Hab erst 21 Filmarena Editionen (inklusive Black Baron wohlgemerkt) ...

Von Casino und King Kong bin ich kein so ein Fan, dass ich ein Premium davon bräuchte 😅 Gladiator steht noch auf der Liste, aber da muss ein Schnapper her. 😂

Oh damn son, that T1 is on my list for a long time now - someday will be the day 😉

Psycho (Everythingblu): Although I've watched a few more older films in the past year, Psycho somehow never found its way into my drive. That changed a few weeks ago and, what can I say? Rightly an absolute classic, extremely atmospheric and greatly aged. Something like this has to be part of my collection, so I'm glad that I got a hold of the fantastic Everythingblu release. At the same time, this is my first edition from the retailer and it really packs a punch. The slip is bursting with details, which is already clear even though it’s still sealed. Every single drop of water seems to be embossed/spot glossed. The title lettering on the front and the spine seem to have been given a glazed liquid effect. The edition also includes a poster roll and a velvet pouch with other extras. How cool the edition really is, will probably only be revealed to me when I unpack it. But my first impression is: Respect, Everythingblu!

Psycho (Everythingblu): Obwohl ich gerade im letzten Jahr mal wieder ein paar mehr ältere Filme geschaut habe, hat Psycho irgendwie nie den Weg ins Laufwerk bei mir gefunden. Das hat sich vor einigen Wochen allerdings geändert und, was soll ich sagen? Zurecht ein absoluter Klassiker, der extrem atmosphärisch und super gealtert ist. Sowas muss im die Sammlung, daher bin ich froh, nun den fantastischen Everythingblu-Release ergattert zu haben. Gleichzeitig ist das meine erste Edition von dem Retailer und die hat’s wirklich in sich. Der Slip strotzt nur so vor Details, das wird schon durch die Folie klar. Jeder einzelne Wassertropfen scheint geprägt/mit Spotgloss versehen zu sein. Die Titel-Schriftzüge auf der Front und am Spine haben offenbar einen glasierten Flüssig-Effekt verpasst bekommen. Dazu gehören zur Edition ja auch noch eine Posterrolle und ein Samtbeutelchen mit weiteren Extras. Wie cool die Edition wirklich ist, wird sich mir wohl erst beim Auspacken gänzlich erschließen. Aber mein erster Eindruck ist: Respekt, Everythingblu!

For my part, I don't give a flying rats sh*t about, what limitation numbers my editions have Some other members might, but it's just not of any concern for me. For this reason, an according award in this direction would surely be one I would never achieve and wouldn't even try.

Bohemian Rhapsody (Filmarena): After being lucky enough to get the Cinemuseum edition through the MP Sale, I had actually already crossed Bohemian Rhapsody off my Premium list. However, after the arrival of the CM Edition I was quite disillusioned. The artwork choices are great, but the quality of the lenti doesn't blow me away. Especially since the goodies aren’t anything special as well. Therefore, Bo-Rhap moved quite quickly back to my wish list - this time, however, the FAC. And as luck would have it again, I was able to get hold of one for a good price. I haven't unpacked it yet, since I only recently watched the movie again. Surely I will want to throw in the 4K again in some time, then I will also free the FAC from its seal.

Bohemian Rhapsody (Filmarena): Nachdem ich zuletzt das Glück hatte, durch den MP Sale die Cinemuseum-Edition zu bekommen, hatte ich Bohemian Rhapsody eigentlich schon von meiner Premium-Liste gestrichen. Allerdings war ich nach Ankunft der CM Edition dann doch recht ernüchtert. Die Artworks sind zwar super gewählt, allerdings haut mich das Lenti qualitativ absolut nicht vom Hocker. Zumal auch die Goodies nur bessere Standardware sind. Daher wanderte Bo-Rhap doch recht schnell wieder auf meine Wunschliste - diesmal allerdings das FAC. Und wie es der Zufall erneut will, habe ich recht schnell schon eines für einen guten Kurs ergattern können. Ausgepackt habe ich es noch nicht, da ich den Film erst kürzlich wieder geschaut habe. Sicherlich werde ich in geraumer Zeit aber nochmal die 4K einwerfen wollen, dann werde ich auch das FAC von seiner Folie befreien.

No worries my friend, you’re no small collector by any means! It’s not about the size of a collection - in my opinion a well sorted and specifically put together collection, where every edition/movie has true value and meaning for the owner, is far more valuable. If you collect just to aquire as much as possible or to have a set from retailer X complete, every new edition just becomes „the next thing“ on a list to work off. If that’s the case and the editions/movies themselves don’t matter at all, you could just as well collect rocks or gold coins or whatever. 😉
