The Movies That Made Us - on Netflix

There’s a show that’s been on Netflix for 3 seasons which chronicles timeless, blockbuster movies’ behind-the-scenes secrets and unknown tidbits.  In season one, the series featured Die Hard, Dirty Dancing, Ghostbusters and Home Alone.  I’d highly recommend it to anyone who loves these movies.  You’ll find out tough decisions which were made (e.g. budget, casting and production decisions), and be filled with nostalgia while reliving some of those cinematic moments.  Start with Die Hard - it’s a blast.  
 

Season 2 will be fun with focus on movies such as Forrest Gump, Back to the Future, Pretty Woman and Jurassic Park.  

Season 3 has a horror flavor with Halloween, Aliens, A Nightmare on Elm St., Friday the 13th and other non-horror movies - Elf and Coming to America.
 

I found myself Jonesing for the Dirty Dancing Steelbook after watching that episode and wondering why I don’t own Home Alone on Steelbook.  It’s a blast.  Check it out and enjoy!
