I had a great experience using hub for my Tenet full slip. Showed up super well packaged was kind of a life saver because I ended up having to move a few weeks ago

I think TDK , Prestige and Insomnia are all possibilities because they are Warner Brothers and Manta seems to have a good relationship with them. I don't know who has distribution rights for Memento. Memento doesn't even have a 4k release. If there was a 4k transfer and release of Memento I would be SO pumped. It's never included in the Nolan box sets

I feel like the premium market has gone absolutely nuts this past year due to pandemic. Dunkirk manta full slip was my first premium. After I got that baby in my hands all I felt was quality. I was hooked! And now I'm just blasting through all the boutique options. I wonder how many new members MP has had over the last 1.5 years. I'm so happy there's a physical media renaissance and that there are so many different competitors with discreet styles. Big studios seem to be pushing there physical media to third party distributors while the studio focuses on streaming. I think that's really good. Am I correct that HDZeta often has more goodies in their releases compared to Manta? Manta seems pretty minimalist but I really like the quality of the slips and images they print

Just bought an HDZeta full slip on ebay a few months ago 😂 idgaf tho. First OC here we come! Very nervous, because I'm not a premium member yet, but still really excited for this gorgeous release. Is everyone else as surprised as I was to see this release? Getting closer to completing a Manta Nolan set 🧐

What is your username & avatar all about ?
Lordosis replied to nefilim's topic in Member Introduction
Lordosis is the position or posture many mammals use when preparing for intercourse. Specifically, it is lowered anterior, raised up posterior. An invitation, if you will, through body language. Always though it would make a good band name. The avatar is The Great Danton, of the 2006 Christopher Nolan film, The Prestige. It's the sequence that opens the film, The Great Danton drowning in a glass box as someone watches. It's a deliciously nightmarish piece of cinema. I love spooky avatars on niche forums. When I was a kid, 20 years ago, internet forums were like these mysterious digital caves. The anonymity, surprising content and comradery are kind of thrilling. Happy to be here! Happy collecting! -
Is it too late for me to change to Hub shipping? I unexpectedly have to move out of my apartment 😬

I'm almost done with it! I've also got the Secrets of Tenet book which is nice to flip through. I got a chance to see it in IMAX 15/70mm at the Lincoln Square theater in NYC the other week. And omg it was transcendent. Saw it twice in one day. After the first showing I did some psychedelics. I was kind of tired and I was worried that the second showing wasn't going to be fun and I would just be exhausted, but I was so wrong. I always do some psychedelics for a Nolan film. He's one of the very few directors I trust to take me on a good trip. ***SPOILERS**** The final set piece just really did it for me emotionally that second viewing, when previous viewings hadn't hit me very hard (I've also got the best buy steelbook I've been watching, so I've seen the movie many times now). Neil running around this chaotic battlefield trying to save his friend just hit me so hard. My best friend is really struggling with psychological illness and I feel like that sometimes. Just trying to navigate this hopelessly chaotic environment trying desperately to save my friend. Chef's kiss. This movie is about the prison of time and the prison of our subjective experience and how love and friendship transcend that prison. I just think it's a really beautiful theme. Nolan was able to get at it in this movie without explicitly saying it, like Brand's speech in Interstellar (I love that monologue btw, which most people seem to hate it lol). Then I walked around Manhattan before getting on a train and I was on another planet lol. The 15/70mm presentation was SO fabulous. It's hard to describe. The resolution, the color, the massive visual field from the IMAX...it was really really special

I LOVE Tenet. Jonathan Nolan told Chris that he thinks it's the apotheosis of Chis Nolan's fascination with time in filmmaking. Thrilled with this Manta release! Got a full slip and really had to restrain myself from getting the one-click. I've got the Dunkirk Manta full slip and it's gorgeous. Any other big time Tenet fans out there?
