@Fortis93 oh!!! He doesn’t make up his own design for you on the steel(s) you want also? 🤔

He comes up with his own design as well if you don't have any in mind. Here are some examples of steelbook with designs he created himself

Man just look at those embossed titles they are beautiful. Alternatively you can send him your artwork of choice and he'll do it for you

I'm hyped for what's he going to do next with Demolition Man.

I was talking to him about it before and he has these really cool ideas for it.

Yeah that and Dawn of the Dead are what I'm looking forward too. I joined the group right after Bloodsport ended and I'm pretty pissed not being able to get it 😭 such a bummer that he does everything by himself hence the extremely limited print run. Imagine if he has an entire team...

Is your friend from Australia too? Because then it's over for me. That's going to be too much postage. Thanks but.

I just double checked with him and turns out he has an IG account, here it is: https://instagram.com/astrocreations_13?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

Regarding the postage cost, he's in UK and the cost is pretty reasonable for him to ship things to Australia. Not sure how much of the difference is it to Germany but you can reach out to him and maybe he can work out something for you.

You order The Lost Boys release from him? That one's a beauty.

I didn't unfortunately because I never watched the movie but boy does it look stunning. It definitely beats the F out of what Cinemuseum produces. The mini figure that comes with it is such a cherry on top also 🍒

  5. The Irishman custom steelbook made by a friend of mine, who specialises in customising steelbooks. Just wanted to post it here as a special shout out for him because the quality of his work is just out of this world. If you can see this Dan, big thanks to you for making my day 😁

Steelbook arrived with no discs and since we never got to have an official steelbook for this film, I bought a Criterion release separately and put the discs in. They go really well with this steelbook:

As a big fan of Martin Scorsese films, this really made my day and I could not be any more happier. If you're like me seeing your favourite movies never received an official steelbook release they deserve then my friend Dan is here for the rescue. He does all sort of custom things like slipcovers, lenticular magnet and spine etc. He has a Facebook group called Astro Creations and I figure I would post his work here so people will know more of him 😁

Just watched Apocalypse Now for the 4th times and man I wish I would get into a car crash that result in a deep coma making me forget all of my memories then experience this spectacular of a movie again like the first time. The incredible visuals, dialogues, soundtrack etc are just chef's kiss 👌 Why can't we get more movies like this nowadays?

Never cared for multiplayer and didn't play that mode in any of my games where that option was available. Same went for online gaming in general.

Only exception was MGSV where online was necessary in order to develop better weapons and gather/process materials faster. It was actually quite fun when you managed to invade another player's base and defend yours from another player's attack. But boy, what a grind that was 😅 Spent more than 300 hours on it, which is the most I ever put into one single game.

Despite being released as an incomplete game due to Konami and Kojima's well publicized feud, it remains to this day the greatest playing experience I ever had in all my gaming years.

MGSV is admittedly wasn't that great in terms of gameplay but story wise it adds so much to the story and I love it. Man Venom snake is probably one of, if not the most tragic character in the franchise if you ask me. The scene where he tried to catch his imaginary Paz over the guilt of not saving her before is heart breaking

    Good morning, everybody.

Today I have been reading an article about how Tom Cruise refused to allow "Top Gun: Maverick" to be released on streaming platforms in times of pandemic, instead of only releasing it in theaters, as it was eventually done.

    And I think it's great.

I think that many times he has been criticized -or made fun of- due to circumstances of his private life, maybe unfairly, yes... unfairly, but what I have no doubt about is that he is not only one of the great actors of our time, but he is someone who really loves cinema.

An actor-true-filmmaker, even if he doesn't direct.

A true man of this art and this business.

Someone who really puts his effort and gives everything so that the cinema continues to be the cinema. And that going to the movies continues to be a fabulous ritual.

    Long live Tom Cruise!

Ngl Tom Cruise is one of the actors who I respect the most in film industry. All of the movies I watched, there wasn't one where he didn't put his 100% into. The guy's acting is superb and despite his age he still pulls of a lot of crazy stunts that would make my jaw drops. Tho I'm gonna admit he's weird af but if the discussion is within the film industry only then this guy is second to none imo.

Same thing goes to Kevin Spacey, my all time favourite actor but I rarely bring him up in a discussion because people may think I support what he did irl (which I don't)

  10. Can't remember my first "wow" moment but the one that I can remember is definitely the scene in Sicario where he shot the cartel boss's family. IIRC the director was initially going to let them live but I'm glad he kept it as is. What makes this scene so strong is that after Alejandro killed the family then purposely waited a few seconds to let the mob boss's pain & emotions to set in before finishing him off.

"Every night you have families killed. And yet, here you dine. Tonight should be no different."

The second I posted the link one was snatched up and the other stayed available for maybe 30 minutes.

Maybe next time I will send you a private message instead of posting here to help your chances. When I see it I will let you know.

Dang I missed this one too, I'd love to know how did you get stock notice from them it seems pretty random at times 🤣

I guess it is WB release. Disc printings and region code is different😀

Once I get my hand on that one I'm going to buy a separate Criterion release and replace the disc over. I would preferably want a golden FS edition tho since the Criterion dics is yellow which matches the slip perfectly.
