Tom Berenger, Jeff Daniels and Martin Sheen star in this historical US war drama centred on the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863. As the Confederate Army of North Virginia, under the command of Robert E. Lee (Sheen), gathers near the town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Lt. Gen. James Longstreet (Berenger) receives intelligence that the Union Army of the Potomac is advancing towards their position. The film chronicles the ensuing three-day battle between the Union and Confederate forces as both sides try to rally their troops to victory in one of the most decisive battles of the American Civil War. The cast also includes Kevin Conway, Richard Jordan and Royce D. Applegate.

I havent watched this in quite a while but I thoroughly enjoyed it last time.  Maybe the next rainy day i will pop it in.  Wish Gods and Generals was as good as this
