Same here - I'd assume they're just in transit as global shipping is messy at the moment

I was able to grab SM2/3 elsewhere - But they've both got some weird issues. The FS seems to be losing it's finish in a few spots and the gloss on the SM2 and 3 steels is very patchy when light catches it from an angle. Has anybody seen something like this before?

Well my order from Weet is now showing as cancelled on their website 😞 - I haven't had any comms from them around this so I'm hoping it's an error, or something to do with the PayPal issue I mentioned earlier in the thread that can be resolved. Otherwise I'm going to be one sad guy. I've sent an email to their service address - I'm not sure how long they usually take to respond (sent one first thing this morning as well when I saw the PayPal issue) - if anybody knows a faster contact I'd definitely appreciate it

Until streaming can match the bitrate of a 4K bluray they're not going anywhere for quality enthusiasts 😂 There's also the added more recent issues of shows on streaming not having the original music due to rights issues (Scrubs), being poor quality remasters that crop the frame (Buffy) and the streaming rights moving between different platforms. If you have a few favourite movies it makes far more sense to buy a physical copy that you can just whack into a player whenever you want to watch it, instead of hunting around. But beyond that as @xSNAKExPLISSKENxsaid there will always be a niche collectors market for high quality physical media.

With how the allocations worked I wouldn't be surprised to see SM2/3 shooting up as they seem to have been produced in lesser quantities (or had a higher local allocation). Agreed - I fear it's only going to get worse if people keep buying them at inflated prices though

I really hope that when the world moves beyond this Pandemic that we'll see a massive drop off in reseller activity. It's nuts.

I think I managed to get a Weet order in! Oddly PayPal asked me for the amount and I can only see that amount being charged so far, but the order with all three is on my account page 😃 Has anybody else seen PayPal ask for an amount before?

Refreshing to have a 4K steelbook boxset come out at a fairly decent price after LOTR, Hobbit and Indy. Some nice (if not particularly inspired) extras as well.

Absolutely agree with this, keeping my fingers crossed to make it in to this buy but regardless of if I (or you) do or not please remember that we're all humans and don't take out the frustration on the team here trying to do their best! With that said This has definitely gone up on my priority list 😂

That OC is very tempting, but I bet the price is going to be $$$$ - think I'll stick with the 3 full slips

I'm feeling this pain for the first time upgrading my MCU from 3DBlu to 4K 😂 - it's great to know that there are plenty like me here with shall we say, humble roots? Hey all, Long time steelbook collector (or sufferer depending on whether you're my wallet or not) checking in, recently became aware of MP through the LOTR group buy which sadly I didn't get on this round, but fortunately there's a WEET Gold in the works 😉 Thinking back, I think my first steelbook was either Scott Pilgrim vs The World or the Metal Gear Solid HD collection on PS3. Both take me right back to those early days! I now have a bookcase full, so I've clearly spent too much on the hobby but every time I think I've got everything I need, retailers have a way of releasing something I didn't even know I wanted! I'm sure you're all familiar with the feeling... MP is my introduction to the real _premium_ side of this hobby, my main retailers so far have been Zavvi or HMV - take that as you will. Steelbook wish list: - Anything Star Trek that doesn't already have a steelbook (I don't count the standard movie poster releases for I - X and want proper steelbooks for HD TNG) - Spider-man 1-3 (got on the group buy for Weet 😉 super excited for it)! - Galaxy Quest (I know the US has one but it's far from inspired)! The favourite steelbooks I own: - GOTG (Original tape design - US Import) - Avengers 4 movie set (US Import) - Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse (4K - HMV) Happy to be here and looking forward to getting to know you fellow minded folk a little more as I get stuck further into this crazy collectors world! Price is a little steep, but I really like the external/internal contrast on these - just a shame most of the internal will be covered by disks as this is a BD/4K dual.

Oh damn I need this. Can't wait for the group buy!
