, the sound set up correctly, the lights dimmed....WE ARE WATCHING A FILM.
...and I want the BEST possible viewing experience- seeing the movie the best it can be.
SURROUND SOUND, COLOR AND CONTRAST BALANCED, 100mbps Bitrate from a DISC.It gets 100% of my attention. And hopefully I am swept away.
None of this 'watching out of the corner of my eye while I do chores' sh*t!
The 2K and 4K blu ray disc is only way to get a close approximation of seeing a movie in a theater.
(and with some of our HTS, better than the local theater!)

Physical media rules. Sad it is dying.
It isn't. It's all misinformation. Sure, some brick and mortar retailers are not stocking physical media- but that's not hugely relevant.
The Chicken Littles online love proclaiming "Physical media is dead!", yet.....
2023 is the BIGGEST year in the history of physical media.
*At its peak- DVD/Blu ray sales were 16K per year.
Sales slowed when streaming was introduced.
During the pandemic it went back up to 16K
Last year it was at 22K.
The first 5 months of this year did 13K, on track for over 26K.

Imo, buying digital movies is like buying NFTs. You aren't buying anything tangible. You are buying a promise from a stranger.

If I remember correctly, (and this is going back to 2020😆) they were only offering 250 copies of each.

These will be like CMA THE SHINING. Highly sought after, and expensive as hell if they ever end up on the secondary market.

Still waiting on a premium for this.

are we buying these colletion items for the disc though? I am sure you can easily get the 4k disc for 10$
Yeah, the disc is the easiest part to aquire. Obviously-it would be preferred to have a 4K disc. But sometimes they (for various reasons) they cannot do 4K discs or discs at all.
Myself, I'm a little more annoyed by discless than no 4k. (Discless packages should be much cheaper for lack of discs, in my opinion).
But, I do disc swaps all the time for 2k steelbooks I don't want to double dip on just for 4k disc. You can either get the (cheaper) amaray to get the 4k disc, or see if anyone has a "4k disc only" on ebay. (When titles get released in a package that is 4k+blu ray (no solo blu ray-only option), there are many folks who are just getting it for the blu ray and have no need for the 4k disc and sell it on ebay).

I agree regarding devils advocate and nightmare, but Black Adam was much much better and far more premium in finish. I’m optimistic. Plus EWS has no 4K release yet anyway.
I hope that they are getting better. Like I said- I like what they are trying to acieve with their releases. They just need to get a handle on Quality Control. ...And actually do a bit more than putting off-the shelf amarays into a custom slip. (Whenever I see lots of bric-a-brac with a release (mini film cans, framed pictures, etc.) I always see that as a misdirection to hide the fact that they can't make it more premium beyond the custom slip. I mean, even if your stuck with off the shelf amarays- maybe mix in a reversible amaray sleeve insert?!
