  1. Lucky ... in France, Warner screwed up totally ... we should have got this white steelbook (as shown on websites), but instead we got the same visual as front cover with the petslip case. And on the flyer they put on Amaray ... so stupid at Warner ... and their steelbooks are more and more shitty with mate finish I wrote to Warner, hope I'll get an answer !!!
  2. his way for shooting is special and with digital cameras it get something weird sometimes ... for example "Collateral". Heat is great with blue tone ... I hope the 4K keeps it. One good thing, we got a bonus bluray .... there was so much bonus with dvd at the time, remember the making of for Ridley Scott movies, it was so long, detailled ... now people are not anymore interested in bonus, just watch the movie and miss sometimes the little scene at the end of generic.
  3. in Europe we got some nice editions, but in US you got Best Buy with full glossy steelbooks. So everyone got great stuff, and it's frustated because if we want buy , it cost a lot. sometimes I buy on Amazon US ... big fan for movies artbook ... few years ago prices was half the price that is now . From now on we got shipping charges very high + import fee deposit. Wanted to buy the great book on Photography for Game of Thrones ... price $36 but with all fees total is $70 😠 About 4K master "Heat" ... are you sure Michael Mann approved it ? he is well known as perfectionist and very implicated in new collector editions, like every director with Criterion company. I bought this steelbook but not yet equiped with 4K materials as TV & 4K bluray player ... got an Oppo player & old great Panasonic, it's certified THX for 3D.
  4. Too bad indeed, but as it's not Warner anymore, I think it's the reason we don't get a collector's edtion with slipcase. and with Warner we would have get french subtitles, but we don't !! Reviews said 4K Master is not quite the best ... the 2017 steelbook with Director's Cut seems to have a better upgrade that this 4K master.
  5. bon week-end everyone .... merci @R1s1ngs0n
  6. Just received today a very nice edition from Plain Archive ... and really love the artbook I got since a few years now.
  7. I got the Fullslip instead of lenti .... golden effect embossed so great , and here the steelbook from this edition there is many korean edition for this movie ... this one is from "The On" editor. And after that, they released the 4K edition with the same fullslip & amaray, but no goodies. There is so many edition from this movie ... Criterion ... you should try to get also an old french collector with the soundtrack CD (brown packagin) ... the last french edition has not the soundtrack, it got the bluray disck instead and it's the same packaging but green one. If you may understand german ... so you have to buy this collector with 6 disc (Blu-ray + CD-Soundtrack + 3 Bonus-Blu-rays + DVD) If you really like getting movies & artbook, then you have to buy the great artbook "The Making of Pan's Labyrinth" here's the link for Amazon UK .... the cover is amaizing with spot gloss & embossed effects ... it's a must ... there is others movies from Del Toro with the same kind of artbook. The one for "Crimson Peak" is also a must.
  8. @Parzival hi, so do you please confirm that on this picture ... this is not a rigid fullslip as usual ? and the steelbook got a tranparent petslip + goodies inside the steeelbook ? Thanks you
  9. Receptions from this morning ... a big thanks to all MP Team 👍 I had others GB, but it's the firt time I take pictures from editions. Collectong, always some very good work 😍 and last, a surprise ... the replacement letter from the one-click "HER"
  10. I got the same from Fnac. it's nice, I'm happy to get it, I choose this one for the visuals (front & back). You did a pretty nice job with photoshop or other software. Be aware guys ... in hand this steelbook is not so sharp and vivid in red colors. the whole thing is much more bland in terms of colors.
  11. Really nice box ... but it's weird, I never paid some vat import , and I received lots of orders from Filmarena with DHL. Just hope it's not a new policy from Filmarena & DHL ... because someone told on a post that DHL will increase their prices from July 1st !
  12. I saw few of you get "Crawl" mediabook ... all covers are nice, but the one with the skin is fu****** amaizing. At the moment, my priorities for horror movies are steelbooks or french amaray. I have the amaray for "Crawl", good movie from Alexandre Aja ... it's been a long time he did not make a good movie. my top 3 from this director : "High Tension, "Hill have eyes 1" (remake from Wes Craven) and lately "Crawl" You're absolutly right about the inflation ... shipping & price product on Amazon US, prices for MB, steelbooks from Zavvi, & artbooks .... for all of this, prices are really increasing. So I do not buy as much as before especially with artbooks in US Today, I'm waiting for a box set steelbook collection "The Hunger Games" from Amzon IT.
