I open them all, although unfortunately sometimes you regret it after you see the shape the steelbook comes in. That plastic inner case for holding the pins can add some serious scratches to the steelbook, and every now and then you end up with pin marks as the pin gets loose during transit. You are probably the smart one leaving them sealed.

Goldeneye as well? 😪 That is in my top 5 Bond movies, probably because of Goldeneye N64.

That is true never even thought about the quality of these movies, definitely not the cream of the crop of Bond releases. Agree Spy Who Loved Me definitely best out of these. I do enjoy the Timothy Dalton ones as well. Enjoy World Is Not Enough as well. Know it is not a good movie, but to me it is Pierce's 2nd best and is just fun action.

Yeah the WeET WWA one click basically just means you get the same numbers for each edition, and those are usually the lower numbers as the first certain amount of numbers are only available in the OC set. I agree it is confusing, and the first time I ordered a WeET WWA OC I had the same question, and it took some research to realize what they meant when it said OC. As others said the WWA OC do not come inside a special box as the WEA OC ones do. So yeah the NWH one also did not have a box.

Technically, if they said Friday, it still could happen, especially if they didn't mention what Friday. Never know could be this Friday, next Friday, or Friday in a few months. If it wasn't mentioned the exact date, you never know what Friday it will be sent on. 😆

Unfortunately, you bring up a good point. TOC are known for building up anticipation and then crushing it with disappointment. The back art can't be as bad as the Bond steelbook backs ...can it? 🤔

I am one of the ? on the FAC group buy, so I will probably miss that one too, but involuntary in my case. Not sure picking up the TOC would make up for that, but it still does look very nice and I do like the steelbook better than the WWA matte one. Hopefully the finish looks good as well.

Hillarious that 80% of the posts on this thread are not related to The Lost Boys 😄. Maybe this should just be called the CM miscellaneous thread. Just kidding. Thank goodness for the moderators. Once again The Lost Boys CM release looks like a very nice release from CM with gorgeous artwork!

Good luck with this. Hopefully they will re-release it at another retailer, and sorry that yours ended up lost from Zavvi. It was an expensive release from Zavvi alone (I think It ended up being 50-60 dollars as a preorder). So weird that FNAC and Germany got the other steelbooks and only Zavvi had The Thing. My money is on Studio Canal re-releasing this at other retailers in the future, as it will definitely sell.

You bring up another issue with ordering from Zavvi. Has only happened once to me so far, but there was one purchase that got lost in the mail. Still another thing that happened to me a couple times is that an order was placed, was never sent, and then I got an email stating it was out of stock and couldn't be sent. The wonders of ordering from Zavvi.

Thanks for the info. Fortunately, it was one of the less sought after releases, but customers do expect better in the future. The creativity and designs for Cinemuseum are fantastic, but if a customer pays good money for a CM release it is expected there will be no errors in the wording or other printing errors when the final product is sent. Hopefully, they can make up for it in the future by releasing amazing editions without errors.

Thanks, agree usually. Although I have had more TOC releases arrive damaged from FNAC than Zavvi, and Zavvi has sent free replacements in the past. Unfortunately, that is only when Zavvi have stock available. Most of the TOC ones at Zavvi are sold out by the time my order is received. So far best option has been DVD-store.it, but you have to make a pretty large purchase to make the shipping cost worthwhile. The FNAC The Thing TOC was available for preorder for a few days at FNAC before now saying sold out.

This one looks awesome! Hopefully the back design is great as well. Either way one of the best looking TOC releases so far. Now better question is where to buy to receive an undamaged copy ... 2nd question is when this will be available to prerorder? FNAC already seems to have sold out so far.

Another empty back smh. I forgot if it was @C.C. 95 who mentioned spine magnets but not a bad idea. FYI the cheapest these are available is at FNAC. Although not sure what kind of shape they will arrive in when all 9 or 10 are shipped together in a box with no wrapping surrounding them. They are also available from Cede.com (more expensive but each sent in its own cardboard mailer if purchased separately and usually arrive safe), Amazon italy (no experience with), and I reached out and my favorite retailer DVD-Store.IT also will have these. I plan to purchase there once they list them, as their shipping is topnotch. Does cost more for shipping, however, so not the cheapest option. Zavvi likely is one of the most expensive (they used to send each individually but now I have heard they send steelbooks in the same order together in a box, butbm who knows). Either way many options if wanting to purchase these.

Any news on invoicing for these? Seems like last message from Collectong said they thought full slip would ship close to release date and OC couple weeks after. Haven't seen any invoices yet and with all the clubs and notifications just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything. Sorry just realized this should have been on group buy thread. Woops

Best Buy has this as well on preorder for $14.99. Nice to add to other purchases to reach the cutoff for free shipping.