  13. hi @javi when I say "high price" ... it's totally subjective ... price was 45 € + shipping on "shop.dtm.at" ... did not know this website. you surelly right saying it's a fair price ... but I never paid such price for an MB so I was surprised. Sometimes we have to make some choices, and I do not know if this "Martyrs" MB is a priority or not. I have also many artbooks for movies, since Covid, prices are higher So between premium editions & artbooks , it's a hard to choose Already have many preorders just in France & a great artbook for this summer "E.T" (it comes with goodies inside the books). It will be very nice with my UHDClub edition
  14. Yes, found this mediabook on german websites .... but no Paypal and high price. I spend money this afternoon, it was not planned .... it is The Hunger Games Collection 4K Steelbook from Amazon IT, because can't be delivered with Best Buy as I lived in France. So I'll wait for few weeks now ... and maybe I'll bought the nice mediabook ... really like this movie ... really great because you don't know why there is such violence, you have to wait till the end to understand the reason. As a regular, even there was GB, I would have no chance to get Mediabook with GB for very limited print run. @Mutantsmiley I appreciate your message and all informations ... just wished to know how you get your items ... don't think I'll pay for a gold coin, even if it's nice. You're right, it's normal there is german text on german editions but sometimes .... I prefer havin a flyer with text and audio / video infos. Since a few years Amazon blocked many things , most annoying is if you live in country, sometimes you can't ship / delivery to an adress in a different country. And sometimes, you also have to be Prime to buy the item. The only thing is to have a buddy all around the world who may buy the product you need on Amazon, & then send it to you. That's the only way.
  15. I checked on different website for "Maryrs" Cover B Mediabook, it's 75€ or 79€ + shipping. and same price for "Eden Lake" Mediabook. Also those site don't use paypal. No way I'll bought it. Those editions are a bit old, so I think it's more difficult to find. Actually I'm old school, just buying from GB MediaPsycho, or Amazon or Fnac in France. Don't buy anymore on Ebay, prices are so ridiculous, as you said Never bought on facebook groups .... either I don't know the group or I miss the edition ... I'm not so old but not very good for buisness 😃
  16. Hi @Mutantsmiley Very nice collecction edtions 👍 I wish I could have some mediabook, but now there are very expensive, Really wish to get a nice edition for "Martyrs" and "Eden Lake" for decent price. Like everyone, I have limited budget, can't afford to spent 70€ in a Mediabook ... and when it's time for preorder it's sold out very fast due to the limit print run. Do not know if you agree ... but sometimes there is some text in german on front & back cover, and IMO , really don't like it. I would prefer english text or no text on visuals. But it's obvious the text is in a german for a mediabook. By the way, could you tell please how you get your golden piece and different card MP ? Do we have to pay to get them in the store ? Thank you
  17. It seems we got common taste for french horror movies Maybe you already know, but I just checked & saw on google, there is plenty of mediabook in Austria for horror movies. I forgot to talk about "High Tension" which is excellent , I saw it in theater at the time, never saw at the movie such tension. And so, you can find some mediabook in Austria. I'm absolutly 100% agree with you, the making of from Pascal Laugier movies are as excellent & important as the movie itself. I never saw movies from Bustillo / Maury ... but I'll check & try to watch their movies It's sad because we do not have many horror / survival movies in France ... there are mostly comedy or drama in theater. Another must have in a collection ... never find a nice steelbook or digibook for a decent price .... movie called "Eden Lake", for me it's the best UK survival / horror movie. Of course ... we can't miss "The Descent" from Neil Marshall. Next movies from this director are not very good. But "The Descent" is a big slap I have this steelbook , but you may find mediabooks in Germany / Austria If you did not see it ... check the movie "Revenge", pretty good survival / horror , there is 2 different steelbook ... first one is glossy & embossed title, it's a spanish edition. and the second one, is a german edition, still available , full glossy ... but if you get it in Italia, you'll get the bluray + the soundtrack on CD. Did not like quiet enough this movie to buy steelbook.
  18. Really good choice ... Martyrs is a really good french horror movie ... do not know what you get as bonus ... but on the french bluray, there is a great making of from the director Pascal Laugier When I saw your edition .. I checked on Amazon DE ... there is 3 different mediabook but the price is way too high. your edition is 79€ + shipping. If you like horror movie from the same director ... you should check the good steelbook german ... with nice finish and once again there is a long making of very interesting. I really like this director ... there is the french singer "Mylene Farmer" in "Ghostland" ! You may also find a mediabook for "Ghostland" in germany.
  19. Great collection .... l love it 😍 Your furniture & shelf are really nice & convenient. By the way, won't you have a spare room for me please ? 😀
  20. same for me .. I put Asian edtions (korean, japan, chinese) all together on a shelf ... and I take a look a the spine & check on Kimchidvd with the publisher to know exactly which movie it is. I have almost 10-15 editions from CJ Entertainment, Ara Media,... so it's not too hard to find them on Kimchidvd & Novamedia, even it's sold out long time ago.
  21. If you really like this movie and can afford it ... you really should try and get the steelbook besides Plan Archive .... I have the steelbook, but I placed an order on Plain for Fullslip Type A ... I think the artwork fullslip for front & back is so good .... it's like one big picture. The Full Type B is the same ... one big picture, only colors are pretty the same as the steelbook. Other thing ... I really like your mediabook Apocalypto ... the finish looks so nice ... can you please confirm is there english sub ? Thank you Don't have this mediabook, I get the zavvi steelbook but visual is not "waouhhhhhhh"
  22. Hi, Did you have the french steelbook ? it's really great, full glossy .... but no german audio and no german sub ... there is english audio & sub. here it is :
